Horrible company, do not do business with these people. Completely ruined my floors and left my…read moreproperty with damage! I have contacted them about the warranty and company failed to respond even after a certified letter. We have video and photo evidence that shows complete damage to our property, even after they attempted to resolve an issue. The Flooring Company sent out a cleaning crew and painter to attempt to resolve some issue, which ultimately failed. There are numerous soft spots throughout the floors, confirmed by numerous contractors after installation. We aren't asking for perfection but a professional job after spending over $25,000 for flooring. Your business practices we have experienced has been deceptive and unprofessional. UPDATE: Owner sent me an email asking to remove my bad review or he will pursue legal action. Watch out! Deceitful! The photos reflect the condition of which The Flooring Company LLC left my property in after they completed the job. I had to complain and push to get a cleaning crew which was ineffective (I had to spend $400 to get a cleaning crew to come out after The Flooring Company LLC's cleaning crew "cleaned" the property). Additionally, The Flooring Company LLC hired a painter to patch the damage to my walls, which did a poor job. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional company. I'm looking forward to The Flooring Company LLC to post the final images and videos of their flooring at my property--which would be downright embarrassing for their company. See you in court very soon!

We needed someone who was knowledgeable (since this was our first house and we knew pretty much nothing about flooring.) They miraculously got us in within a few days (due to a cancellation) and walked us through everything they would need to do and the timeline. Paul was excellent and guided us on flooring stains that would fit well with the house. They got right to work. My husband and I didn't stay in the house during the renovation, but we came by everyday to view the progress. Someone was always there to answer our questions, and they seriously went above and beyond to get everything done quickly so we could move in. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who asks. Thank you G&K, you guys rock!

There was a heavy layer of dust throughout the attached bedroom. Personal items--including jewelry, books, the TV, and bedding, etc. --were all covered. No protective coverings were placed on the stairs to the third floor bathroom, and both the contractor and his crew consistently walked through our home with their boots on. We now need to hire a professional company to clean the vents. We also encountered several unexpected additional charges throughout the project. While the workmanship itself was acceptable (a B), the lack of cleanliness and care for our home was extremely concerning (a D-). At the completion of the job the contractor also left two buckets of watery grout in our garage for us to dispose of. This reflects our experience and is offered to help others make an informed decision."*

My biggest fear was if mold was behind the tile - he was confident it wasn't. But of course I asked if it was and he did give me a price like I asked so I would be prepared. The work took 2 days due to drying time and he was able to work with my weird schedule as well. Definitely will use company in the future. Side note - the owner came each day to review the workers progress and the work; provided all the update information. Happy home improvement!!!

Absolutely nightmare of an experience dealing with Allen at Square and Compass. DO NOT HIRE…read more Allen was drinking alcohol during our hardwood floor finishing project the entire time. He had empty Bud Light and tequila bottles strewn over the home. He also proceeded to show up drunk at 9:30pm one night of the project saying he was going to work and sleep at our home. He refused to leave and it took over 2 hours to get him off our property. Additionally, he accepted the contract after saying he would do the work by himself and with his mentor John. He then showed up late with a crew that he said he hired through advertisements, but had never met before. He shortly after fired them as they were not doing a good job. Allen also asked for extra money beyond what he quoted us to buy supplies. These were never delivered or purchased and he never repaid this money. We ultimately fired him when the stains came out markedly uneven, blotchy, and showed all the poor sanding he had done with deep marks in the wood. He also splashed stain over our walls/trim that now need to be re painted. He again refused to leave the house and I had to physically remove his equipment myself. He did leave all of his dirty rags and trash in the house for me to clean up after him. He took his case of Bud Light out of the fridge though. Horrific experience. Now of course need to hire someone else to get the project done.

When my wife went into the hospital and we bought some new furniture I decided that would be a perfect time to get the carpets cleaned. I thought it might be a long shot based on the fact that it was extremely short notice but that was not a problem. When I expressed my needs they made arrangements to be here within 48 hours. They are very cost-effective and the carpets came out perfectly. When I was worried about how long it would take to dry Dean assured me that they would be dry by the morning if I left my fans on all night which I did. Everything was dry following morning after a 5 p.m. carpet cleaning I was able to reset all my furniture on dry carpets. I will disclose that I do know his wife, at least in the sense of her involvement in the community. That aside and having no reflection on this review I will give them a solid five stars and a strong recommendation to anyone needing a carpet cleaning.
