Best of all, when he quoted me the price as "$75 an hour, or a fraction thereof," I assumed he meant what most people mean by that: The first hour is $75 no matter what, and if it's 61 minutes, then it's $150. I dropped my laptop and contacted Sam to get a quote. He drove over to my house to pick up my laptop and take it back to look over it all for free. He then fixed it and said he could work around my budget. The very next day, he was able to drop it off again at my house with my laptop back in working condition. Service was exemplary, but the way he runs his business is something I've never experienced before. I wasn't given a quote after he took my laptop to diagnose it, he just fixed it without an estimate and I was given the freedom to choose my budget and price. When he came to my house to drop off my laptop, I was able to pick it up and he said I could just Venmo him later. He seemed like someone who cares more about the service than the money, which is a good thing. Blown away by Sam's service. Kid spilled water in the laptop and it was dead. Instead of charging for a repair to a device that was too old - Sam advised that it wasn't worth it and helped with quickly and cheaply recovering the data. Sam was great. Friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive, he at first tried to help me with my issue over the phone and via text, free of charge, which was great. That unfortunately didn't solve my issue, so he made a house call later that evening and did a complete system check. I'd built a new PC rig and it wasn't powering on and I couldn't figure out why, and he did a diagnostic on my whole system. We determined it was the power supply, at first thinking it was a bad PSU unit but it was the model that didn't wanna play nice with my rig for some reason. Got a new one, a different make and model, popped it in, and now all's working great. The house call was great because Sam was transparent with everything he was doing and explained as he went, and was able to check out all the components to pinpoint where the trouble was coming from. Highly recommend Sam and his services! My son's computer stopped working and he suspected it was the mother board. We contacted Sam and he was very prompt to respond, pick up the computer and diagnose the problem.
