Just stood in line for 4 minutes- (not a big deal) - but only one person in front of me with some difficulty or some sort. My turn: begins at precisely 11am. So b-fast ended and they won't serve me. I come here all the time, they know me. Still "no soup for you". Truth is: food is good, service is average, location carries them. Any other location and they'd be out of business. Somewhat disappointing. Food was just ok. Ham/cheese quiche mushy with a puréed texture and soggy crust. It was way too salty too. Tomato soup was ok. Chicken strips for baby were nice and tender. I love standing at the pastry counter and drooling as I view all of the tantalizing treats! OMG!!! They are all delicious! The muffin croissants were a sinful delight with either the chocolate or vanilla filling oozing out of the bottom as you try to exercise your good manners in eating the messy treat! Lemon bars are yummy! Pineapple upside down cake is great! I like the portion sizes here. Sandwiches are just right for me. Highly suggest the Black Forest chocolate 8" cake or the lemon and raspberry cake. All are worth it!! Come check out the cafe, get a fresh baked loaf of various breads and a pastry to go. I went to Sunday Brunch and had Eggs Florentine Benedict with home fries. Both were absolutely DELICIOUS! The potato chunks were sautéed with onions and mushrooms to perfection. My friend had a portobello panini with perfectly seasoned French fries. To splurge, we shared a mini coconut cream pie. That was delicious too, except for the odd crust. We went here for a nice Sunday lunch. We ordered a French dip sandwich with a small salad and my wife ordered a chicken salad sandwich. Two very easy orders and we ordered two coffees. We got the coffees pretty quickly. We waited, watching as others received their orders. It was over 30 minutes before we received our simple order. The food was decent but coffee was weak. In all that time, no one ever came to offer us more coffee or an update on our order. I dontnthink we will be going back and I would not recommend La Baguette. read more

Whoever is behind Panera was trying to do what La Baguette has absolutely knocked out of the park. Panera struck out @ T-ball. If you used to enjoy Panera before they ruined the menu, La Baguette will knock your socks off. My only sadness is that it took me this long to try La Baguette for the first time. It is apparently a Norman institution and has been on Main Street for 30 years or so. I will definitely be back. Fair warning! I am still in the hunt for a real bagel in the Oklahoma City metro area and unfortunately this place is not it, BUT do not let that deter you from coming here. They have incredible desserts and pastries, some delicious salads and Mediterranean items and fresh bread. Their coffee is also good. This may be the only place where I've ordered a cappuccino and actually got a cappuccino (the difference between a cappuccino and a latte is a cappuccino is espresso and half foam and a latte is simply hot milk and espresso poured in an artistic way.) Now this place is not known for their bagels but I have been so disappointed in the only actual bagel shop here that people have told me to give them a try. It made sense because Paris, France is one of the best cities to get a bagel because of their huge Jewish population. This place is so quaint I love it!!! Reminds me a lot about the bakeries that I used to have back home - especially with the way they set things up. The service was great too, especially since we came in pretty close to closing time, and they were still very nice! We got the kibbeh, spinach pie, meat pie and the hot chocolate. The kibbeh was so so good!! First time having kibbeh and the spices were just enough. The spinach pie was a new experience, the filling was a little too sour for my taste but overall reminds me of how spanakopita tastes like if it had a softer pie shell, and if tomatoes were thrown into it too.
