Saltgrass has always been one of my go-to steakhouses, and this visit reminded me why. We started with the Rattlers ($15.99), and they were the perfect appetizer crispy on the outside with a creamy, cheesy filling and just the right kick of heat. Definitely worth ordering if you're sharing the table. Fair warning they are spicy . For my entrée, I went with the T-Bone ($45.99), and it delivered. It was cooked just the way I ordered, tender, flavorful, and had that classic steakhouse char that makes a great cut of beef shine. While it's definitely a splurge, the quality made it feel worth the price. Great food, solid service, and another enjoyable meal at Saltgrass. I'll happily be back. I had the T-bone and my wife had the chicken fried steak. Portions were fine and not ginormous. I grew up in a house that liked well-done steak so I was not too bothered when my medium-well order came back perfectly well-done in some places and perfectly medium-well in others. It was very good. No sauce needed. The bread was mid and the fries need help, but I was there for the steak and it lived up to expectations, which were high. read more

This place was clean and nicely decorated. The hostess was friendly and very prompt. We ordered a prime rib 16 oz but they brought out a ribeye steak instead. Good thing the steak tasted really good. Also ordered potato soup & salad it was good. We had an appetizer I can't remember the name but it's jalapeño with a shrimp and maybe cream cheese inside they were pricey for 6 like 23 dollars but good. The manager Jackie came to speak to us about the prime rib situation and gave us like 9 dollars off for the mix up. Some menu items are better than others. The strip is great, but the country fried steak is a big disappointment. Most of the experiences have been good. The top sirloin and baked potato are more than sufficient. The sweet potato fries are tasty. This is an above average steakhouse. read more

We dined here on New Year's Eve, and while the restaurant was understandably busy, we were patient and understanding. When our meals arrived, my husband's steak was severely overcooked. He had ordered it medium rare, but it came out well done. Our server didn't check back or ask us to cut into the steaks, so we had to flag them down, which took some time. Once the steak was sent back, the rest of us began eating, assuming a replacement would arrive shortly. Instead, the check was brought to the table and we were asked if we needed boxes--before my husband's replacement steak had even arrived. He responded, "Sure, I'll need a box for the steak that hasn't come yet." A manager told us the steak would be removed from the bill, but we were still charged for it. The entire bill was then refunded and recharged, and we were told we'd have to wait 3-5 days for the refund to process. This is a steakhouse, and at a minimum, getting the steak cooked correctly should be a given. read more

We had a birthday party for my daughter and mother-in-law today. Piper and the rest of the staff were very accommodating for our large group. The food and beverages were served in a timely manner. We've been eating at Saltgrass for years. Food has always been good. Unfortunately the service has gone down the last few years. Last weekend we ate there and service was very slow. Our appetizer did not come until after our meal came so we sent it back and had them take it off. The server was apologetic for the wait and the food did taste good but they also brought me the wrong side at first. Due to how slow they were we skipped dessert. We used to LOVE this place. We don't eat out often but when we wanted a good ribeye for a good price we would come here. We went about a week ago for the first time in a few months. We all ordered our usual ribeyes... this time, they were less than half an inch. Historically they were about an inch thick! It looked as though they had cut each ribeye to make them look longer but were much much thinner. What a nice little family spot - friendly and reasonably priced. Our server, Bridgett was kind and attentive. Bread is available on demand. It's a softer crusted little loaf, served warmed with honey butter. Shareable for two. We ordered off the lunch menu. I tried medium-rare, Wagon Boss center-cut top sirloin with delicious flash fried green beans and a side salad. The sirloin was pretty tough so i worked to cut it into small pieces. Love this place!! I've never had a bad meal here. Quality steak everytime. The bread is yummy. The wedge salad is chefs kiss. Even the iced tea is good. The service is consistently great. I've never had to wait but it's always busy. It's clean and at a volume level you can hear each other. And thankfully no peanuts on the floor. Get the fillet and grilled shrimp.
