Update to a month ago. Still Not sure on stars 3 or 4. We actually went in to eat a late lunch. Only one other table there. Ordered the Tuna with Apples, as our normal. So much better than our last 2 to go orders! They seem to have more filling. We did try the potato salad this visit. Was eatable but no pickles or anything. Lots of pepper and garlic mayo. So would pass. They also show pasta salad but not sure I want to try. No bake cookies this time were light brown and very dry ! Last time we picked them up I thought they were darker and better tasting. Sweet tea is really good. Chairs are super uncomfortable. I'm not giving up on them yet! read more

My table mate had the turkey sandwich and it was delicious (I had to have a bite) The bread ad fresh and firm, the mortadella cheese perfect. 1/2 is big! I had the quiche and was sorely disappointed. Flavorless, with a tough bready crust. It was served with vegetables that were not cooked properly, also bland. It had clearly been microwaved. So I decided to stop on a recommendation of a friend. I looked over their menu they have listed here on Yelp and decided the prices were pretty decent. When I got there and walked in one of the ladies said she would be right there and she was. After looking at the menu inside the sandwich was 3.50 higher than listed on their menu here. I ordered the Italian sub with everything. It only took a few minutes and another lady called my name and put the sandwich on the counter. No thank you or your welcome when I said thank you. When I got home and opened it up it was a good size but the lettuce was old, soggy and browning in some areas. I found a piece or two of onion and a couple of pickle slices and tomato. Pretty scarce with the meat as well. There was so much sauce on it tht it was dripping everywhere. The bread was decent. Personally I won't be back. A friend who grew up in Midwest City often talked about Napoleon Deli, but who wants to drive there from downtown OKC sandwich. Then one of our chefs mentioned they were one of the few places that knew how to use mortadella properly. Funny enough, I found myself nearby a couple weeks later and decided to give it a try. From perusing the menu on their website, I had intended to order the Country French with mortadella, ham and cheese. When I went in, I found they also have an Italian that adds salami and mild peperoncini so I orders a large. Oh my gosh, it's good. I'm not going to say it's the best sandwich I've ever had, but it's really darned good. I loved the bread; smooth browned top with a good flavor and nice chewiness. I stopped by again a few days later and got two Italians (one for me and one for a friend) and a half Country French (also pretty great). The next Italian I get, I may see if they can hold the mayo and Napoleon sauce, and add a little oil and vinegar just to vary things up a bit. Don't make my mistake and thing it's not worth the drive. It very definitely is. read more

Love to support local businesses so tried out Napoleon for lunch. It's very clean but seemed to do more carryout business than dine in. The sandwiches were bland, bread was tough, very little meat on the sandwiches. Hate to say it, but Subway is a better offering. The overall taste of the sandwiches is pretty good, but it is very expensive for the amount that you receive. The meat was scarce and did not even create a layer that covered more than 75% of the bread face. The lettuce and tomatoes were very light. The toppings did not go to the end of the sandwich bread which leaves you mostly eating very expensive bread rather than a sandwich. The staff was not overly welcoming or friendly and acted annoyed when asked to replace the syrup for the soft drinks. I left thinking "I should have gone to Jersey Mike's". read more

The sandwiches have gotten consistently worse and more expensive over the years. My sandwich today was especially disappointing: the bread was bordering stale, the meat was thin and the dressing was light. The service was not memorable, but it was good - the sandwich came out fast and the cashier was pleasant and didn't pressure me into tipping (a rarity, these days). But the ambience was boring and generic: If you ignore the sign saying "Napoleon" and the accompanying poster of the little general (both of which feel out of place in the otherwise "bland Christian), you might think you were in a particularly cheap dollar store - the chairs and tables are low quality plastic, the walls are mostly white with various Bible quotes strewn about, and the unfinished ceiling and exposed duct work give the impression that you're in a large shed. I can sadly no longer recommend this place which was one my favorite Midwest City eatery. read more

I tried this little place many years ago when I was in this town. I remember how the sandwich was so delicious! The bread was amazing. Also, they served bread pudding, on the house. Now, years later, while visiting Midwest City, I happened upon it again. It was a completely different building, so I wasn't sure if it would be the same experience. It was! I've heard about this place on and off for the past 4 years I've resided in the area and just tried them today. My co-worker agreed that the customer service is lacking (hence the low star reviews). I got the #1 which has mortadella, turkey, bacon and cheese. The sandwich was good, bread seemed fresh, but TBH it wasn't anything special. I prefer Jersey Mike's if I wanted a cold sub. I've been coming to Napoleon's for about 25 years; since they were located on 29th Street. I always loved their sandwiches and being greeted by name from the owner. The original owners have since retired and sold the business. Why the 2 stars? Sandwiches are pretty close to the same. They don't put as much on them as the original. I can live with that. The deal breaker is every time I go there, I receive the worst customer service. They're just rude and act as if it's an inconvenience that you're there. Sad to see the name decline. I hate that I am giving three stars, but a part of me wants to almost dip down to 2.5. I used to praise the freshness of the bread, the amount of meat on the sandwich, and the delicious mystery sauce. I cannot any longer. I still go to Napolean's because I nostalgically remember the greatness of their sandwiches when the quirky French couple owned it. And sometimes the sandwiches under this new owner still hit, but more and more often the opposite is true - they're just marginal sandwiches. This place is spectacular. From bakery baked fresh French bread to their delicious house sauce. You can't go wrong. I typically get their #7, but have tried most sandwiches. Delicious! They have a great dessert selection. They gave "sonic" ice. Their French onion soup is a must try as well as the bread pudding. They are open for lunch! I love Napoleon Deli for its charm, family ownership, and the food. This place is a true hidden gem in Midwest City and if you've never been there, you need to make it a priority to during lunch. They have sandwiches, soups, salads, quiche, lasagna, and other specials. I love the half sandwich and cup of soup combo because it's a good variety and so filling. Their desserts are also amazing, so save room or get one to go. Napoleon's owners are also involved in the community and that's important to me, so it's definitely an added bonus of supporting their business. I've been going here for years with my boyfriend. As much as I love their food this latest visit did me in. Prior to this visit, it's always been 5 stars for me. Yes, it seems they're skimping on their meats. The portion of bread pudding has been cut nearly in half. That's a lot of the complaints I hear about this place from friends I used to go with. I can deal with that. I've always known this place is run by religious people. They don't try to keep it a secret with the decorations and music. I don't mind either. You do you. But this time I went to lunch with a friend of mine. I think it might of been obvious to them that she plays for the other team, that's the only reason I can imagine we got such cold looks. What's it matter to them, yeah I know. It's none of their business. However the women that work up front that I have been seeing for years suddenly had lost their smiles and welcoming spirits.
