How do you give a diner or restaurant anything but when all is frozen or boxed. The 1 is based on service by Mirna ( hope spelled rt/no name tag). Y'all know me and Chicken Fried Steak.( frozen) I am sure Broccoli was .... And mashed potatoes were boxed prepared most likely in microwave// apparently at a certain time one large pot of coffee is made and than transferred to smaller pots sits and no hot coffee.......Service was good though

A beautifully plated rainbow colored breakfast this morning. And it's tasty too!

A beautifully plated breakfast. This is my second time here. It's quiet enough in a Tuesday to get some work done too. And it's tasty!

    Crab Louie eggs benedict

I decided to try Joey's Cafe because I noticed they had crab Louie eggs benedict on their menu. When I arrived about 11:00 a.m. the place was packed, and I could tell the hostess and wait staff were all working super hard to clean off the tables after the morning rush. The hostess cleaned off a table just for me and gave me a menu as soon as I walked in. My waiter arrived promptly and got my coffee order, and then he swung right back by and got my food order. They were a very well run machine this morning. My meal was absolutely perfection! The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the hollandaise was wonderful. The crab cakes were cooked with a nice crunchy outside. I think this was probably the best brunch I've ever had in Oklahoma City. And that's saying a lot. I will definitely be back for more!

This place looks like a family own business very cute and decorative. I ordered the crab louie egg Benedict with side of hashbrowns. The crab was very flavorful and eggs were perfect. Not too runny or not too cooked. I also asked about the fresh orange juice and the server said he doesn't know if it was fresh but ordered it anyways. It tasted like Sunny D. I was hoping I'd get fresh orange juice with the pulps since the menu said fresh orange juice.. so bummed that it wasn't fresh.

    Egg BLT on Wheat Toast

Old school breakfast! I ordered bacon and over hard eggs, usually over-hard eggs are over cooked, but not here. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the bacon wasn't greasy. My husband had the Egg BLT on wheat, typically served on Sour Dough. He said it was excellent. Service was accurate and fast. The dining room was clean and quiet. We will definitely be back.

I ordered the salted caramel iced coffee, and it was fantastic . It's served with a sealed plastic lid and pointy straw so you get to start drinking it like you would a boba tea. I also got a Black Forest cake to go, and it was okay. It had good textures and was very light and airy. I was expecting something richer, so it missed the mark a bit for me personally. *Important things to know before going* A lot of the pastries are Asian inspired, so they have a very light and airy texture with a sweet yet understated taste. It still tastes great, but don't expect a super rich or dense cake. If you're looking for a cafe to work out of, this isn't the place for you. There's no stated rule against it, but it felt clear the bakery didn't want me working there, lol. No WiFi available and there aren't really any plugs at all for laptops. Items can sell out before the end of the day, especially during rushes. Get there earlier in the day for more options.

They also wouldn't heat up the savory bun, which was disappointing. It would've been much better warm, but the cashier said no and clearly didn't care. Service was speedy, but our cashier was unfriendly. The coffee was overpriced and too sweet, and it needed stirring--but you can't stir it with the boba lid. On top of that, we had to order coffee separately and pay twice, which felt inconvenient. Even after ordering at the kiosk, our hot coffee somehow came out iced... oops. (Yes, it clearly says iced on the receipt - so obviously we missed something.) We also had to clean our own table, even though it wasn't busy. There seems to be a lot of variety at first glance, but if you look closely, it's mostly the same bread--lots of red bean. On the plus side, there's lots of natural light and plenty of seating (at least when it's not busy). Overall, a bit disappointed. The prices lured us in, but this won't be a routine stop for us. It doesn't hold a candle to Tous Les Jours.

I ordered the Cuban panini with a side of Parmesan-encrusted button mushrooms. It's so hard to find anything close to Cuban bread, but this wasn't bad, and the panini was toasted nicely. There's only one problem: This isn't a Cuban sandwich. It's ham and turkey with pickles. I'll point the finger at myself for not looking at the menu closer. A Cuban HAS to be roast pork and ham, and the meat shouldn't be cold. I know this isn't Miami, but stop trying to pass this off as something it's not. As for the Parmesan-encrusted mushrooms, you might expect some bit of crust or breading with Parmesan. Nope. These were sautéed mushrooms with a glop of Parmesan (not entirely sure it wasn't Swiss) in the middle. If you wanted both, you had to get a mushroom, then bite off a bit of the no longer melted cheese. I'm not going to tell anyone not to come here. As ham and turkey paninis go, it was OK. But I can't help but think if they're trying to pass things off as something they're not, what else might not be as it seems?

I do wish they had an option to have dressing on the side though, it came already dressed and the salad was a little on the soggy end. They also dressed the salad but give you extra dressing, so little confusing. Dr Beek's salad was a little on the sweeter side too. They also forgot the grilled chicken add on for our salad so bit disappointing. Overall, they're alright! I love that it's a healthy option. We'd go again if they got our orders right.

I've even "cruised" past ordering spuds or cookies in the past because I didn't always think the value was there. With this newer location, though, I may need to rethink that. On this visit I grabbed a to-go order of two spuds and two cookies. My wife wanted the Turkey Spud and I tried the Baja Spud with chicken. The first thing I noticed right away--the potatoes were huge! Honestly, some of the most impressive sized spuds I've had from City Bites in quite some time. My wife's Turkey Spud was loaded, easy to see the generous amount of turkey piled on top. She was happy, which means I was happy. My Baja Spud, on the other hand, looked good but didn't quite deliver the same way. It felt light on the chicken and a little heavy on the sour cream. The flavor was fine, but the balance of ingredients wasn't what I expected, especially compared to how well-topped my wife's potato was. Thankfully, the spud itself was large enough that I could share with her and still be satisfied. Now, the cookies. I've been vocal in the past about how City Bites cookies have gotten smaller with less icing, which was disappointing since their Pumpkin Cookie has always been a personal favorite. This time I was pleasantly surprised--the Pumpkin Spice and Snickerdoodle were closer to the classic City Bites cookies I used to love. Bigger, better, and more in line with what they should be. A perfect sweet ending to our meal. Overall, I left impressed with the portion sizes and especially happy with the cookies. The Baja Spud could use more chicken, but between the generous potatoes and the nostalgic return of the cookies, this location gives me hope that City Bites is stepping things back up.
