Unfortunately, in my experience, they are considerably less effective at the thing that actually matters--properly handling an alarm activation. I have been a Post Alarm customer for many years, and I have repeatedly provided clear instructions about what should happen when an alarm is triggered. Yet when an actual activation occurs, those instructions do not seem to be followed in any consistent or logical way. They are also remarkably persistent about calling repeatedly in the middle of the night--even when they have specifically been instructed not to do so--sometimes apparently for no reason other than to "clear" something from their system. Getting call after call after call in the middle of the night without an actual emergency is not security; it is enormously disruptive. What has been most frustrating is the lack of accountability when these problems occur. There seems to be plenty of infrastructure devoted to billing, rate increases, and selling new services, but far less attention paid to making sure the monitoring service itself operates according to the customer's instructions. After many years as a customer, I find this extremely disappointing. A security company should inspire confidence when an alarm goes off. Instead, my experiences with actual alarm activations have too often been confusing, frustrating, and inconsistent with the instructions I have clearly provided.

I had him install an outdoor ring camera (which he connected to my internet, as well, before he left knowing that it was working and ready to scan the premises), an OnGUARD Door Reinforcement for my front door, a screen metal door for my back door, a Door Barricade Bar for my master bedroom and a sensor light for my backyard (photos pictured). Let's just say, I feel sooo much safer in my home than I did before Roger installed all of this. I have used Roger multiple times (bike and light installations) and will continue to hire him for any projects. His flexibility and his dedication for excellent builds/assemblies are unmatched. I have a great amount of trust in him that he will get the job done quickly and correctly. Finding an honest handyman like that is hard to find because frankly, I've tried! I sent an email following up. NOTHING. Finally, a full two weeks after my initial inquiry, I received this email response: Hi steve, I'm so sorry about such a delayed response. I'm sure you've already booked someone. I did review the specs, it's out of the project's too small, we just don't deal with these types of cabinets. I would have appreciated a prompt "sorry your job is too small" response so that I could have moved on. So don't go to them with a small job or Ikea cabinets. I decided to hire a professional assembler again and opted to try a different company this time for comparison. [Quote and scheduling]: Assembly Masters do not list pricing information on their website. Customers must request a quote via the "GET A FREE QUOTE HERE" button on the website or by calling their contact number. I submitted my request online and received an initial quote of $119.00 (flat rate with no tax) for one cabinet. However, I clarified that my initial job request was assembling two IKEA BRIMNES cabinets and the representative apologized for the typo. Unlike few other assembly companies, Assembly Masters require (1) customers to provide their full address and phone number for order confirmation and (2) provide credit card information to secure the appointment. I later called their number where I spoke with Todd who was very friendly. He finalized my appointment and processed my credit payment payment over the phone. [Service terms and conditions]: Here are some key service terms and conditions to be aware of - * FREE street / validated or paid parking by customer; parking to be provided for Assembler * All boxes to be located in the desired area for assembly prior to arrival * Attaching Items to the wall is an optional service - added charge may apply * Moving items to another room after Assembly is not included * Empty boxes and debris are stacked neatly for disposal by customer * Assemblers do not haul trash/ boxes away after service is complete * Assemblers are NOT required to move existing furniture/ Items * Pictures/ Video of assembly are taken by Assembler for verification [Process]: The technician Alvaro arrived within 24 hours of my booking and within the 3-hour scheduled time window. He was friendly and well-prepared with his tools. Alvaro was able to complete the assembly of both IKEA BRIMNES cabinets in just over an hour. [Conclusion]: Assembly Masters provided a reasonable quote and completed the job efficiently. However, few areas could use improvement including (1) allowing customers to pay in cash or by credit card in person before the job begins rather than requiring payment over the phone, (2) listing clear service prices (or price range) on the website instead of requiring customers to request a quote, and (3) offering to haul away empty boxes instead of leaving them to the customer. Personally these are relatively minor issues, but another furniture assembly company I recently worked with managed to accomplish all three of these areas in addition to completing the assembly job. If these points are not dealbreakers, Assembly Masters is still a solid choice for anyone looking to save time assembling IKEA furniture.

The quality of their workmanship was exceptional, with great attention to detail and a focus on ensuring that the bed was both secure and functional. On top of that they were so nice and extremely helpful. They even moved heavy furniture from one level of our house to another and cleaned everything up once they were finished. I even got a follow up call from Marcelo just to see how everything went. They were the best!
