Wow! What a night. I had the pleasure of having my dear friends rehearsal dinner here. The food was excellent. Our appetizers were the bruschetta and arancini. The bruschetta was truly the best I'd ever had. The arancini was delightful too. We were given the choice of a few entree options. My friends raved of the Chicken Piccata and Tagliata Di Manzo (perfectly cooked to everyone's preferences). I personally had the Ravioli Di Fiori, and I finished every bite! Our next option was dessert: cheesecake or tiramisu. I personally had the tiramisu, but my pasta around me all had cheesecake. It was delicious! Drinks were a mixed bag with what everyone ordered. I order the rose reverie and blueberry faux-jito. Neighbors faves of the pear mule and other beverages. Service was wonderful. Everyone who served out party was incredibly attentive and we were never without service for long. Our bride provided flowers and candles which made the vibes wonderful, moody, and romantic. It was the perfect atmosphere for a rehearsal dinner. Bathrooms were clean, staff directed us toward them, and everyone was so kind. If I lived in the area, I'd absolutely be back. This was good, nice and fresh. The Rustica pasta took a while to come out but it did come nice and hot. And overall I like it. It has a lot of flavor. Small criticism would be the chicken was slightly overcooked and it was a bit greasy since the cheese oil had separated. But pretty good, good portal size. But a little expensive in my opinion. The tiramisu, was a food size. Came in a stemless wine glass. It was light and airy and not too sweet. Would recommend. Overalll restaurant feels did give high end, date night worthy. Server was knowledge and professional. Just felt like she could have checked on me more often even just to refill water. Overall a solid 4/5. read more

Came here for the first time on new year's eve and had great service! We got the calamari for our appetizer and it was probably the best calamari I've had in Oklahoma. The pasta was really fresh and delicious! The meatballs were great. I had an amaretto sour which was good, but wish it was a tad more sour. For dessert we had the creme brûlée cheesecake, which was good, but wasn't sour cream based if that's what you're looking for. Overall, the restaurant was really cute and food was great. We took our grandsons to dinner at Benvenuti's in Norman and experienced a lovely dinner. When I think of Italian cuisine, I normally don't think of Norman, OK, but Benvenuti's has created a paradigm shift in my thinking. Benvenuti's is definitely some of the best Italian food that you will find in the OKC metroplex. The decor speaks of eloquence. It is rich, charming and comfortable. Complimentary bread, warm butter and olive oil are served. The bread looked like a cibatta roll, but the texture is different than what I'm used to, but it's very good. We started with fried calamari and farnarnia. The calamari was very ordinary. Totally uninspired and bland. We also ordered Farnarnia. Oh my, the farnarnia was to die for. We should have ordered two farnarnia's and skipped the calamari. I ordered lasagna, and was very pleased. The best lasagna I've ever ate. It was hearty, rich, tasteful, just delectable. Loved it being served in a bowl, sitting in sauce. My wife ordered chicken picatta and it was excellent. However, it was served with mashed potatoes which came as a surprise. Must not have read the menu close enough. The service was good, the prices are on the high end of Moderate. My Lasagna was $20 and the chicken picatta was $24. The appetizers were $12 each. The noise levels were acceptable, and the restrauant was busy. We're looking forward to going back. . read more

This restaurant exceeds my expectations every time I visit! My roommate, mom, and I have a tradition of eating here one a year before classes start and I feel like the food and experience gets better every time. We always get the cacio e pepe risotto balls because they are heavenly. We also got Caesar salads before our main meal and even the croutons are homemade. I love that there is so much attention to detail in the restaurant from the food to the atmosphere. The restaurant feels quaint and cozy with the dim lights. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and was even able to withstand my mom's endless questions about the drink menu. If you go, you have to get the crème brûlée. I called to see if they we needed a reservation and the person told me no. We went in and asked if they could accommodate a group of 8. It was early. I expected to wait but they were so horrible about the interaction. The hostess talked to a a manager who wouldn't even look at us. He shook his head and walked off. There was zero help, zero desire to help, and it was obvious they were not going to I asked when we could get in and she said two hours was the soonest. FYI there were tables open and large tables that were almost done eating. We left. I wouldn't ever eat there or recommend to anyone. Very mixed feelings on this place. We had reservations and arrived and were immediately seated. Our waiter took our appetizer order fast but he took forever to take our food order. The Calamari was average. The Bruschetta was very good. My girls had eaten there before with their grandma. They all love the Chicken Marsala and all of them got it. It looks very good and comes with mashed potatoes that they love. Wife got the Ravioli and there are 5 or 6 and that's it. No sides. I got the Mushroom Rigatoni. Also no sides but it 's a large portion compared to the Ravioli. We both thought they were good tasting entrees but for the price for them to not come with anything is hard for me to swallow. Yes, the menu tells you the salads and sides are extra but all in all I don't think the food is THAT good to justify extra for the sides. I think a place like Oliveto is just as good food and priced better. Creme Brûlée was good but the Flourless Chocolate Cake did not impress my Mother-In-Law. They did know it was my girls' Bday dinner and since one got dessert but the other didn't want anything they still brought her a little something and had candles on both for them so that was very nice. The manager came by twice & promised that we would get service, but no one ever came to take our order. We've been here several times and nothing like this has ever happened. This USED to be my favorite restaurant in Norman! I ordered a bottle of wine for our anniversary dinner, ordered by number to alleviate any confusion. This was because the last time we came in the same thing happened. They brought out a different wine but still the same winemaker, so I didn't notice... until we got the bill, of course what they brought was higher priced! The server agreed that we had ordered by number and were not served that wine, but the manager just acted like it was our fault for not verifying. That's it, no apology, or offer to reduce price or any concern on his part! The difference was only $16, but this seems to be their new Bait and Switch tactic!! If the wines are listed by number it shouldn't be hard to get it right. So sad because everything else they do is perfect. read more

Came here for a Friday date night and the vibes were everything! The decor was very pretty and loved how dark and moody the interior was. Started off with some drinks which were delicious and complimentary bread. My bf had the veal parm which was so good and I got the campanelle pasta with gluten free pasta. The sauce was very creamy and sooo good. I did take home my leftovers and the sauce separated with a ton of oil, so it's pretty oily but none the less delicious. This place was so delicious. It's definitely one of the most upscale places in Norman. Our waitresses, Maryanne and Emily, were the most hospitable and kind people who have ever waited on me. Their wine list is excellent, and their pasta with mushrooms was so good. They are pretty big portions though, so be prepared for leftovers! read more

The food was amazing! The service was very friendly and fast. We made an online reservation for 7:15. When we walked in and mentioned the reservation we were seated within a couple minutes. Water was filled, bread was served, and beverage menu was offered. The mule was good and my husband really liked the peroni beer. It does accommodate all kinds of people. Some were dressed up pretty fancy, some were in pants, hoodies, ball caps. There were families and couples on date nights. It looks fancy but I think it's pretty open and just a nice place to eat. If your going to spend near $150 for 2 people , you might as well go somewhere like Mahogany. You will get better service and better food for the same money . Benvenuti's used to be good . Not sure what changed but wait staff is terrible and the kitchen is very spotty. Seating makes no sense and they group people together when half full to make it easier on them . We dined here last Thursday, December 18, we had just drove from Dallas. We had a reservation at 7:45 and arrived at 7:45, finally around 8:05 they seated us, not because they were so busy, they really weren't, everyone just seemed way unorganized. Everything went downhill from there, took forever to get waited on, get drinks, we were being patient, the waitress was really sweet. Finally 45 minutes after we ordered our dinner we asked the waitress about our food, she came back and said it would be 15-20 more minutes, at that point we asked to speak to a manager. We were getting very annoyed not to mention starving but only after the completely worthless manager spoke to us is when we really became disappointed. He said "sorry we realize we are behind tonight" literally that was it, he definitely had zero care in the world that it took OVER an hour for our food to arrive (party of 4), you could tell more like he acted annoyed with us for asking how much longer. I worked in restaurants in Norman for many years when i lived there (however Hal Smith owned restaurants) and i was appalled at the managers response and lack of interest at all especially when you are spending that kind of money at an upscale restaurant. When we got our food it was almost 9:30 pm so quality of the food was meh simply bc we were all beyond starving and mad at what was supposed to be a nice meal for my husbands birthday turned into everyone cranky and in a bad mood. I also want to add we have dined here several times and its always been great, i do believe they must be having some management problems based on other reviews. read more

This restaurant was excellent! A friend took me there on her company credit card so we kind of splashed out a bit. We had multiple entrees, appetizers, and desserts. Everything was wonderful. Nothing disappointed. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and my Brown butter ravioli was fantastic. The goat cheese with it was to die for. I wish that they would build one of these in Tulsa so that I could go more often. But next time I'm anywhere near it I will definitely want to go there for dinner again. read more

Went to this restaurant tonight after hearing this was a great place to eat. Well....eh, it was okay. Chicken Marsala was not very flavorful (pictured). I also posted the arancini picture, because it was probably the best bite of the night. Had a bite of my wife's spaghetti and meatballs. It was just okay. Antipasta was pretty good. Beware!! There is a reason why they don't post the prices on some of the mixed drinks. To preface my experience, I don't hardly ever drink. I decided, "what the heck, I'll order one tonight." $18 for an old fashioned. It wasn't even near the best I've had. When a drink costs almost as much as an entree, there is something wrong. Service was acceptable, but nothing special. Seating and service area for the waiters/waitresses was a bit cramped. This place was definitely a one and done. Definitely wouldn't go back. Well it wasn't here. It was soft and not chewy! I greatly enjoyed the LOBSTER FAZZOLETTI and my husband was in love with the FILETTO ROSSO at first bite. Our server, the lovely miss Stormy, made great recommendations. We based on her suggestion and our love for banana pudding, we went with the Bruleed Banana Cream Tartlets. Worth it people! Get two! Love this place, it's a real treat. I've never had bad service here. Great place for a date night or bringing people from out of town to showcase the best of Norman. Sometimes I get takeout, which comes in ecofriendly containers and includes a piece of their amazing bread. Pastas and pizzas are really good. My favorites are the benvenuti salad, Ravioli di Fiori, and the banana tartlets. If they ever discontinue the banana tartlets we will riot. read more

Best elegant and amazing atmosphere, then you add the well trained caring servers that are there to take care of your every need, then comes a nice wine selection and then the Garlic Butter Saute Crab Claws as my choice of appetizer along with a traditional real Caesar salad.
