Stopped in 4 times over 5 days; tried the latte, cortado, 2 different medium drips, and an Ethiopian pour over. I would get 2 drinks each morning and none of them failed to meet my expectation. I'm snobby with my coffee, but a Starbucks or Dutch bros fan. I prefer local roasters. Yellow dog did not disappoint. The atmosphere inside is very comfortable and welcoming, the staff are friendly and willing to help. If you're on the fence of where to get a coffee, or espresso drink, look not further than Yellow Dog. read more

Super cozy, chill place. Coffee was good. Decent prices. Not a huge selection of pastries. My friend and I did try the veggie burritos and they were great! Will be trying it out again! read more

Such a cute coffee shop. Dog friendly, plenty of space for doing work, games and other activities to do with friends. Local scones from Levity, live music at times. I'm taking off a star because the last two times I've been, my order has been goofed up. Once I had to take back a scone because it wasn't reheated like I asked (twice) and just today I got a matcha latte with sugar granules on the bottom that created an awful texture. Sometimes they're too busy and the cashier seems dismissive. read more

We stopped by after visiting the bookstore next door, and this coffeeshop turned out to be such a gem. It has a calming vibe with plenty of study space, but also feels perfect for just hanging out and chatting. The staff were warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I tried their house latte, which had warm spices that was paired beautifully with oat milk--it was well-balanced, smooth, and not overly sweet (and thankfully not bitter either). Their drip coffee was also solid--bold, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Overall, a great spot I'd definitely come back to. read more

I love yellow dog so much. Their coffee is so consistent and amazing every time. It is that place that I take everyone when they come visit me. Sometimes they have a singer come play too. read more

Yellow Dog Coffee is a little treat in Norman! I've been going here for the past year for their coffee beans, which they do a really great job with as a local roaster here. The cafe itself is very large in size and is also packed! I love the cozy vibes that come with it. It's a great spot for studying, working, catching up with friends, or even if you just need a quick coffee run! My only complaint is that the parking lot is relatively small and just always packed when I'm coming here so parking can get tricky but definitely not a big enough issue to keep me away! read more

Such a cute little coffee shop in Norman! The coffee was great, and I also tried the veggie wrap, which was really good. I loved the cozy, homey vibe--it's the kind of place that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. Definitely a spot I'd come back to! read more

The overall experience was good. I feel like the Ethiopian pourover I ordered leaned too far into dark roast flavors for what I'd expect from that region. The barista might've over filled the dripper or pierced the filter paper because I had grounds at the end of my cup. The shop, otherwise, is comfortable with ample seating and tables. They appear to rely on ambient light because it was a bit dark due to the overcast conditions outside. Not the shop's fault, obviously, but something worth keeping in mind. read more

Watching someone get punched inside your establishment was already shocking, but the staff's response was even more disappointing. There didn't seem to be any urgency, concern, or protocol to make sure the victim was okay. Instead of checking on the people involved, it felt like everyone just continued business as usual and asked for my order. I understand employees can't control the actions of others, but they can control how they respond afterward. Customer safety and basic compassion should be a priority. I hope management develops better procedures for situations like this so no one else has to experience the same lack of care. read more

This place is in a very unusual location that is not close to any main roads but the building Itself is very modern. YDC is smack dab in the middle of a wine and charcuterie bistro and an interior design shop. My first thought upon entering was that it's very LA-like; Hip and bare-bones but funky enough to attract it crowds. They also still take Covid measures seriously. I ordered an oat milk lavender latte which was just how I like it, slightly sweet but you still taste the coffee. I noticed they roast their own beans which is a major plus in my book. read more

This was my first visit after purchasing a "Bean to Cup Coffee Experience" for my husband back in February. After his bean to cup experience he's done nothing but talk about coming back. He also purchased 2 bags of beans that we've been using sparingly because they're soo good!! We live in Lawton, OK so getting this way doesn't happen often but today I was heading to get my car serviced and decided to stop by and support this local coffee shop! Boy was I happy I made this decision!! The staff is so helpful and friendly and I just love how the shop is decorated. I enjoyed a pistachio iced late, and local made sausage breakfast burrito and a Sooner scone to enjoy tomorrow for breakfast. 10/10 love this coffee shop and the owner! And you know I'm snagging a few bags of beans!! read more

Used to be a fave of mine until recently. I used to love that their coffee drinks weren't too sweet. They must have changed their recipe because the drinks have been too sweet on my last 5 visits. Also, they're always out of the everything bagels. Last 8 visits, they've been out. I'll still frequent the location. Just have to remember to order my drink with half sweetness and will have to come to the realization that they'll be out of bagels! read more

I love coming here and I'm so sad that I recently had such a poor experience! I sat down and within 10 minutes was told I'm not allowed to "loiter" I told the man speaking to us that we'd come and order pastries in a moment. Not 10 minutes later he told us the owners said we had to leave. When I asked if I could just order right now he said "no I missed my chance" and kicked us out. read more

Yellow Dog Coffee is taking local own and local roast to new levels. The shop is nice and quaint and smells of fresh roasted coffee and fresh baked cookies. It's amazing! Bottle it up and sell it as an air freshener. The coffee is decently priced and it's located right near Main Street downtown Norman. The staff are friendly and eager to serve you. There is plenty of parking down the street if the front lot is full. I ordered a cappuccino (drink in only, but I'm sure they'd pour it in a Togo cup if you ask nicely). The coffee was very deep and earthy, some of the best I've ever had. The best part, is they are so close I don't have to drive up to OKC to get a cup of awesome high end brew. You can also buy it ground or whole by the bag. I'm definitely a fan now! They offer delivery service for the beans and their cold brew if that interests you. 5 out of 5 I would definitely go there again even if it's just for the free smells. read more

The latte I got was delicious. Staff was very friendly. Will need to go back soon to actually try the baked goods and some other coffee drinks. The owner was there and was super friendly and told us all about the new location that will be opening soon. My only complaint (and the reason for the 4 stars vs 5) is there was only one outlet my laptop could work on (I needed a three-prong outlet) and it was blocked by folks who were occupying the table in front of it. The owner mentioned that it should be remedied in the new location so I hope that is the case. read more

This is such a great coffee shop. The coffee is amazing and the pastries are, too! The ambiance of the space is extremely calming. It's a great place to do homework or just hang out. The staff is extremely friendly and will answer any questions you may have. Even offered to change to music while i was studying to any genre i preferred. I had a Nicaraguan pour over with a Sweet Elvis scone and they were amazing. Free WiFi, great local art on the walls, and a great aesthetic. 10/10 stars, this is definitely my new favorite coffee shop and I have a feeling I'll be coming back again and again! read more

To be fair I'm not into social coffee houses. I am however into coffee, and have been for a very long time. I told server I like a strong drip brewed Colombian coffee. He suggested a Brazilian they had on special, and I asked it was made with Arabica or Robusto beans. He corrected my pronunciation of Arabica as a-ri-ba-ca instead of the long second a. He was wrong and snobbish. read more

Yellow Lab Coffee is a gem in downtown Norman. The large windows give the coffee shop a light and airy atmosphere.
