If I could give Marcelo and his team more then 5 stars I would. He is so quick to respond most companies didn't even pick up their phone or get back to me over days. Marcelo responded right away with my request for a quote. We just received our Ikea Pax closet system this past Sunday and I asked when he would be available for an install he wrote me back he had an opening the next Day Monday. Before this I was told by other companies they might take 1-2 month for an appointment for install!!?? I couldn't believe he was telling me that this could be done the next day. Monday comes and Nestor arrives very professional has all of his tools ready to go and even brought his own table this guy means business. He only asked a few questions where we want our closets and what doors go on which closet. He's been doing this a long time you can tell and very experienced. He was there for over 8 hours into the night 9pm assembling until the last handle was put on. I never been so happy to put my clothes away and organize our space. Nestor did an amazing job! Dig- Marcelo used to work for Urban Express years ago (pre-2010)- the shitty company that Ikea uses exclusively if you order their home assembly. Now, would you rather call Urban Express in New York (that's where you have to call to make the reservation), have them flake on you (read the reviews- they specialize in totally screwing up your day by mis-scheduling their repairs), pay the markup of going through 3 middle men, and take a gamble on whether you will get a good, honest, safe, clean, smart furniture assembly guy.. I honestly cannot say enough about Mr. Assembly and the absolute incredible quality service they provided us this week. We had a Murphy bed delivered for installation and I simply didn't trust my skills to complete the task - and boy was I right. They start off the right foot (Marcelo was incredibly quick and easy to communicate with from the start) and when the technician Alberto and his son arrived they simply made me feel confident from the get go. They CLEARLY knew exactly how to do this job and what it would take. They worked cleanly and with exceptional attention to detail. They didn't rush into it, everything was meticulous from ensuring where pipes were in the wall to whether the carpet would interfere. At the end of the day when they were packing up they noticed a tiny little click when the Murphy bed closed ; without question I wouldn't even have given it a second thought. Alberto got his tools back out and fastened the bottom board to the floor, pushing it into the carpet further - voila, no more click. It's absolutely perfect and my daughter absolutely adores it. Communication with Marcelo was fantastic throughout, even though we're fairly far out in the valley there was no issue. I've assembled a lot of Ikea furniture over the years, and though their pieces are time consuming to put together, they usually are doable. But the Besta system's DOORS kicked my ass. Those damn doors have these european hinges that are a huge pain to figure out how to adjust properly, if you're hanging them right next to each other. They have to be perfectly flush & square, or else the whole thing looks like crap. After an hour of Youtube videos & trying & re-trying, I Yelped "Ikea assembly" and requested a quote from Mr. Assembly. Within 10 minutes, I had a reasonable quote. The next morning, after 15 short minutes of work, these guys finished hanging those damn doors, & they now look perfect. If you ever get anything from Ikea with Besta doors, do yourself a favor and don't even try it alone. Ask Mr. Assembly to do it for you. read more

I hired them to assemble close to 25 furniture at my house back on May. I dealt with Marcelo, and he is responsive, responsible, and courteous. They initially did not assemble the dining chairs correctly, but Marcelo promptly sent someone to take care of all of the problems even though he has been paid in full. The only reason that I did not give them 5 stars is because I felt that their service is kinda pricey, and they should have been more careful when they were moving the assembled furnitures. We ordered an 11 piece garage storage cabinets that came completely disassembled. At first I reached out to few people that were recommended to me by my contractors etc. And no one wanted to take the job, and those who said yes wanted to change almost the price of the cabinets. I had a *ton* of furniture from IKEA delivered to my apartment and wanted it all assembled and installed on one day. Marcelo sent two guys. They worked very hard for 8 hours to get the job done. They worked quickly and very professionally. They were extremely courteous, handling all of my requests and getting feedback from me along the way to get everything installed precisely the way I wanted it. They even helped move some of my old furniture out of the way and helped with clean-up. I was originally planning to have IKEA do the assembly themselves. However, IKEA flat-out refused to assemble anything in my apartment just because it has baseboard! This was no problem for Marcelo's crew, however. They easily installed all of my tall units around the baseboard and securely fixed everything to the wall. I'm very happy with the end result, and I'd gladly hire Marcelo's company to assemble furniture for me in the future. read more

I bought a closet system from Ikea, and being tired from life's toils, I inquired about delivery and assembly through Ikea. Though delivery was quoted at a reasonable rate of $59 (same day), assembly would be $350! The closet system was under $700, so I couldn't rationalize the cost. Cut to my attempt at assembly. Although I have assembled numerous Ikea furniture pieces, from simple to complex, I found myself having difficulty with this item, and was quickly exasperated (and had already damaged a few screw holes). My wife suggested I look into the assembly service again, and I decided to cave. I found Marcelo on Yelp, and decided to follow the positive reviews. After I submitted a web request through his website, he called me within about an hour, and we scheduled an early morning appointment for assembly. Marcelo arrived to my house promptly, brought tools and drop cloths with him, and was even able to reverse the damage I had done to the piece in my futile attempts at assembly. He put the whole thing together in about two hours, and charged under $200. He took out the trash himself, and even took a look at my crooked sink, and fixed it for free. I'm not kidding--this was some of the best service I have gotten in LA. From now on, I will be sure to use Marcelo's services when I buy furniture from Ikea.
