After contacting him on Yelp, I gave him my phone number for a phone consultation. He called the first time at 10pm on a Thursday night without any heads up. I wasn't sure who it was because it was so late and the caller ID said "Pro TV Mounting Same Day..." I figured it was him because then he sent me a message on Yelp that night saying "I tried calling and no one answered". I messaged him to schedule a call at a time that was more reasonable. No answer. Then the same number called during a Sunday afternoon. I asked again to please just schedule the call. When I called at the scheduled time, he sounded almost half asleep on the phone (sorry I woke you up!) and I tried explaining clearly what was wrong with the issue and he said repeatedly, "why don't you just call the people who originally installed it". I mentioned I was unhappy with their work and wanted someone else. He clearly was unfamiliar with what was going on and didn't know basic terminology for installation of doors. Never asked for a guarantee, but I just wanted someone who had a more experienced and expert installation history. He then got upset when I indicated I wouldn't be using his services because he sounded like he didn't know what was going on for the project and I preferred not to pay $80 since all other handymen come to do an assessment for free so they can accurately set expectations for themselves and the customer and there isn't disappointment on either side. He literally started raising his voice on the phone because I was trying to ask his professional opinion and gather more info on what he thought was going on. Maybe he was having an off day because he seemed to get frustrated with what I thought were common questions. It seemed like he just wanted to get me off the phone and do the $80 in-person assessment. So the "phone consultation" part doesn't seem like a real thing. Again, I told him "no problem that's your policy and I appreciate your time" but I will go in a different direction Unprofessional and also seemed to have limited skills for certain simple jobs and really is focused on TV mounting or other things (I mean the phone number ID says Pro TV install"). Again, that's totally ok, but don't get upset when a customer would prefer a different option. And be careful! He then tried repeatedly harass and called me several times after now from a hidden number! He had to be reported to Yelp! It seems like this guy generally has good reviews, but this seemed very unusual and concerning. Just take a look at all the other 1-star reviews. They all talk about the SAME exact issues: calling at inappropriate times, rude/unprofessional, harassing calls, incorrect skills listed, (even being asleep, ha!), etc. There is a clear negative pattern here, but other people seemed to find benefit so up to you based your exact situation. read more

My husband and I have been needing to find a handyman to fix the bottom hinge of our primary bathroom door for many months now. Finally looked into some in our area of the valley and came across Professional Handyman. Reached out and initially spoke with Avi, sent reference pictures of the primary bathroom door hinge issue, then got a call from Dave and spoke in detail right away. Ended up scheduling a an appointment for that same day (early evening) once we were home from work and Dave fixed this. Now our primary bathroom door FINALLY closes properly and we are happy with it. Paid cash since we were first-time customers and it was a very reasonable price considering how prompt and effective the service was. Definitely reaching out to Professional Handyman in the future! read more

I hired Professional Handyman to realign three of my interior doors so that they latch, and not get stuck to the ground when opening/closing. These guys met the requirements and now I am happy living in my home with doors that don't push open when my cat touches, or even when the AC runs! Thank you for the excellent service! read more

I was very pleased with the responsiveness of Mike and Avi at Professional Handyman. I had inadvertently cut through a wire on my landscape lighting and needed someone to splice the severed wires. I highly recommend Professional Handyman. I hired Dave at the last minute for an over range microwave installation. Home Depot delivered it, but the guy wouldn't install because it looked like the old one would be hard to remove and require drilling through the wall tiles for the new bracket. Dave was able to remove the old one and do a few adjustments to the old bracket and avoid mounting on the tiles. He did a very good job and the charges were reasonable. read more

David and Avi replaced the closet doors and blinds in my master bedroom and did an awesome job. They even put up with scheduling conflicts that were 100% my fault and still got the job done in a timely manner. I highly recommend them, they're top notch! read more

I was having trouble finding a reliable handyman and came across Michael/Avi's listing and reviews. Even though I was a bit outside their normal service area they came over to do some assembly work on a bookcase and re-wire/lower an antique hanging lamp for me. Theses guys couldn't be nicer or more professional. We settled on a price up front and they just proceeded to knock out the tasks. Don't hesitate reaching out to them..they're a little busy, but worth the wait if for some reason they can't come immediately. read more

This Review is over due: Dave and Avi were great. They answered all of our questions and made sure we knew what they were doing. They were putting the TV mount on an outside wall and made sure we understood that it could be difficult to find studs through the stucco. They even asked if we had the exterior paint incase we had to fill a pilot hole later and paint over it. It was a challenge to find the studs but they spent the time to make sure everything was done right and when finished everything looked great. read more

Dave came highly recommended and did not disappoint. He and Avi came over quickly, the day I called, to help me with a few issues around the house that needed immediate attention... He was very communicative about how he did business, what needed to be done and how much it would cost. His work.....was thorough. He's on speed dial... read more

Here's what Michael and Avi helped me out with: * Installing a new dryer vent exhaust hood * Installing new water shutoff valves for my washer * Fixing a few holes in the drywall, along with a larger crack in the corner of my bedroom * Regrouting some of the tiles on my kitchen floor * Resetting the seal between my wood floor and brick fireplace, along with installing a new wooden cover Everything was thoroughly handled, and the quality of the work shows. We had a list of various projects around the house that we weren't skilled enough to do ourselves and when we attempted to hang some shelving in drywall (and failed) we knew it was time. We are SO glad we called Professional Handyman. He was professional, honest, kind, and funny and we felt comfortable with him immediately. He really took the time to make sure everything was done well and properly and it showed in the work. He hung five shelves, patched a while in our ceiling from a leak (and left us with clear instructions on sanding and painting which we are going to do ourselves), and fixed our trash drawer which was bent. read more

I'm so extremely happy with the work Dave and his crew did. I'm a nurse ... in surgery they say measure twice, cut once. Dave measured 10 times and then cut The work was gorgeous and their prices are spot on. They estimate their projects with one flat fee instead of by the hour. The project took five hours and the price estimate was less than what the hourly places would have cost me. It pays to do the shopping before you book someone for a project. They have done more work for me since the first project. They continue to be exactly the service I would call again and again. read more
