I hired these guys to fix some issues in my bathroom with crumbling tile grout, a loose toilet paper holder, drywall water damage around the shower, and a faulty motion light switch. All of these were resolved in one visit and came out better than expected. Stan was great. He texted ahead of time, showed up on-time, with a professional van, didn't have any issues having to get some materials from the local hardware store, and worked continuously to resolve all these issues in one visit. He was very professional in that he taped off and covered areas to protect them while working and vacuumed up when he was done. Like I said, everything was resolved, and came out better than expected. The only thing to keep in mind is that you need to pay cash or Zelle. I asked if e-payment like Venmo, Apple Pay, or credit card was an option, but ended up having to pay cash, and didn't get a receipt. Not a huge surprise or big deal but something to keep in mind. The 3 vinyl tiles in front of a bathroom shower were lifting due to the plywood subfloor being wet from a plumbing leak. These tiles are 16x16 Armstrong Luxury vinyl tiles in a discontinued pattern. No ceramic tile specialist would do this job. When I found Stan who has experience with vinyl flooring and replacing subfloors, I was so lucky. I have a relatively few tiles as replacements and could not afford mistakes. Also the grout used with vinyl tiles is substantially different than with ceramic (I learned). Stan did a great job with this difficult project replacing both water soaked sub floor and placing the new tiles using acrylic grout. Stan also fixed an interior that would not close. I purchased a 12 x 16 metal and aluminum permanent gazebo, and needed a crew to build it for me atop my concrete patio slab. I inquired through yelp and receive several responses, but most were not available to do this type of job. But Stan contacted me, asked for the job type description and any available pictures of the gazebo. This took place on Wednesday, and he came back with a quote within 30 min. His quote was inline with the going service fee for assembly of this type of structure. And even better he was available for next day installation. I opted to schedule my service with Stan for Friday 4/15/22 instead. Stan said he would be at my house at 10am and not to worry about man power or tools. Stan and his partner showed up at 9:40 am ready to work. This structure was shipped in 6 large and heavy boxes, and weighed over 400lbs total. Stan and team moved the boxes from my garage to my backyard. I was nervous about the install because 90% of the product reviews state that it was not a user friendly manual with more pictures than written directions. I talked through my concerns for door clearance , and how I wanted it positioned so as not to block the windows. I left the crew to work , and followed up through the course of the day on their progress. This was definitely a labor intensive assembly with so many parts and what looked like hundreds of bolts and screws. 11.5 hrs later, with several bottles of water and a couple of cups of coffee the structure was finished. Stan and team took their time to ensure the assembly was by the manual to the last screw, which meant some do overs. But they committed to finishing the assembly that night and to my approval. Very professional, friendly and communicative during the course of the build. I felt so bad because the sun had already gone down and they on had one flood light to illuminate the area, so I pitched in to hold flashlights , netting, curtains to help finish up the job. Once everything was in place then came the moving of the structure to the exact spot that I wanted it, and had discussed that morning. Two guys moved this huge and heavy structure by themselves into place , and made sure I had clearance to open my back door. I am nothing but extremely happy with Stan and team!!! I'm glad I decided to go with Stan, and just as grateful my shipment delivered with no missing boxes or pieces,,and no damage whatsoever. I got lucky all the way around. Ms just before leaving, they offered to wipe the structure down because of all the fingerprints from the assembly, as well as gathered up all the remaking pieces for anchoring and replacements and explained what they were for. Lastly the cleaned up the area and all the cardboard-and packaging. Great job!! read more
