The gentleman there told me that they were used but still in really good condition. He quoted me $220 and they got to work. In the end everything looked great andI had no reason to question anything considering I have been here multiple times in the past. On 3/1/26 in the morning the driver side rear tire air pressure sensor comes on. I'm thinking it's due to the change in weather not the tire. I go to put air in it and everything seems fine. When I come out of the grocery store the light turns back on and I decide to go to Big O tires near me. They informed me that the 3 out of the 4 tires sold to me was in good condition and the one that I am having issues in had an existing tire patch/plug closer to the outer edge of the tire and it is no good. The guy also pointed out the tire was cracking and it was manufactured in 2023 and all of the other ones were from 2025. I ended up having to purchase another tire for $129 and spending 1.5 hours in the tire shop on my birthday. I understand that there is some risk in buying used tires but having to spend more money on something that didn't even last a week is ridiculous. Make sure that you thoroughly check the tires that you buy from this shop to avoid this happening to you as well.

I plugged my phone in and sat it on the table and got comfortable for a longer wait, but moments later, true to the 1.5 hour estimate, they said my truck was ready. They advised me of some sort of leak on the front axle, but told me to check with the dealership because it might be under warranty. I appreciate that. I'll definitely be back for future service.

After stellar Yelp reviews (4 plus) guided us to AMC, paid over $3000 (for a broken serpentine…read morebelt, AC belts, new radiator etc., with all parts warranted per AMC). Confident and relieved we'd found a "go to" mechanic in Phoenix, one month later the car began experiencing intermittent power steering outage issues. Our son (in college and alone far from home) immediately brought the car back in, but AMC essentially refused to pop the hood, or otherwise even look at the car "unless the driver could replicate the issue". Two weeks later power steering and AC completely failed on a busy highway (due to a leaking radiator hose that ultimately fried the alternator). Paid an additional $800.00 (plus towing) to a competitor to fix what AMC should've caught. Also, AMC hours are now M-Th and of course this emergency happened on a Friday. First time Yelp has led me astray. 9/9/2026 - Owner Gilberto immediately reached out on Yelp below apologizing and asking for submission of additional repairs documentation to handle the case "fairly". To be fair, I did not go into specifics of prior phone interactions with Gilberto - owner - after the car was first towed to AMC and the had to be retowed to another shop due to AMC's inability to handle after hours emergencies (eg., no closed parking, nor key drop or other available). While all calls with were professional and courteous, Gilberto was ultimately unhelpful and disappointing (leaving us with limited options). The fact that AMC refused to do anything after the car was brought in by our son (for scary warning signs similar to the original problems) just prior to a catastrophic (towable) failure on a busy roadway is what is unacceptable. Not saying AMC is a bad business, they just really blew it. For minor car maintenance (oil changes and tire repairs) AMC is probably great. For major car repairs go elsewhere in the valley, please.

Ends up it wasn't worth repairing and so I opted to purchase 2 new tires. I was here around 9am and left once I was picked up around 10:30am. To have the same tires that are currently on my SUV, they had to get tires delivered from a different store. Once the tires were delivered, it would drop me to the bottom of the queue. Cool, I wouldn't be here anyhow. I later received a call stating they could do a free alignment. I said sure, why not. I'm getting 2 new tires, that would be a good idea. I received an update call and later a text advising my SUV is ready for pickup. I arrive at the store and my SUV is still sitting in the bay being worked on. I get to the desk and the person I am speaking with can't find my keys. I advised him it's still in the bay. He later comes back to me and advises me that the person working on my SUV is away at lunch. I am now confused as to why I received a text stating my vehicle is ready. So I am given the option to wait or have my SUV retrieved. I stated I was called about an alignment being done so I'd like to receive that free service as accepted an hour and a half ago. The guy working on my SUV returns and long story short states there's work that needs to be done on the assignment that would cost $89. I pretty much said get my SUV and I'll address it another time. The communication in this store is pretty much horrible. I watched other customers while waiting for my SUV to be brought out with confused looks on their faces at the information they were being told. I will probably never return to this location.
