CARNE ADOBADA
Joshua L.

Wonderful meal. CARNE ADOBADA pictured. We had the nachos as well, which were some of the best lloaded nachos I've had. I added steak, and the fried onions really brought the nachos together. The Carne Adoba was extremely flavorful. I loved the beans,, which were pureed and different than anything I've had before. This was my first Guatemalan experience, and it was wonderful.

MIGAS
Lauryl B.

I always get the Mazapan latte it is delicious and not too sweet even with the whipped cream. The migas is spectacular and the black beans have so much flavor on any plate you get. I love that it comes with the fresh fruit with mango sauce. The fresh guacamole is exactly what it says it is. It's a big loud inside once it gets busy, but the food makes it worth the stay.

I was visiting family near this place and wanted to try it out. The food was amazing and delicious, the service was great and family-friendly, and the interior was clean and beautiful. I would definitely eat here again.

Tres Leches Concha

Great place for brunch. Started with the Santa's Cookies coffee drink. Pro tip, let the cookies on top melt in the coffee, it's like drinking liquid cookies. Also got the tres leches concha for table. I am not a tres leches fan, but this did not taste like tres leches at all. Just enough liquid to dip the concha in without the concha being soggy, and a nice Nutella flavor. Great option for Guatemalan breakfast without the long wait of other similar restaurants in the area.

Thought we'd check this place out and see if it was a good alternative to café kacao. Unfortunately it does not compare. The service is excellent so it's a great place to go to for good service and if you're super hungry and just need a quick bite to eat. However, their selection of specialty coffees is nothing special, and their regular black Guatemalan coffee is nothing ill get again. My husband hot the burrito and i got the machaca breakfast. Portions are much smaller than Cafe Kacao with about almost the same price tag. Im ok with less food as portions are much bigger than they should be at most restaurants anyway, but the price should be a lot less considering. The flavors were also just blah. Nothing special. Anyway, the service was excellent and we had a fine time. Establish was quaint and easy to have a co conversation . No wait when we arrived at 9am on a Wednesday. But wont be coming back in favor of other breakfast spots.

Amazing every time!! Daniel is very nice server, he seems to always get us! We adore the workers and love the food

Spicy Mocha
Tim D.

Let me start with the bad: Nothing. What was good? Kitschy, homey atmosphere -- buzzing on a weekend mid-morning. The service was great! Friendly, helpful, attentive. Started with a spicy mocha, which was exactly what you would hope for and expect. The spicy motuleno was really great. I am already looking forward to being back in OKC to work through more of the menu.

Carne Asada Lunch and Chilaquiles Breakfast

Cafe Antigua is always an exciting stop for some brunch. Got to invite a fellow Yelp Elite to try it for the first time and was so happy to share some yummy food. Cafe Antigua gets busy, so definitely be prepared to use the wait system that they have at their sister location Cafe Kacao. We came on the earlier side about 10, and we were able to be seated without waiting. Huge area, a lot bigger than Kacao, so definitely more seating immediately. As far as food, I tried something different this go round and had a machaca omelette which was fine. The asada is typically my go to, and I probably should have gone with that but I wanted to try something new. The machaca just was okay. Nothing too crazy flavorful. The beef wasn't memorable, but it still was a good meal overall. Their beans are amazing! The rest was good. My friend enjoyed her spicy montleno. Both lattes were also yummy! Definitely would suggest the salted caramel. The miss was actually the tres leches concha. I realllllllly wanted to like it. But it was SOOOOO dry. I mean, REALLY dry. Which was surprising since it's supposed to be tres leches right? But no, both the top and bottom portion was extremely dry. So I definitely wouldn't order again. 4 stars since the machaca was okay and was a complete pass on the tres leches concha, but everything else was good.

The same as the last few decades I've been dining here. Always delicious and always creative and beautifully plated. The service is always perfect.

MACHACA OMELET
Alex A.

What an excellent place with outstanding breakfast options and espresso menu. Loved the Machaca omelette with shredded meat. It all paired nicely with the classic refried beans and plátanos. Loved the tomato salsa and sour cream that came together with the homestyle potatoes. Service was great and the ambience was perfect for breakfast. Loved the visit, would like to come back soon.

I absolutely love this place ! So yummy and so many vegetarian options for me ! Always busy on the weekend but worth the wait .

Cinnamon Dulce Latte - so tasty
Mariam R.

Visited here on a trip to OKC and the restaurant didn't disappoint! I went to the sister restaurant, Cafe Kacao, on my previous visit so I was excited to check this place out. The interior of the restaurant wasn't anything fancy, but it doesn't need to be. The food speaks for itself! The server seemed to be in a hurry but he still was very helpful in helping us decide what to order. He recommended the Machaca omelette so I got it. It was so incredibly tasty! I don't eat lard so I had whole black beans. They were kind of sour due to the cheese that was added. Not too salted either. The potatoes that the omelette came with were a bit on the plain side too. However, the omelette was delicious! I really loved it as well as the sauce on the side. It wasn't spicy at all, just all flavor. My husband got steak and eggs which tasted amazing too! We additionally tried the churros and it was so good too. Additionally, I tried a Cinnamon Dulce Latte which was absolutely divine. It was so creamy and had hints of caramel. Just loved it.

All secondary roads are still snow packed so at 11:30 there was only one other couple in the restrauant. The Press is in an old (1920's ?) repourposed building. The interior is comfortable, charming and a bit whimsical. We started with an order of cheese sticks. They were very good and large. I liked that the cheese sticks did not have Italian seasoning in the breading. Jan ordered the chicken fried ribeye with mashed potatoes, cream gravey and green beans. Jan loved it. I took a bite of the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. The green beans were very good. They were loaded with garlic, which I love, but if you're not a garlic fan, I would suggest another side. I ordered the grilled chicked sandwich with waffle fries. The sandwich was good and the waffle fries were excellent. The portions are large and the food quality excellent. The prices reasonable. The menu has variety. Quick to keep our coffees topped off and full of information about the food items I was considering. I had the Big Boi Burrito, and it was very filling and yummy. My friends chose the Press Cobb and Breakfast Bomb. They were both very pleased and stated there was many options on the menu they would be interested in trying.

We grabbed 2 seats at the bar and were quickly greeted and given menus, place settings & ice water by one of the bartenders After about 5 minutes our order was taken - I didn't see the gluten free pancakes on the menu so I wasn't hopeful but when I asked the employee said that they do in fact have gluten free pancakes! I ordered pancakes 3 ways - creme brûlée, blueberry with lemon & a pig in a blanket along with 2 scrambled eggs & the candied bacon Hubs got the breakfast tacos, side of bacon and an Irish coffee Candied bacon came out with the Irish coffee quick - both were so good! I'm not a pepper fan so when I saw it on the candied bacon I was nervous, but it didn't overpower the flavor at all Next came the tacos & my smazing plate of gluten free PANCAKES!!!! The tacos looked good, but in all honesty I didn't ask if it was good because I was SO focused on my plate :) The pig in a blanket was my fave - the bourbon syrup was so good, there was a little spice to the sausage which was a nice balance The blueberry lemon was great - light, flavorful and just yummy The creme brulee which I was anticipating the most - was good, but wasn't my fave - maybe I was too full by the time I got to it but it wasn't as nummy as I'd hoped I'll be coming back next time I'm in town

All for only $6 I ordered a cup of coffee which was $3.50. Son ordered a Holly Bowl, that looked tasty for $10 & a GF Biscuit for $4 with fresh raspberry jam. I shared my sausage patty & some of the fruit with my husband which he enjoyed. He had chocolate milk for $4. Prices were very reasonable. Food was delicious & large amounts & super friendly staff! These were in the Truck Stop plate and the Cannonball biscuit sandwich that we got. Absolutely loved them! We also ordered the Benny Mix and Match with the Pork Chile and the Which Came First, both of which were so flavorful and rich as well. As dessert, we tried the Strawberries and Cream biscuit, which I wasn't sure about at first but was so sweet and delicious! The biscuit itself has a light sweetness, and they're generous with the strawberries and whipped cream which makes the perfect bite. Overall, I loved HunnyBunny and I'll definitely be back!

That price isn't even including a tip. This place has always been pricier than the rest, but a couple years ago they used to give your to-go coffees in a mason jar so it was justified. Now the mason jars are gone, the cups are barely bigger than a claw clip, and somehow they're charging even more. This was my fourth time here and I wanted to give them another shot, but it'll have to be my last try. You can get much better coffee at a much more fair price at other places in the city. The only strength Elemental has is that it has a bit longer food menu than other cafes, but if you're paying more than $20 for a tiny coffee and a mediocre snack then you are wasting your time and money. Also, I don't expect you to yell a welcome or fall on your knees to greet me when I walk in, but the service here is miserable and always has been. The barista asked me how I was doing, to which I said good thank you, then just stared at me for a good few seconds. I guess that means go ahead and order here. A simple "what would you like today" would suffice. Most places you get used to waiting a second while the barista prepares the system, so if that's not the case, just say something. Then they hand you your to-go drink without a lid, because the $9.50 you spent doesn't cover that level of labor and you need to do it yourself. I love to support our local coffee shops here in OKC, but you'll never find me recommending Elemental. Which is a shame, because the mason jars in my cabinet at home are a good reminder of when they served unique and fairly priced coffee. I am so thoroughly disappointed that I made an account just to say this. At least the espresso is okay.
