The Press & Plow management has taken things to an all new low. We had a scheduled Mother's Day reservation that they unfortunately were not able to accommodate. No notice, no offer to adjust or wait...just rain that closed a patio. The only offer was 'sorry, come back at 3pm'...and a snarky I don't control the weather. I felt like I was trapped in a Seinfeld episode...we can take your reservation, we just can't keep your reservation. Unfortunately, we won't be back and I recommend sending your staff to customer service training! Any Norman brunch is better! read more

We have always loved Press and Plow, which is why this experience was so disappointing. We made a reservation weeks ago, received confirmation when we booked, and even received another confirmation the morning of our reservation. When we arrived for our 8:15 reservation, we were told they could not seat us. What was most frustrating was not just the mistake itself, but the lack of communication and customer service afterward. No one contacted us ahead of time to let us know there was an issue, and when we asked if they could help by checking availability at their other location, we were told no. There was also very little acknowledgment or effort to make the situation right. Mistakes happen, and we would have understood if someone had reached out beforehand or at least tried to help once we arrived. But driving all the way there only to be turned away with no real solution or apology was incredibly disappointing. read more

I was excited to go here because I had been gifted a gift card to the place and it was supposed to be a little treat to myself after a stressful week. The experience I had here ended up just adding to my stress and i don't see myself returning here. I went around 11 am on a Friday. Maybe it's better during the summer but since school is about to start again the place was packed with students returning to campus. There isn't a lot of parking space here and there wasn't any available spots when I went so I had to park a little bit away and walk to the location. If you do this please be careful that you are not parking on a side of the a street that says no parking because there were people who were getting parking tickets that I noticed when I got there. I think if you are a student you will like this location because the workers here seemed to be college students themselves and knew a lot of the people there and they all seemed pretty happy. When I walked in I was not greeted by anyone. There was a sign there that said to wait to be seated so I did. There were two other groups before me and we were all being ignored by the workers. I understand they were busy but I'm used to at least one person typically approaching to let us know how the long the wait is which didn't happen here. I had to go find someone to come help all of us waiting. It took a little over 45 minutes to be helped, seated, and have my order taken whereas I had only been eating for 12 minutes before I was approached and asked if I was ready for my check. I was taken aback because I still had plenty of food in my plate. I felt ignored and rushed and just didn't feel welcomed here. In addition to that I feel the space feels very cramped and when it's full the noise is deafening so if you eat here I recommend eating at one of the tables outside as I feel that would be a more peaceful experience. In terms of the food, it wasn't bad but it also wasn't mouthwatering to the point that I would risk such an experience like this again by returning. read more

Yesterday evening we stopped in to check out the happy hour and it did not disappoint. We sampled all the offerings and our favorites were the goat cheese encrute and prime beef skewers!! Inconsistent Service and Seating Policies Made for a Frustrating Visit I rarely leave reviews, but the customer service and seating policy at this establishment were so poor that I had to speak up. Inconsistent Seating Policy: We called ahead to inquire about a table, but the staff never offered us the option to make a reservation, despite the restaurant taking them. When we arrived, the only options given for a party of two were undesirable high-tops or the bar. Unnecessary Wait: While we waited 20 minutes for a standard table, two traditional two-person tables and one high-top sat completely empty, marked 'Reserved.' This wasted time, especially when a walk-in party of four was immediately seated at a prime table right as we finished our painful wait. It felt like our business was not valued. Adding to the frustration, the parking was abysmal, forcing us to walk two full blocks. In our experience at the Lindsey location, food, staff and ambiance are top notch. Our favorite sandwiches are The Earth and Cuban, each served with a pile of delicious crispy fries. Let's start with all the good things: the food was amazing, the portions are generous, and their coffee is great. Service was also really good, our waitress was very attentive. Lastly, I love the ambiance and that they have different areas in the restaurant and you can specify which one you want when making reservations. I was really excited to try this place out since I moved to a house walking distance. The overall experience was less than ideal. We were sat fairly quickly, which I do appreciate. Once we ordered our drinks (two shared bottles of mimosas), it took probably 20-25 minutes for them to come to the table. Mind you they had sat on the edge of the bar for 15-20 minutes of that wait. We ordered food before they even came out. The food was good. We all had different items and they all came out hot. I had some over easy eggs though that were definitely "easy" (the whites weren't set/still translucent in spots and the yolk was extremely runny, to the point it covered my whole plate). I didn't ask to have them remade because I was worried it would take too long. I understand it was busy, we were a five-top that's worked in the industry for many, many years and work at a high-volume restaurant right off campus. A two-top behind us sat for minimum 25 minutes before they were even greeted. Once we were done, the waitress asked how we were splitting tickets and she separated them perfectly. What really shocked me was a lady, possibly a shift lead or manager, came over and told us there was a reservation for the table and we needed to tab. When we were sat we were never told there was a reservation or a certain time we needed to leave the table. If she would've looked at our table, she would've seen our tabs with cash on them and one card. We told her we had been trying to tab, so she took the two that needed change and card to be run. One of us asked her for a box while she was there, which she didn't bring. Our waitress came over to pick up our tabs and said "I had five tabs for y'all and I only have three of them", so we told her someone took the other two. She came back with the other tabs, dropped them off, and didn't even say thank you OR bring the box. I stood by the bar to grab a box and three workers walked past me before I obviously looked annoyed and it caught someone's attention. I said thank you to the girl and she also gave me no response. This is prime location for a brunch spot and COULD be one of the best spots in the area. However, the service is lackluster and the vibe seems that, unless you look to have money, you aren't that welcomed. I'll likely only go back for a coffee or muffin to-go because of it's convenience to me. The owners and management really need to work on customer service and how to handle a fast-paced day. If not, this game season will be extremely tough on them. read more

I have been twice through the drive through and the service has been great. I asked multiple questions about the coffee the first time I went since the menu did not include size options, etc. The worker was very polite and answered each question I had. She also gave me a rewards card to earn a free drink. I ordered the Plow latte the first time I went and the Nutty Professor latte the second time I went. However, the espresso in my latte was burnt both times and made the whole latte bitter. I did switch the whole milk for almond milk both times so that may have affected the flavor but the only thing I could taste in both lattes was the burnt espresso. I couldn't even taste the coffee syrups. I am disappointed since the lattes are a bit pricy and I haven't been able to enjoy them but I do think I will visit one more time before giving up on the Press & Plow. read more

My party of 4 had made a reservation at 11am, and arrived a few minutes before then to ensure we got our table. I was then told that there was going to be a short wait because people were taking longer to eat there meals, which I was okay with! However, an 11:15 reservation walked in after us, and they were then seated before us. This was because they were a 3 person reservation, that got bumped up to 4 people (so that's the reason they got sat before us...). Now I know there are times when it gets busy and you can't control the speed people eat their meals, but it certainly isn't fair that a 4 person group with an 11:15am reservation was sat before my 11:00am reservation.
