My husband, our four kids, and I came in for brunch today for the first time. They were able to get us right in! Danya was our waitress and she was the sweetest! Our kids enjoyed the different pancake specials. I ordered the country skillet and it was delicious! Everyone loved the cinnamon rolls. This place had a very welcoming and at home feel to it. Lovely breakfast! Blueberry crepes were delicious. You can order 1 or 2 ... 2 would have been too much food. Cinnamon roll is delicious. I was told they give first-time-visitors a free cinnamon roll, but we weren't offered one so we bought one. Biscuits and gravy serving is huge. One person shouldn't eat that much. read more

I was so hoping that the food would be better after reading other people's reviews and they have a location in Yukon which is closer for me. I will give them another shot at the Yukon location and try something else. I came in for Breakfast of course and it was my first time coming to this location and first time for a Granny's Kitchen. My GPS directions had me going everywhere and when I finally parked I was in the back where it had plastic over a door and such and I thought it had closed down. I just happen to look and see the other parking lot at the front and walked around. I was greeted right away and taken to a table by the bar since I was by myself it was a table for 2. It would've been nicer to be seated in the main dining area to check out all the decor and such. Before I left I did look around the restaurant and use the restroom before I left. The place is clean and decorated like you would expect at a Country Grandma place which I liked. Now to the food. I told my waitress it was my first time and she told me I get a Free Cinnamon Roll. I also got a Dr Pepper , I usually do coffee , but didn't feel like it this morning. She brought me a to go cup and later brought me a big soda glass and said I could take the cup to go of course. The Cinnamon Roll came out kind of warm with lots of frosting on the bottom of the saucer to use if you needed more. It was okay , but it could've been better. I ordered a Half SOS with Scrambled Eggs and Fried Potatoes. I was in the Army during the 80's and we all have memories of the Hot SOS when you were doing maneuvers especially in Germany in the cold. This was not anything like that SOS. It was like Gravy over a Split Biscuit with meat sprinkled on top of it , sausage or hamburger I'm not sure. I wouldn't order again and I liked the Army SOS and of course Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. It was bland even when I put lots of pepper on it. The Fried Potatoes were good and with a little Louisiana Hot Sauce and Ketchup they were better. Scrambled Eggs were good and cooked properly. It also came with a small cup of fruit with strawberries , blueberries , blackberries , pineapple , cherries , and I think cantaloup. It was okay. It was $17.00 and as I said I will have to try again with something different and the Yukon location. Unfortunately my first impression was not very good. read more

This is a good breakfast spot off memorial road with loads of options from your typical breakfast staples to unique flavor combos. Be sure to ask for a complimentary cinnamon roll on your first visit. I tried the chicken fried steak breakfast, which was huge and allowed me to take about half home. All my dining companions seem to enjoy their meals as well. This restaurant is like your typical diner, but better. read more

This review is based on today Mother's day! Just a bad start so I arrived and let the two young Ladies Know im picking up some food and all they tell me is ok and nothing else. I was sanding there for 15 mininus and realized it was there on the side the whole time. I was not able to see it because of the crowd but cold food could have been prevented If the two Young ladies would have directed me. That is not all, my wife ordered an omelet just to find a black hair in. Yes its a bz day a great place to eat as the food is good but on they should be wearing hair nets and beard Covers if employees have long hair. Not a great way to start Mother's day for my wife. Now for me I ordered Biscuits and gravy and order of potatoes and my Order was missing them. I only eaten here twice and food is good but they sure dropped the ball. read more

I have never been so dissatisfied and disappointed in a restaurant. The service was TERRIBLE and the staff was RUDE, disrespectful. Had to wait forever and when we got our food it was way below food expectations. Not only were the people nasty so was the food. A truly interesting dining experience! I will say they have great service! We were seated immediately and had our menu's to review! It was a single page but menu on both sides. Honestly, very good choices. I was thinking about the options and I'm usually a good reader of the menu and choose quickly. It was mid morning so it could go either way, breakfast or lunch. Undecided, I asked the server what her favorite were; she said the Philly Burrito with Queso. Go no further I had already had that one picked out! My wife selected the Breakfast Quesadilla's. We were both pleased with what we selected! The Philly Burrito was huge when it was placed on the table! I thought to myself how was I going to eat that? I made it half way through and thought I could finish this but I would feel miserable for the rest of the day! So it was a to go box for remainder of my meal. I love this restaurant! 2nd time visiting as its not super close to my house. No wait when I stopped in with a friend after a 5k race we ran nearby. Food was delicious and ambience is lively but not too loud. I really enjoyed the Philly Burrito with Queso and added a side of grits and cottage cheese. I am a solid fan of Hiland cottage cheese and Granny's cottage cheese is on the same level. Lots of great merchandise to check out while waiting or when you head out. I like me some breakfast. This has been my favorite goto when on the Northside and they have 2 other locations. I just love the staff here. They're all Killin it from the well-run kitchen to the friendly people front to back of the place. Breakfast won't disappoint at all there are so many choices to tailor or pre-made plates like the Nasty Granny. Relax that belt a little if you take her on. My favorite is the pig biscuit. Two country-style biscuits have a little thicker texture but stands up to that delicious peppery gravy. Comes with ham, bacon, and sausage on it. I added a fried egg over medium on it cause why not? You get your choice of side and I chose hashbrowns. The other picture is one of their omelets my buddy had. Sorry, no long drawn out mouth-watering review on that one. Very busy this trip. My wife and I have kinda become regulars here. Seated quickly and pleasent greeting from. Hostess who is usually quiet. After waiting for 15 before anyone acknowledged us at the table Chad finally came over. We were technically not in his section or was our table his responsibility. In between him taking care of his tables and helping the hostess seat people and bring up to go orders. He was making sure we got excellent service. This man was running. What an experience! We sat outside even though it was a bit chilly, because it was even cooler indoors. It was not too busy. No one came to our table of four for 12 minutes. Finally a young man took our breakfast order, which did not arrive for another 21 minutes. We did spot our server passing by twice, and asked him to at least bring our coffee, but it did not work out. Finally he arrived with a helper and brought 3 breakfasts and 4 glasses of water with my coffee. Eventually he came back with utensils. Then he disappeared for another quarter of an hour, having failed to bring MY breakfast. My son was nice enough to share his food. I really didn't want to eat anymore, having lost my appetite around minute 18. When he finally returned (still with no food for me), the fellow apologized profusely. I went to college in Stillwater, so we would go to Granny's all the time. I didn't know they had opened two in OKC, so that was so exciting to find out! We went early on a Sunday at 8, and there was no wait. I got an iced tea, and I got a plastic to go cup that I took back home with me. My friend and I both got the cinnamon roll French toast, which I would highly recommend. The restaurant itself is super cute, it is decorated liked a southern breakfast spot. The chairs are wooden, and they got pretty uncomfortable quickly. My order was entered correctly (as specified on receipt) but crepes had onion and I asked for none. Many Servers seemed flustered, tired, unkempt, and gossipy amongst themselves. Back at Granny's Kitchen again for an impromptu breakfast date with the Mrs. I had to try the "Nasty Granny" based on the name alone. Warning this thing is probably about 10K calories, but I ordered mine with turkey bacon and sausage because i don't eat pork. I paired it with a side of seasonal pumpkin pancakes and OJ to wash it all down. Naturally, I only ate about a quarter of this monstrosity of a meal and took the rest as leftovers for the next two days. Yes, it's that much food, but who doesn't love a good old nasty granny? A nice diner type place if you want a good breakfast at a reasonable price. The menu is varied enough to please most everyone except if you are vegan or vegetarian. If you are looking for more healthy options, I would not recommend this place. We were pleased to be able to yelp in a reservation when we were just 5 mins from arriving and although the restaurant was crowded with people waiting we were seated right away. Our waitress Melissa was fast and friendly throughout the service and you could tell she had a lot of tables to service. The food was okay, standard breakfast fare and nothing outstanding but I rated this place higher more for the service and value. Ambiance was also standard casual, with a bar and some fun decor.
