Just left Press & Plow after waiting an hour for a table and not getting seated. We watched multiple tables open up and stay unseated for 10-15 minutes. We were not aware you could make reservations online and apparently that took priority over customers physically there, waiting for an hour when we were told 20 minutes. Maybe this is normal, but not how I would do business. Also, I asked them before I left if we could take a table that we saw was open for 15 minutes and she said no, someone had reserved it, and asked if we wanted to sit on the patio outside... while it's raining. No thank you. We left and went to Red Rock for brunch and were seated right away. We won't return. read more

I went twice this week, randomly and spur of the moment. the first time the manager was there and the second he wasn't. the service, the staff, the wait and the food were different. I say this not to deter you from eating there but so that the manager or owner can boost moral or something. The wait took forever and nobody was kind or polite, the waiter basically tossed the condiment I asked for on the table and just walked away. In between she wasn't friendly or smiling even, my friend also asked for their eggs scrambled and not runny and they came out very noticeably runny. i just think for the high price that the entire service should have quality. I noticed this with almost all the waiters today and not just her. Sure the situation is nuanced, right, it was likely slammed all day since it's grad season. In this economy, though, i cant justifiably give you a large tip like id like to simply because youre working, if your an ass ur getting a tip that's ass. the food is normally great here I'd recommend. read more

I was really disappointed with my experience at Press and Plow. I put my name on the waitlist and was told it would be about 45 minutes. When I checked back, they said it would be another 20 minutes. After waiting again, I went back in and was told they had already called me, but I never received a call. Instead of helping resolve the issue, I was told it would be another 30 minutes. Good lattes.   I had the Florentine omelet, and it was delicious. Good breakfast potatoes, they were flavorful with a slight crisp to them. My friend and I stayed a bit after we were done eating, and chatted, and the staff wasn't bothered by it so that was good. The service was amazing and truly understanding when our toddler spilled water in the middle of the store. It is an amazing coffee infused brunch menu and fresh grind take home if you prefer. My mother is hooked and has now dub this place her official Texas to Kansas coffee stop. It made that much of an impression on us. Despite having a reservation, they sat someone else at our table, leading to a 40 minute wait after they said it'd be 20. Finally got a seat only to wait another 20 minutes for our food while they ran around trying to fulfill to-go orders while ignoring our reservation. Once the food finally came, it was extremely mediocre, especially for the price, and our coffee was lukewarm after sitting on the counter while they ignored us. At least we got to enjoy an hour in an overly loud, poorly appointed, cheugie, cramped dining space. The local neighbors ring app has blown up about press and plow - but the new location on Lindsey is worth the hype - it has awesome staff. The breakfast sandwiches can be made on gf bread - so good. To dine in on busy game weekends, you can make a reservation. Huevos Rancheros is delicious. The parking is a challenge, be mindful of the neighborhood signs, tow trucks are happy to move you. Wowzer, EXCELLENT find! We were going through town and grabbed a black tea and gluten free lemon muffin. Both were very tasty and the muffin was the M word (rhymes with hoist) which isn't always the norm for gluten free muffins. I didn't have a reaction, WOO! We will definitely be back. But the item that really delivers is the Press & Plow Burger - a double patty on a bun that I can only describe as the most amazing thing I've ever put in my mouth. This is Norman's best hamburger, hands down. And although it comes with rosemary chips, I recommend substituting it with the fresh fruit. It is apparent that this lovely restaurant has been discovered, as at any one time I only saw one or two tables open. I loved the ambience, the staff, and especially the food. My Huevos Rancheros was delicious, and I thought it might need augmenting so I got a biscuit. I was way too full! It was more filling than I had anticipated, but in a good way. My friend got a delicious croissant sandwich with home-fry potatoes, which were the best I've ever had (he gave me a bite). They suggested that he substitute tomato or avocado on his croissant sandwich instead of bacon, since we are vegetarian. The homemade strawberry-basil jam was delicious on the biscuit, which I shared (I couldn't possibly have eaten the whole thing) as was the Earl Grey tea with fresh lemon wedge. Press & Plow isn't far from me, and its unfortunate I've only been a handful of times. This is a great little place in Norman. They offer a good array of typical breakfast options that don't stray too far from the norm. I've had the press & plow breakfast which is a simple staple with strawberry basil jam which is amazing on their toast, croissant sandwich with their applewood bacon and scrambled eggs, and we've had their breakfast burrito which is huge and I love that it comes with chorizo. The tacos to go are nice and quick for the person on the go, too, with sausage and chorizo options if I remember correctly. My favorite part of their meals though- their breakfast potatoes! I'm relatively picky and often feel that breakfast potatoes around the metro aren't very flavorful, and the ones Press & Plow make are my favorite I've found so far. They also have a coffee bar with an ample amount of options. I've had lattes or black coffee here, and their latte menu seems to have grown from when I last doordash'd them. I'd recommend getting a latte here if you're into those. Their service is alright, too. It's not superb, and I've had a couple of not great experiences, but overall it's not bad either! I have been waiting for this restaurant to open for a long time so I was excited when it finally did. It was a beautiful day and they were kind enough to accommodate us when we asked to sit outside. Our waitress Alexis was super sweet and answered all of our questions about the menu. Their coffee was really good. I will say if you're looking for the authentic coffee taste this is not the place because they use a lot of syrups and creamers. The food here exceeded my expectations for sure! The omelette was cooked perfectly, and we liked the tots with rosemary. My Benedict Dutch baby was perfectly high protein and the eggs were poached beautifully. I opted out of the hollandaise. The tiramisu latte tasted just like an almond milk latte (no tiramisu taste).
