I officially can never go back to Norman without a visit to Levity. First of all, I love myself too much. But also, my family would riot. The menu seems small, but the choices are SO WELL DONE that it doesn't really seem to be missing anything. The sandwiches are freaking awesome. Really good sauces, perfectly balanced baked goods, great drinks. We love the scones and potato pancakes as well. We've gone to Levity a handful of times this year, and it's one of our favorite breakfast places in Norman! They have a relatively simple but delicious menu from several sweet to savory options, and their avocado toast is spectacular. I particularly love their coffee bar and the unique specials they often have! I've had lavender blueberry lattes and cardamom rose lattes here in different occasions, so I'm usually on the look out for their new latte specials. Overall we've always had wonderful service when we're here no matter how busy it gets. Levity is specifically my go-to breakfast bar when the weather is nice, too. First time in Friday morning. Delighted to see a variety of freshly baked scones. Shared gingerbread flavor with friends and we all thought the scone was delicious. Two of us chose the 3-cheese & chive scones topped with tasty sausage gravy and scrambled eggs for our entree. The scone halves were quite generous in size and we each took half home for lunch later that day. Another in our group chose the All American which was good and our fourth friend chose the avocado Prost. Initially, she thought she could take half home for lunch, but it was so good she ate the whole thing! I'm sure we will be returning in the near future. Parking can be an issue, and it was quite crowded when we arrived, but fortunately, a table soon emptied, and we were able to be seated fairly quickly. This is a very cute, very small breakfast cafe off of S. Peters/Eufala in Downtown Norman. I've wanted to try it out for quite sometime, but it always looks so packed. Today my Aunt offered to take me out to brunch and I suggested we try Levity. It was a great choice. The food was great, the coffee was great and the staff were absolute rockstars. They checked in with us often and when they were about to close (oops we got to talking and weren't paying any attention) instead of telling us they were about to close they asked us if we wanted to take home any leftover pastries. It was tempting but at Christmas time we both have too many sweets at home. When I got outside, I noticed I had a flat tire and called AAA. One of the kitchen staff came out and offered free coffee to myself and the tow truck driver. Extremely thoughtful. read more

Amazing breakfast place in a cozy former house interior with great service that brings out dishes to you. Got the American breakfast with eggs (overeasy), toast, sausage and a potato pancake, an extra potato pancake and a Belgian waffle. Moreover, got the matcha tea drink and a hot cocoa plus an orange juice and both of their specialty coffee/tea drinks (they have two currently - the blueberry matcha and the MJ latte). Hands down one of the top five restaurants in Norman. A mostly scratch menu with excellent consistency. Besides the best gravy on the planet, this menu only has hits. As a longtime breakfast and sandwich snob, I can't fond a single thing to criticize. The only thing that might catch you off guard is parking and the limited seating. For parking, just check the signage with directions in the front. As far as seating, in the warmer months larger groups of 6+ are easy to gather outside but I personally don't recommend bringing a party larger than 4 if you intend to be seated indoors. You order at a counter and get a number and try to find a table. Doesn't appear to be a limit to how many people they will let get in line so getting a table and then getting the food can be a little bit of a wait. You're expected to clean off your own table. This is a little bit of a pain since you don't get a tray and have more than just paper. Plates, coffee cups, utensils, etc.. and in the hour I was there I didn't see a single employee clean a table. read more

We live in Texas and on our way home from a family visit found this place by chance. We wanted a nice breakfast and that is what we got. Met and chatted with the owners Mark and Jon. They along with all the staff were so welcoming and friendly! Best customer service award goes to them! We usually don't like places that don't have table service and we didn't realize this was an order at the counter place but it turned out it didn't matter. The place is cozy and has a good vibe. Came here on a Saturday and it was a little busy but managed to find a seat. The staff was super friendly and it's a cute cozy spot. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage and egg. The scone it came on was delicious and the jelly was a nice touch of sweetness. My boyfriend ordered the berry waffles and added this lemon sauce which was really good. Love it in house or to go! Levity is now one of my regular spots when I'm looking for a special outing, meal or mid day pick me up. I love it especially for brunch. Today we got the seasonal blackberry matcha iced, a mocha, Stay Classy Norman sandwich and Mr. Burns sandwich. Love the bold flavors from the house made sauces. I REALLY wanted to like it. The shop itself is so cute, quiet, clean and aesthetically pleasing. The patio was also very inviting. The windows, floors, coffee machines, counters, etc were IMMACULATE. That's where the good ends. I wanted to order breakfast for my small staff since we were short-handed. I got their orders and called the number on the website. A woman answered, "Hello?" and I got flustered, thinking I had the wrong number. Before I could ask, she hung up. I checked the number and called two more times. Each time, the phone was picked up but no one said anything, then was immediately disconnected. So I decided to just go and order in person. The staff there was very nice. I asked about the phone and they said they were having issues where they couldn't hear anyone but they think it's fixed now. Even though that was all frustrating, that is not the cause of the low stars. Even though the order was large-ish (5 orders), it came out fairly quickly. I enjoyed waiting in the shop, taking in the ambiance and looking out of the large picture window. Once it was ready, they bagged it, brought it to me and said thank you. Nothing over the top. We had ordered a couple versions of the scones, an english muffin sandwich, the waffle and an avocado toast. Everyone's bread, across the board, was DRY. I had the 411 which is supposed to be enjoyed as a sandwich, but I upgraded to gravy. I took a bite without the gravy and there is no way I would have been able to choke down that sandwich without significant sauce. The toast's crust that the avocado came on was very hard and broke the fork and knife used to cut it. The english muffin was also reported to be very dry. To me, the scones tasted like Jiffy corn muffins with seasonings thrown in. They were sweet, dense and hard. The gravy was also sweet and there was oil separating from it. The potato cakes are so thin and crispy that you can't cut it with plasticware. However, the seasoning was good on it. The waffle was reported to be good; fluffy with crispy edges. The menu for the 411 sandwich said "premium pork sausage patty". I don't mind my patties coming pre-made, but the patty was smooth on the inside, being pressed from manufacturing, and it contained a bit of gristle. I hope we just went on an off day, and wish nothing but the best for this cute little place, but I probably would not go again. read more

This place was a cute little place to go. They seemed to go for a Starbucks Restaurant mix but there was no direction on what to do. There were server like people but they barely checked the tables and you didn't order from a table, you had to go to the front to make your order like you do at Starbucks. Food was most definitely good and I do recommend this place for that aspect. I would have given a 5 but the service was sub par. It's either a restaurant or a "self serve" like Starbucks. My friend and I decided to try this cute, hole in the wall, breakfast/brunch place. Overall the atmosphere is cozy and we went around 10 and it was getting busy. Their menu wasn't too overwhelming, but had enough options to choose from. The food was amazing and the coffee was delicious. I wish they brought your coffee to your table- they call it out but when it's super busy it is hard to hear and if you're a first time customer it would've been nice to know. They have stations where you grab your own utensils, salt and pepper, napkins, etc. if you order a water, they also have a giant dispenser you serve yourself at. I think it would've made it a nicer experience to have that brought to your table since it can get crowded easily in that small of space. As it being a newer small restaurant in Norman we gave it a try. like other reviews you order at the counter get your own silverware salt pepper etc. The place was busy as they cater to the younger crowd that likes the 6 to 7 dollar iced coffee drinks not us. we both ordered 11 to 13 dollar breakfasts they were good but for the price next time we will go to the Diner downtown, Winston etc. where you actually get service for the prices here which are overpriced in the wife's and my opinion read more

At this time Levity is at a 3/5. Here the problem: when it's busy- it's busy, we ordered food, had coffees already in hand and we were waiting for people to get up to get a table. Not having service like refills on drip coffee, no salt and pepper at the table, no explanation when ordering on having to grab your own forks/knives is a bit frustrating for a first time experience. Not having wait staff disconnects me from the whole experience when it cost my husband and I nearly $50 for us to eat brunch this morning. The portions are small, outside of American culture however they could be considered the perfect size. Ordering $12 avocado toast I expected there to be two pieces, just for the sake of the price but there was only one. The food was okay, nothing I couldn't make at my own home (as in there is nothing really that unique). People behind the counter are exceptionally kind, very good at explaining the menu, like what is popular, but I'm just a bit disappointed and most likely won't be back due to the wait for a table while awkwardly standing around (along with other patrons) and the price for the food without there being very much you're getting.
