Let me first say , WOW.... Took my retired Uncle to this spot recently, it happened to be in what use to be his old neighborhood. We both really enjoyed the food the service and the atmosphere. We started out with breakfast, which was delicious. My husband and I really enjoyed this place! It was such a great vibe on a Sunday morning. We enjoyed almost everything that we ordered. I would say our favorite things were the French toast and the catfish. There wasn't necessarily anything wrong with the french fries in the chicken wings, but they definitely didn't have the same flavor and crunch like the catfish did. I've been here twice now and they seriously have the BESTTT espresso martini I've ever had. That alone made us come back. First time the food was great and service was good but drinks and getting the bill took forever. Second time the espresso machine wasn't working which was a bummer because that's what we came for. Entered the restaurant on Saturday 08/30/2025, and was seated immediately (approximately 2:12pm), and given a menu. At 2:35pm (while still waiting to order), I was "very politely" asked if I would mind moving to another table. I responded by advising that I was still waiting to have my order taken. Still waiting (and had not even received a glass of water, or asked if I wanted a beverage)! I politely responded that I would be leaving. Interestingly enough, a couple who were seated just before me, were enjoying their beverages. I was surprised to see a mandatory 20% "cook tip" added to my bill. I don't have an issue with restaurants paying their kitchen staff fairly, but I wasn't expecting a 20% charge specifically for the cook, and it wasn't clearly explained beforehand. Our food club tried out Scrambl'd for this month's meeting after seeing it on Yelp's top 10 list recently. We were seated promptly and were well attended to throughout our meal. We had to turn away from the windows because the sun was shining brightly through. You may want to keep this in mind when they are seating you. The menu was not as extensive as sometimes breakfast/brunch places can be, but there were many solid options. We tried the OG breakfast, sweet potato hash, and the power bowl. All the food was good, perhaps not anything spectacular. But they do offer a few creative entrees like Oaty's lamb chops and peach cobbler biscuit, so we probably should have gone for one of their specialties. Maybe we will next time. read more
