Pig Biscuit with two eggs scrambled

Grannies is my current #1 for breakfast and I've been to this location and the one on the Northside. They're pretty consistent with the food. The service is pretty good and consistently friendly. The Pig Biscuit is my go to and sometimes the Nasty Granny. Im into unique combos of my favorite breakfast items. These are just a couple. I bring my own hot sauce.

Good standard American food. Came for a late breakfast and ordered the breakfast with pork steak. I can't say I've ever had a pork steak for breakfast but it was really good and cooked well. Huge portions and lots of variety.

    A delicious Cinnamon Roll!

This place is AMAZING! We were seated and served by Jose! He had the best attitude and service we've had in a very long time! We even got a delicious cinnamon roll! We will be back! Thank you Jose !

So yesterday we were in town to visit family. My husband wanted breakfast so he said let's go try Granny's Kitchen. The restaurant is so cute. We had the nicest waitress her name was Dawn, she said like the dish soap. She brought us a scrumptious and delicious cinnamon roll. She helped my husband order and his meal was huge and did not disappoint it was a chicken fried steak with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and fluffy pancakes made from scratch. It was delicious. I had the egg white omelette and double cottage cheese it was so good. Orlando is the owner and he is awesome he stopped and told the story behind the restaurant because I was curious. We definitely recommend this place.

What left of the cinnamon roll. Yummo!

Seated immediately upon entering. Semi busy. Smelled great. As "newbies" we got a complimentary cinnamon roll. So delicious. Everything was spot on. Nothing bad to say. Large portions cooked well service so friendly, like you met an old friend for lunch. Macaylee was awesome, so sweet and informative. Thank You!!

First time here...greeted and sat immediately. Waitress, Ashliegh, was at our table promptly, learned it was our first visit and brought us a free cinnamon roll. Ahhhmazing! I ordered the breakfast BLT which was great too! Sweet and spicy bacon, tomato, lettuce on sourdough with habanero jam. Perfect mix of sweet, salty, and spicy. The potatoes were perfect too. Crispy skins, perfect in the middle. Hubs got the Nasty Granny. I'll let the pic talk for itself. He's very picky about his chicken-fried steak and he tore up as much as he could without being too over-stuffed. All empty tables were clean, cute bar area.

All secondary roads are still snow packed so at 11:30 there was only one other couple in the restrauant. The Press is in an old (1920's ?) repourposed building. The interior is comfortable, charming and a bit whimsical. We started with an order of cheese sticks. They were very good and large. I liked that the cheese sticks did not have Italian seasoning in the breading. Jan ordered the chicken fried ribeye with mashed potatoes, cream gravey and green beans. Jan loved it. I took a bite of the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. The green beans were very good. They were loaded with garlic, which I love, but if you're not a garlic fan, I would suggest another side. I ordered the grilled chicked sandwich with waffle fries. The sandwich was good and the waffle fries were excellent. The portions are large and the food quality excellent. The prices reasonable. The menu has variety. My friends chose the Press Cobb and Breakfast Bomb. They were both very pleased and stated there was many options on the menu they would be interested in trying.

We grabbed 2 seats at the bar and were quickly greeted and given menus, place settings & ice water by one of the bartenders After about 5 minutes our order was taken - I didn't see the gluten free pancakes on the menu so I wasn't hopeful but when I asked the employee said that they do in fact have gluten free pancakes! I ordered pancakes 3 ways - creme brûlée, blueberry with lemon & a pig in a blanket along with 2 scrambled eggs & the candied bacon Hubs got the breakfast tacos, side of bacon and an Irish coffee Candied bacon came out with the Irish coffee quick - both were so good! I'm not a pepper fan so when I saw it on the candied bacon I was nervous, but it didn't overpower the flavor at all Next came the tacos & my smazing plate of gluten free PANCAKES!!!! The tacos looked good, but in all honesty I didn't ask if it was good because I was SO focused on my plate :) The pig in a blanket was my fave - the bourbon syrup was so good, there was a little spice to the sausage which was a nice balance The blueberry lemon was great - light, flavorful and just yummy The creme brulee which I was anticipating the most - was good, but wasn't my fave - maybe I was too full by the time I got to it but it wasn't as nummy as I'd hoped I'll be coming back next time I'm in town

These were in the Truck Stop plate and the Cannonball biscuit sandwich that we got. Absolutely loved them! We also ordered the Benny Mix and Match with the Pork Chile and the Which Came First, both of which were so flavorful and rich as well. As dessert, we tried the Strawberries and Cream biscuit, which I wasn't sure about at first but was so sweet and delicious! The biscuit itself has a light sweetness, and they're generous with the strawberries and whipped cream which makes the perfect bite. Overall, I loved HunnyBunny and I'll definitely be back!

That price isn't even including a tip. This place has always been pricier than the rest, but a couple years ago they used to give your to-go coffees in a mason jar so it was justified. Now the mason jars are gone, the cups are barely bigger than a claw clip, and somehow they're charging even more. This was my fourth time here and I wanted to give them another shot, but it'll have to be my last try. You can get much better coffee at a much more fair price at other places in the city. The only strength Elemental has is that it has a bit longer food menu than other cafes, but if you're paying more than $20 for a tiny coffee and a mediocre snack then you are wasting your time and money. Also, I don't expect you to yell a welcome or fall on your knees to greet me when I walk in, but the service here is miserable and always has been. The barista asked me how I was doing, to which I said good thank you, then just stared at me for a good few seconds. I guess that means go ahead and order here. A simple "what would you like today" would suffice. Most places you get used to waiting a second while the barista prepares the system, so if that's not the case, just say something. Then they hand you your to-go drink without a lid, because the $9.50 you spent doesn't cover that level of labor and you need to do it yourself. I love to support our local coffee shops here in OKC, but you'll never find me recommending Elemental. Which is a shame, because the mason jars in my cabinet at home are a good reminder of when they served unique and fairly priced coffee. I am so thoroughly disappointed that I made an account just to say this. At least the espresso is okay.
