Incompetent and careless. They did work repairing our kitchen a few years ago after mold. What they said would be a 2 week job turned into probably 5 months. Writing this now because I just saw an outlet underneath the sink that's not at all mounted to the wall and was reminded of how ridiculous this whole ordeal was. They'd come maybe 2 times a week, maybe less, sit in the driveway and wait for each other for a while, and they'd always forget what they were supposed to do. Then they'd say "ah ya we remember now, gotta go to Home Depot" and take another 1-2 hours. The pace of work was incredibly slow. When they were redoing our kitchen, we came home and saw that the main handyman had bought cabinets for the sink that opened straight into the fridge and stove, so you could barely open them. It was on a corner, so clearly a corner / lazy Susan cabinet was needed. Delayed the job by however many days. They cracked the sink they put in, and there's carvings in the countertops from where they messed up with sloppy cutting. When they installed the AC window units, they stained the window panes, sink, and the outside of the house with the insulation foam and didn't attempt to clean it until I asked. They didn't get much up; still stained. They didn't put calking around the countertop they put in behind the sink. There were a bunch of other times where similar things happened that I had to ask them to redo it or do a part of the job they'd missed. read more

At first they sounded very professional. It was overpriced but I decided to hire them. Big mistake. They fixed most of the problem but they didn't fix it completely. They kept saying they ordered the parts and it'll come "this weekend" but they stopped contacting me after a while. Hands down the best repair services/handyman work in town!! My Repair Request: I had a crooked front door that was sagging. The frame around the door was also misaligned and uneven. And I had a draft/gaps of air. The Service: LA Teams responded very quickly and I was able to schedule a free consultation which lasted about 10-15 mins. On the day of the repair, two guys came and reviewed the door situation and planned out what they were going to do. These guys were great - Juan and Tony were very thorough, easy to communicate with, and detailed in their work. I can tell they want to ensure really good service and so I recommend these guys! They cleaned up the debris left behind and even helped us with some work on our door (to make sure it closed properly with the new weatherstripping installed). Slight con was that they went all the way to Home Depot to get additional supplies - but they could have saved a lot of time by going to Ace Hardware which was much closer, which could have saved some money. Not gonna dock any stars on this because regardless they did a stellar job! The Quote vs the Final Cost: My initial quote was for 3 hours of work and didn't involve an estimate for potentially having to get additional materials. The final cost came out to be more than 2.2x the initial quote (and 2x more hrs) which was disappointing because my expectations were set on a price relatively close to the original estimate. I don't know how well they do in terms of pricing out other jobs but this one was so much more than I anticipated. This is why I am docking 1 star off. Overall, had a good experience! I may book them again if they can provide more accurate estimates that maybe include a buffer for added time spent on the job. Know that you may have to double your budget if you book with them but also know you'll get fantastic people to work with and a solid repair job. EDIT: They reached out to me to make things right about the discrepancy on the initial quote vs what I paid. I was very surprised that they went above and beyond for me. I can tell they want to do high quality work and keep their customers happy. I will be coming back to LA teams for more repair work. Highly highly recommend doing business with them!! read more

My husband and I tried to put up couple of shelves in the kitchen, but because the shelves were solid wood & real heavy, the instruction said it needs to be drilled into the studs. Well, the studs weren't exactly where I need the shelves to be so we didn't know what to do, nor do we have a handyman to call. The first team was Ryder and Jerome who assembled furniture, hanged paintings, installed baby gates, baby proof my furniture, and hanged overhead string lights in my courtyard. I hired LA Teams to come redo some cracked caulk around my kitchen sink and shower. The team that was sent was polite, friendly, and very professional. All I needed moved was a 55" TV and 60" TV stand down the street, and I couldn't find any moving company that could do that either because they only moved large apartments/homes, or they had a several hour minimum. LA Teams was the only one I could find with a one hour minimum and willing to move two items. The two movers were extremely professional and friendly, they wrapped everything up well in blankets and whatnot to make sure it would be safely transported in their truck. I highly commend LaTeams for the repair work they just completed on my condo unit! Florentino came by for an estimate in only 2 days and stated that their team was available to complete the projects the following week. Florentino made sure that everything came together quickly for all three jobs and he did a lot of work securing a replacement part that was difficult to locate. These guys are awesome - Grant and his crew, were professional, communicative and most importantly they knew what they were doing. (A little late - but that is because they are in such high demand.) I needed a large (heavy wooden) bed put back together that had been in storage for a long time, there were no instructions just pieces - the guys figured it out and completed the project wonderfully. I was impressed. I also noticed they place protective bubble wrap under pieces so there would be no damage. Next I needed a lot of art hung and high up, a tedious job which Grant completed to an extremely high standard and he took his time to be precise but did not waste time! Before anyone cries "foul" on the exposed white antenna cable, please know that *I* requested it to be set up that way to get an optimal signal!
