Communication and quote started out great with Dane but the workmanship was lazy and as you can see in the photo did not last at all. I am assuming they only put 2 coats of finish on and didn't prep correctly since all of the finish has already released after only 4 short months. When his team was "complete" I could tell they did not do the job I expected. I asked them to come back out and place one more coat on....which they did but didn't make much difference. I have since refinished myself after spending over $2k for their crappy work. It looks great now.....after a real complete strip and 4 coats of the finish I originally asked for. My advice is do it yourself or go elsewhere.

When I asked the painter to return and clean up what his crew had left behind, he refused, blamed the problem on the condo being dirty before they arrived, and handed me a razor blade so I could scrape it off myself and quickly left--not even an apology. The crew initially had my permission to use the air conditioner. However, once my HOA notified me that it was leaking into my downstairs neighbor's unit, she asked the crew to turn it off. They reportedly refused to listen to her and would not help her contact me, potentially allowing further water damage to occur. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of cleanup and accountability afterward was unacceptable. I was left with the distinct impression that because my condo was only 830 square feet--and therefore not one of their larger, more profitable jobs--my concerns were not worth their time once they had been paid. After spending $5,300, I should not have been left hiring another professional to clean up their paint or scraping my own floors and countertops with a razor blade. I would not hire this company again.

Not only did they do a terrific job…read morewith the painting, but we had some tricky areas where the new flooring exposed gaps and issues with the current woodwork. They were able to tackle all of this without issue. Their team arrived on time like clockwork, consistently followed up to ask if everything was OK, and went over everything. We could not have been happier with the end results. The biggest transformation was our bonus room, where they created a new, darker stain for the bookcase and ceiling beams, and then painted the wood-paneled walls. We were looking for a painter to paint the inside and outside of our house. While all the painters were similar in what they provided, Peter was lower in cost, and was much more personable when he visited. My wife instantly said she liked him and felt he would be trustworthy. She was 100% correct! Not only did Peter provide exactly what he had promised, he also assisted us with more work than expected when we removed a built in desk and needed him to patch the holes, add baseboard and paint another full wall. He charged a small amount for the extra work but got it done quickly and effeciently. He was able to paint our entire 2 story home, including 3 bedrooms and a bonus room in 2.5 days. The previous painter took over a week and charged over 2x more than Peter. Lastly, and most importantly...Peter was here working with his employees EVERY day. This was not your typical, sign with the owner who sales the job, he comes to pick up deposite and final payment and his team does all the work. NO...Peter was here, masking things off, painting, cleaning and anything else that needed to be completed. We also did not like the color we chose of one room and I told Peter the next morning..He charged me for some more paint and they repainted the entire room that day and still finished a day earlier than they quoted...when we paint the outside of the house, there will be no more quotes or visits..we will just call Peter! If you need a painter...stop looking...Just call Peter at Gold Painting!!
