I wanted two televisions mounted to the walls and a mirror put above the fireplace. That work was done. BUT, I told Sam I did not have any materials for the work in my initial work inquiry. I hired Sam and his crew to help me with 3 items... a standing desk, a printer stand, and a chair for a home office. I sent him pictures and descriptions in advance and he was very prompt to get back to me with a quote for services. We hired him because his ratings are excellent and he had help... this was a job for more than 1 person. He was a great communicator and arrived on time. Turns out the desk was a much more complicated assembly than he expected but he and his team were committed to completing all 3 projects even though it took much longer than they anticipated. A critical piece was missing from the standing desk that didn't allow the up/down mechanism to function. They put everything else together and explained in detail what was missing. I later contacted the vendor to explain the missing part and why the desk wasn't working, and they sent the part via overnight mail. Once received, I contacted Sam again to see if he was willing to return to help me get the desk working. He was happy to assist and returned exactly when he said he would. He successfully installed the recovered part to finish the standing desk. He refused to charge for the 2nd trip out, but we insisted on a tip for his time and commitment. I truly appreciate Sam and his associates for their dedication to being on time, providing excellent assembly work, and stellar customer service. Businessmen like this are hard to come by. I really hate writing this review but I think it needed to be done. Unfortunately, my wife and I had a horrible experience with Richard - Sam's tile guy. It boiled down to Richard not having the experience or know-how when installing a tile back splash in our kitchen of the new home we purchased. He showed and provided evidence repeatedly that he didn't know what he was doing, whether it was steps to take, things to consider, materials to purchase, and so on. I'm actually quite certain our tile job was his first tile job, despite repeatedly saying he's done it time and time again. After weeks of delay and after making my wife so stressed that she cried, I kicked him off the job and our of new home despite the tile not being done. Honestly, he would've done it wrong anyway. Note that Sam himself did take responsibility for his worker, and did give us a bit of a discount. However, when asked to return and have someone else first the remaining bits, he declined. We're still looking for someone to fix up the mess left behind. Not how we wanted to start our home ownership, but I guess I've heard worse. read more
