In a quick find trying to accommodate 20 people for brunch, Granny's was more than accommodating. We called that morning and set a reservation and they had it all ready to go as we all arrived. BIG plus As we ordered, our waitress was extremely attentive. Everyone was making sure everything was going well. Although the food may have taken some time (which is understandable due to our party size and it being busy on a Sunday for brunch), our food was fresh. I ordered the Philly omelette and it was yummy. Had enough meat and seasoning. The potatoes were great. It came with a side which I picked pancakes - I decided to do the Reese's which I could have done without as it didn't have much Reese's flavor besides the candy on top. I don't ever post reviews, but breakfast was so bad today that it's warranted. Been several times, will NOT go back. Staff atmosphere was completely unhappy to be there. Both our meals were sorely disappointing. I ordered sirloin steak breakfast. The patty was overcooked and dry. The potatoes were dark brown and overcooked. Even the scrambled eggs were brown and overdone. Took the pancakes home. Opened them up at home. The cook intentionally hid a super dark brown pancake underneath a golden brown pancake. My husband ordered chicken fried steak with eggs over easy, potatoes, and biscuit w/gravy. The steak was massive but also overcooked and a third of it was purely breading and no steak. The biscuit was DARK brown. Only the eggs were cooked correctly. When the waitress asked how the meal was we told her "had much better here before". She looked shocked and called for a manager. We told the manager all the issues. She looked at us like we were crazy. "The biscuit is overdone? It was cooked as a 10 minute biscuit." "Would you like anything remade?" "No point, it already took a long time to get the first order and we're ready to leave." NEVER AGAIN! read more

First time trying Granny's on NW Expwy. To be honest I didn't realize it was even there! A co worker and I went in for lunch not knowing if we were getting breakfast or lunch! We decided on lunch! I took the pathway of a lighter lunch getting a Philly Cheesecake on a Ciabatta Bun. I'm a sucker for a Philly Cheesesteak and this was actually a nice version on a sandwich. My co-worker go the Chicken Fried Steak - it was humongous! He said it ranks right up there in his top 3 for Chicken Fried Steak meals. Our server was Katrina and she was very nice, answering our questions and making sure everything was just right! The restaurant was very nice, clean and made you feel like you wanted to be there to eat. I've been to the one in Memorial and I do like that location but this one happens to be closer to where I live so I'll definitely be coming back to this location for breakfast / lunch! read more

We came by today for lunch so the place was understandably busy. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly. The service was friendly but slow, with a 45-minute wait for food, and we waited a bit for coffee in the beginning. Our server was attentive with coffee refills, maybe a bit too much. I had the Florentine Benedict, which was decent, but the hash browns were just okay. The coffee tasted watered down. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're not in a rush and want a laid-back setting with friendly service. We had a very disappointing experience here this morning, May 10, 2026, at Granny's Kitchen. My boyfriend and I came in for breakfast and he ordered the "Fat Granny." When our meals arrived, my boyfriend bit into a nearly 2-inch piece of wire on his second bite. We immediately notified our waitress, who took the wire from us and offered to replace the meal. My boyfriend declined because, understandably, after biting into a piece of metal wire, he was completely put off from eating any more of the food. The waitress informed the cook in the back, and she admitted the wire appeared to have come from the frying basket. My boyfriend had only eaten about three bites total before this happened. While our waitress was kind and professional throughout the situation, we were extremely disappointed when we received the check and saw that only $1.75 had been taken off the meal. His meal alone was over $17, and it was clear he barely touched it because of the incident. We understand accidents can happen, but finding metal wire in food is a serious safety concern. Given the circumstances, the meal should have been fully comped. I just wanted to bring this to everyone's attention in hopes that this issue is taken seriously. read more

This one opened and is closer to the house vs the memorial location. It was service with a smile. All staff seemed happy. All orders came out accurate. As they just opened per the server... The no booze kinda let some air out of my sail.... I think we will return. I was impressed by the price of adult orange juice for breakfast... I think I saw $8... .. wowza. First time here. It's a really cute place. We atmosphere is kind of country mixed with modern I guess. All the people that greeted me were very friendly and my server was as well! I got everything in a timely manner and it was delicious. Since I have some food information issues I was very happy that I could substitute the potatoes and the toast for fruit and brussel sprouts, that made my day. Good coffee and generous ice water and they have real half and half which is important to me. I heard somebody asked for soup and they said they didn't make soup which kind of cracks me up because what granny doesn't make great soup? I think they should add some soup to the menu especially with the cold coming on soon, in fact it's kind of already here. It would go well with their lunch menu. This was my first time here and unfortunately I won't be returning. The service felt inattentive and rushed. Our food and drinks took a long time, and when my son spilled his orange juice, we had to flag someone down for help. After our food arrived, the server checked on us very quickly twice and then brought the check shortly after, without really giving us time to finish or feel taken care of. We were in need of some catering options for Christmas and decided to give this place a try. We ordered trays of eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy and french toast. Upon arrival for pick up (Christmas Eve), our food was ready to go, packaged securely, labeled and fresh. They even threw in some cinammon rolls that were amazing. I cannot say enough about the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff at this location as they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We received a lot of compliments from our guests on Christmas morning and although we should have ordered the day of, everything heated up very well and tasted amazing.
