I don't know how this dealer even has two stars. Yelp should offer a zero-star rating. Customer service is non-existent. They don't care about their customers satisfaction (obvious by the copy/paste response you get on here from Robert to every bad review) Truly, I'm not sure how any of them sleep at night. Everyone from the sales department to service department is dishonest. This dealer gives Ford a bad name and should be shut down. I had a very bad experience here. The sales guy was nice at first but I did have many questions and wanted to test drive a few cars and he made me feel like I was taking too much of his time. When we got in the showroom after deciding on a make and model they we unwilling to negotiate on the price at all. Then I had to wait for some kind of assistant manager. He took forever and actually stood at the table next to us talking on his cell phone while we waited. He then would not reduce the price of the vehicle at all, he then told me he would give me a good deal on a truck but not the car I wanted. I was then thanked for visiting, he also told he that they were open until 7 but he might close at 6. I went to Earnhardt Ford and had a great experience. I purchased a 2014 Ford Fusion SE. I would not recommend wasting time with San Tan Ford. I hope that the owner or GM reads this review and makes some corrections. If I was the manager I would make some changes immediately. read more

From the moment I purchased my my vehicle at this location, it has been a huge disappointment. It started with the purchase of the vehicle itself. I gave the specifications for the vehicle I wanted. One of the key specifications was that it had the upgraded wheels. The salesman promised me that it had the wheels even after I questioned it for further confirmation. When my truck arrived, the wheels were not upgraded. I asked them to get the upgraded wheels and they told me Ford quit making them. I found this very questionable considering it was a new model vehicle, but they assured me this was the case. I decided to take ownership of the truck as it was in high demand and I had circumstances that required me to close the deal quickly. They did give me 3 oil changes for my frustration with the wheels and a $1,000 credit on the truck. That doesn't cover the cost of wheels, but it was all I could get from them. I used one oil change. I bring in my vehicles when the oil indicator goes off. After coming for my 2nd free oil change, they told me they were expired after 15,000 miles. New vehicles do not require 5,000 mile oil changes. I only was able to use the one oil change in which an expiration was never quoted to me, I was lied to about my wheels, and one last service item. I made an appointment and stated I would need to stay for the oil change. Upon arriving they told me it would take several hours before my truck would even be serviced regardless of my appointment time. I don't review often, but I will take my business to another Ford dealership. read more

The 2015 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 we purchased from San Tan Ford had a sticker on it, in the pre owned lot, noting "1 previous owner" and then when asked if the car had any accidents, we were told NO and showed an inaccurate car fax. We purchased the vehicle 8/27/17. We are appalled by the unethical antics of San Tan Ford !! We were in a vulnerable position as my husband and I had one of our previous vehicle die on us a month prior to our wedding. San Tan Ford, specifically Abe the manager reassured us that we would be able to drive away safely in a vehicle of theres. It wasn't till 4/23/19 that we went to Bill Luke's Dealership across the street and they pulled up our Mustangs car fax which noted 4 OWNERS and an accident that occurred 6 months prior to our purchase of the Mustang. The accident with the previous owner had front and rear end damage in which San Tan Ford had acknowledged and reported. We were very adamant about knowing the cars past and details, but blatantly omitted during the sale of the vehicle to us ! Do NOT entrust your safety or your families safety in the hands of San Tan Ford's, they are crooks and immoral. If I could give them zero stars I would. Not just the dealership, but also Ford. I have a 2013 Ford Focus that I paid $2500 for an additional warranty that apparently does not cover the drivers door latch. Ford's quality is so sub par. My only option is to pay $450 to replace the latch, or tie wrap the door shut on a car that is 3 years old. Ford is crap!!! Update. I am updating San Tan Ford to two stars. My wife talked to the manager and they reimbursed some of the cost. This should have been done by the service tech though simply for the fact we bought the car and warranty there. The rest of the money may be reimbursed if Ford recalls the latch. There are three more doors that this may happen to. I suggest keeping a watch on the back doors if you cart grandkids like we do. Car of my dreams! Then returned it!! RETURNED it because of undisclosed information! They also didn't apply my down payment to the cost of the car! Crooks! Beware of the add on's too! You don't need a Desert Pro package, Ford warranties the paint on the vehicle for three years! The DEfence system was sold as a 36 mo. and they charge you $695 for the system & contract, but what they don't tell you it's the warranty. The actual system it self is only good for 1 yr. after that you are required to pay $89 a yr for the system. Lo-Jack $600 for life of car. None of this was disclosed. Tri Color white Platinum Ford Explorer. BUT!!!! Be very careful moving forward with these people!!! First be very careful in buying the DFence alarm system, we were told it was good for three years, what the manufacture stated it was a guarantee they'll pay you certain amount of money if the car is stolen w/in three years, however the system cost you over $695 + a year to maintain. A week into owning the Dfence system we started getting non-stop text from the company that car had been moved and where it was going. It was me driving the vehicle all along. We couldn't stop the texting or the none stop flow of emails. I was getting the text msg and so was my husband at work, which was making my husbands work day impossible!! So the system had to be swapped out for another one. After the manufacturer explaining how the DFence system worked, we've decided on Lo-Jack. It's for the life of the vehicle and the police are involved immediately. The buying experience was very quick, it left you sitting there wondering what did you get or didn't get. The guy went through it so fast, I had no clue as to what I was purchasing or not. One thing I must admit, the finance guy doesn't know squat about the repair issues on these vehicles. Told me there were no spark plugs, belt or chain to be dealt with on these vehicles, so he didn't want to sell us the maintenance warranty on this vehicle. I think perhaps he needs to go back to school. After bringing this to his attention, he told me the dealership could always take the car back. Then they tried to tell me that the dealership doesn't have to honor USAA 100,000 mile warranty on the vehicle and that we basically bought into something w/USAA that was worthless. It was nothing but one stressful issues after another. After USAA getting involved in this and a three way phone call conversation. San Tan will probably be losing their True Car Buying status with USAA. Who does this to our people in uniform? This isn't how you treat your people who've defended your Country! The finance department leaves a lot to be desired. Jason (same guy who said the car had no belts or plugs) said if I didn't like how things went down, I could return the vehicle. You spend over $57,000 with a dealership and this is the gratitude you get? They were also trying to talk me out of my USAA 100,000 warranty in order to buy there's. Said dealership wasn't obligated to take third party warranties. After calling several dealerships they had no problem taking a third party warranty. I brought my truck in because the battery went bad. The battery was un warranty but they refused to honor the 3 year warranty. They said they only honor the warranty on "NEW" batteries purchased from "Them". They said that if I don't like it, complain to Ford. This is and update to a prior review I made of San Tan Ford on 9/29/2014. I received a reply from GM Tim H. I feel it is important to let consumers know that when I spoke with Annie Pierce (assistant to the General Manager), she told me all responses from the General Manager, she primarily responds to on Yelp. Meaning the message and comments left by Tim H are mostly written by someone else. So the "heartfelt" response left under my review was written by someone who knew my ongoing situation with their dealership. The mock "wow" insinuating surprise to my review isn't a surprise at all. The 75 dollar charges and gift cards for the botched leather job and joyride in my car was made by Annie Pierce. The same person writing the majority of the responses on Yelp in the name of Tim Hovik. But I still sent Tim H a message back on the off chance he might have truly written that response to my review. I asked if could set up that meeting with him on the phone or in person as I have only tired for the last 4 months to get it. At this point I can't say I have a whole lot of faith that meeting will take place or that the message will be received. I know a General Manager can't respond to every Yelp review but this response tells me the messages on yelp never really reach the GM. How can I tell that? I gave enough information on this review for this dealership to know who was writing the review. If they even remotely cared about making this right I would have received a phone call from Tim personally or his assistant Annie. That has not happened and I waited a full month before responding to Tim's response to my review to see what would happen. Clearly more of the same, NOTHING. Buyer beware, its smoke and mirrors all the way with San Tan Ford. There are so many reasons why I would NEVER buy a Ford again. Some of them have have to do with this dealership and some of them have to do with Ford Motor Company. I do want to point out that there is one redeeming thing about this dealership and that is the service manager, Leslie. She is wonderful and I hope they know how good they have it with her. She would be the only reason I would ever go back there. There were so many debocals with this dealership from the time time that I tried to buy my car. I say TRIED, because the car that they ordered for me, the sold out from under me when it came in. Yup, sold it. They scurried to try to find me a car that matched the one I ordered and it turned out to be a lemon. That's right, a lemon. From start to finish with Ford it was one thing after another. They were extremely unhelpful at the corporate level and I even hired an attorney. At the end of the day, I was able to get rid of my vehicle and went to BMW where I am treated right. This is a review for the sales part of San Tan Ford. We had a guy named Chet follow up with us for months on buying a car from last Fall. He did call a little too often, and we did tell him our concerns and issues. He seemed to not here the issues or concerns we voiced. We told him we most likely weren't going to be buying until Mar'15 or later, sometime in 2015. Guess he was super eager to sell us a car and just kept at it. It did seem like high pressure sales to us, and he was telling us what we wanted to hear and basically lying to us, or maybe he didn't know. We wasted a lot of time here and got our hopes up. This really negative experience we had in January 2015 made us decide that if we should choose a Ford to buy, we will not be buying it from this dealership. The other guy that followed up after Chet was not friendly, but at least he gave us correct information. Please train your sales people correctly. They cannot make ANY deal happen at ANY time. Please be realistic to your customers. Ever since this time in January 2015, Chet never followed up with us nor apologized to us for leading us in the wrong direction. We most likely will get a new car in the next week or so and we would rather drive to Mesa or Tempe to one of those Ford dealerships, at least to buy the car. read more

I've had 3 experiences with this dealership. 1st- They treated my wife in a sexist manner- treating her like she didn't know anything about purchasing a vehicle and quoted her an 800.00 dollar monthly payment on a Fusion. I came shortly after she arrived and was quoted roughly half the amount they told her (no change in who was financing the vehicle). 2nd- Leased a vehicle at 30,000 miles for 2 years. Drove 8,000 miles per year for the lease term and returned it in above average shape. Lease termination inspection came back with minor/normal wear and tear issues that shouldn't be charged for and they decided to charge me additional fees (using the inspection company AutoVin). Be prepared to pay additional costs at the end of your lease- no matter how great the cars condition is. 3rd- Leased a vehicle and drove off the lot. Got home and got a call from the finance manager saying that they couldn't do the deal and said I needed to come back and purchase the vehicle. Came back and said "absolutely not- we agreed to these terms" and gave back the vehicle... and got my trade-in back. The finance manager backtracked and tried to reinstate the original deal. I stood my ground and refused. He came back at 100.00 per month less than the original deal... and I still refused (probably should of taken then deal lol). I left that day without a new vehicle because management/dealership were just a bunch of dishonest liars. I'd suggest staying away from these guys. read more

Was looking for very specific vehicle configuration. Our local Ford dealer did not have it. I was in touch with 4 dealers in the Phoenix area that had the vehicle the way I wanted or very close. Three of those dealers provided detailed quotes. San Tan Ford was not one of them. Three different sales people contacted me via email or text message. I asked for quotes. The all responded with a nebulous "just come on down and lets talk" - no quote. One, who identified himself as a sales manager said "bring your quote (from another dealer) and we'll make it happen" - whatever that means. In the end, it felt like they wanted to trap me in an office at the dealership and snooker me into a price that would not require them to have to beat the other dealers. worst dealership in the world!!!!! i would give it -5 stars if i could!!! does not treat their vets kindly, completely rude, and the worst part is this... we went in to trade in two vehicles for one, without signing an official contract, they had already put both our cars on a truck to ship out for an auction... when the deal was not at all what they promised, we decided to not trade our cars in, come to find out our cars were already gone!! they told us to come back two days later for our cars, but it could take up to a week!!! when we got in my car they lost our keys, damaged the bolts and license plate, the ac no longer works, the check engine light is on, and two more lights are now on that were not on before they took our car, put it on a truck to sell, when it wasn't even their car to sell yet!!!!! when we asked them to fix it they said "its not our car, not our problem" they also admitted to damaging it, and admitted to the fact that they were wrong in taking our car on the truck to another city without a signed contract and without our permission!!! horrrrrrible place!!!!!! Also, online the ticket price was 37 and they tried to sell it for 47 saying they dont know why its online for 37 and they cant honor it... plus! They completely tried to change their promises, and every time I asked for privacy so I could talk to my husband alone, they would barge in and wouldn't let us even think! We found a truck that we wanted and was in our price range. We waited 15 minutes for a salesman to come but finally we went inside and waited for 22 minutes (timed) to see a salesman. Finally we found one, and his first words are "what". Immediately the salesman had no customer service. We stated that we want to test drive a king ranch and he acted like we were inconveniencing him. He said "give me your license" When he returned with the keys (18 minutes later) He said "Give me your phone number" I said no, give me my id back we don't want anything from you. The grey haired, tall older mean man actually looked surprised that we were done with his crappy attitude. I will never be back to Santan Ford. What a disgrace to the ford name. read more

I called the service dept regarding the recall letter I received. I spoke to the person and asked if I could make an appointment. She said they did not make appointments for recalls, and that I they only accepted walk ins and I would need to leave my car for 3 to 4 days. I was stunned. I questioned her it, and she said "well we service over 200 cars a day". I thanked her, and I called Larry Miller Ford, and my request was handled quickly, and I have scheduled appointment to have the recall issue resolved. read more

This is the kind of place that will try and pressure you into making a deal at full MSRP. Went in to drive a car, sales rep was a super nice guy. Had a great experience driving the car - we were able to take the car out ourselves without sales guy which was nice. As soon as we got back the sales manager came out and started asking to make a deal but couldn't even understand financing loan amounts or terms. In addition to this he wouldn't listen to me when I asked for simple information to be included in a sales quote. He just kept saying 0% interest financing over and over again. 0% financing is great but not when you're selling at full MSRP, got to be more competitive than that, especially with all the other dealerships around. I went to San Tan Ford yesterday. I dealt with a sales person named Shannon. She had great personality was helpful and knew her stuff. I test drove the new 2017 f350 6.7 B20. That thing is a rocket. I have been brand loyal to Chevy my whole life but hate the placement of their DEF tank. A third grader could have done better job. IMO. All of that said I didn't like the vultures circling for their next pray on the car lot ( sales people). They are usually are overzealous. It always feels like I'm there to be there new best friend. I'm not, it's just business. Wish there was a way to buy and negotiate a deal without them. Yes I realize there's an Internet price but you can get a better price by haggling in many cases. I've read many of the Yelp reviews, and a lot of people are hung up on the dealer-added Desert Protection package. I'll agree that no one wants to see extra fees tacked on to their sales invoice. So knowing about it ahead of time, despite how transparent the dealership may or may not be, is important! With that out of the way ... I went in after the first of the month to purchase a F150, and the dealership didn't seem too crowded. And I'm happy to report that the service I received was excellent, from all those involved (general sales manager, salesman, finance, new car orientation, etc), and I am grateful for it. I have had negative experiences at a handful of the local Chandler dealerships (not naming any names), but San Tan Ford was NOT on of them. I have not been in to see the Service department yet, but I will say the Parts department was very easy to deal with. I obviously hope my new truck lasts me a LONG time, but if I was in the market for a new automobile I would not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from them. read more

I truly don't understand the poor reviews. My family is full of major Toyota drivers, and we recently purchased a Ford Explorer through San Tan and the experience was exceptional. Friendly, low-hassle service- we had a few folks asked if we were okay and when we explained we were just looking they backed off and gave us some distance. It was a hot day when we bought (July) and the staff offered free cold bottled water. The finance team (Abraham) was nice, knowledgeable and gave us a great deal on extended warranty coverage. The showroom is well designed, easy to get around, nice and cool A/C (remember, we were there in July) and they showcase their premiere autos (Shelby Mustang). I am certain we received a great deal on the truck. The "sale" process took less than an hour, we spent maybe 3 hours at the dealer total (hunting, questions, test drive, purchase, finance, etc.). We received a follow-up call from our sales person the following day- making sure we were happy with our purchase. The owner greeted us and thanked for our business after we "rang the gong". Most of the AZ Cardinals shop here, offering pretty cool stories from staff if you ask them. The service station is excellent- we came in for quick battery check (they replaced for free after discovering issues), and a quick wait the couple times I've been there. They'll wash the car every time you come through as a courtesy service. read more
