The company I work for has been a customer of Post Alarm for maybe a decade. Earlier this year we received a notice that one of our devices will need updating and I contacted them right away. 7+ months later and nothing has been done, no one returns our phone calls, no one calls to schedule. I keep calling them and filling out the contact form on their website only for nothing to be done. I have asked for 7 months for them to assign a new Rep. for our account after the old one left and still no Rep. I have called to file complaints and I don't think they even do that they keep putting someone on the phone who claims they are a manager but nothing gets done, just talk. The alarm console in my hallway repeatedly beeped every few hours for weeks, and despite calling multiple times, no one could tell me what was causing it. Each time, I was essentially told that nothing was wrong, even though the beeping clearly continued. At one point, I became so frustrated that I called simply to ask how to turn off the beeping. I have two young children in the house, and the noise was disruptive, especially when it would happen during the night. I was told there would be a charge just to show me how to turn off the beeping -- despite the fact that no one could explain why it was happening in the first place. The representative then told me someone would call me back within five minutes to walk me through how to shut it off. No one ever called. The lack of communication and customer service was incredibly frustrating. If your system is going to repeatedly beep for weeks, I expect the company to be able to identify the problem and provide a reasonable solution -- not tell me nothing is wrong and then charge me to stop the noise. read more

We had trouble with our cameras being offline, they came out to get them back online but cameras were then not recording so I spoke to Cruz (in IT) who was able to work on it from his office and got the cameras recording again. Cruz is the best and I would highly recommend! If you have trouble, ask for Tech Support to see if they can take over your system at their end so they don't have to come out and charge for a house call. read more

Post Alarm is very good at a few things: billing, raising their rates, and selling customers additional products and services. Unfortunately, in my experience, they are considerably less effective at the thing that actually matters--properly handling an alarm activation. I have been a Post Alarm customer for many years, and I have repeatedly provided clear instructions about what should happen when an alarm is triggered. Yet when an actual activation occurs, those instructions do not seem to be followed in any consistent or logical way. They are also remarkably persistent about calling repeatedly in the middle of the night--even when they have specifically been instructed not to do so--sometimes apparently for no reason other than to "clear" something from their system. Getting call after call after call in the middle of the night without an actual emergency is not security; it is enormously disruptive. What has been most frustrating is the lack of accountability when these problems occur. There seems to be plenty of infrastructure devoted to billing, rate increases, and selling new services, but far less attention paid to making sure the monitoring service itself operates according to the customer's instructions. After many years as a customer, I find this extremely disappointing. A security company should inspire confidence when an alarm goes off. Instead, my experiences with actual alarm activations have too often been confusing, frustrating, and inconsistent with the instructions I have clearly provided. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - We hired Post Alarm in Arcadia, Calfironia to install an alarm system which they did and to conduct daily perimeter walks of our property. As part of the daily perimeter checks, we specifically requested that newspapers be picked up and placed at the front door. Glenn sold us the system, and we later dealt directly with Rob regarding ongoing concerns. The last time we raised this issue, Rob gave us his word that it would be resolved. It has not been resolved. We visited the property today and found clear evidence that the agreed-upon services are not being performed. The pictures speak for themselves. This is apparently how this company treats clients when they believe there is little to no oversight. This is a complete breach of trust. We are being billed for services that are simply not being provided. There is no excuse for charging customers while failing to fulfill basic contractual obligations. Extremely disappointing and entirely unacceptable. No one from Post Alarm has returned my call. read more

I hired POST to modify our home's alarm and camera system to be wired only, and thus completely immune to RF jamming (a growing problem in Los Angeles). We recently changed our alarm service from ADT which we have had for over 11 years to Post Alarm and we couldn't be happier with the change. Although one hopes to never use their services, today we had a scare when my wife saw and heard someone directly outside of our home on the hillside where there is no access. I was not home and she was alone. Terrified, she ran inside the house and debated calling the police versus Post Patrol. Based on recent history of delays in police response, she made the call to post and within minutes three armed post officers, including Lieutenant Robert Kalestian came to the property. They checked the entire hillside, cleared the threat and re-assured my wife. This was such a pleasant response to know we are under such amazing patrol and quick response time. As a point of reference, we had a robbery next door a while back and they were also monitored by ADT. Their alarm system went off and all ADT did was alert the police, with the response time taking over 40 minutes for police to arrive. More than enough time for the house to be burglarized and escape.
