I originally left a mixed review for this spot, because nothing about what they called a "patty melt" actually tasted like one. Instead, it was a massive amount of bread loaded with an overwhelming heap of mustard--though even that wasn't as overpowering as the heavy grease and grill-funk aftertaste it left behind. I ended up throwing away the basket meal with more than half left. Luckily, the owner replied to my review to educate me that my perceived 1/3-pound patty was actually a 6-ounce patty. Clearly, I just failed to appreciate the massive 0.6-ounce difference in those measurements. Point well taken. Hats off, sir. I'll politely decline your offer to ask for you personally next time (trust me, I won't be back) so you can lecture me on which of your generous 6-ounce burgers I might actually like. Having spent 41 years on this planet navigating the burger wasteland unassisted so far, I'm optimistic I'll get the hang of it. If you could perhaps channel some of that energy into teaching the kids on staff, they could share your passion for aggressively explaining to patrons why they are wrong to call your product overpriced, inedible, and completely devoid of quality. Now that is the real community impact you are going for. I am overwhelmingly positive and forgiving in my reviews, but this is one of the rare exceptions where I dramatically underestimated how low a business's rating should actually go. If you want to pay an exorbitant price for a terrible burger, only to be told it was supposed to taste that bad on purpose, definitely give these guys a go. Hunting around OKC for a place to grab a quick bite and avoid the rush hour traffic and I stumbled upon this place. Kind of threw me through a loop when I realized it was located in what appeared to be like a dining hall. The food however, was fantastic. Got the patty melt which is recommended by staff. I just returned here after years since Parlor is outside of burger-driving-range from my house. The menu had changed a lot with plenty of new additions, which is awesome, but I was worried that the core burgers may have changed too. While some of the wording was different, I was able to order the exact same burger I fell in love with years ago and the flavor instantly sent me back to the first time I tried it. I ordered the MOB XL Burger Basket with Jalapenos, avocado, and loaded fries. The jalapenos here aren't just regular jalapenos. They are flavor country (also very hot). If you like spicy food, these are the best burger jalapenos in the city imo. My gf ordered the regular single with jalapenos and was annihilated by the spice. She's kind of a wimp when it comes to spice but she trucked through it because the flavors are so good. Long story short, this is still my fav burger in OKC (by a long shot). The fact that this place isn't always highly-rated in a state where people worship Whataburger and Braum's borders on absurdity. MOB is similar to Tucker's but better in every way. It absolutely annihilates S&B and the Garage in flavor. The only possible downside is if you want a tame burger, then sure this isn't the place for you. Location: Some people may have a little difficulty finding this place because it's located in the Parlor, which is similar to the Railyard in Edmond that has multiple restaurants under one roof. The first time I came here I intended on ordering a burger but pivoted at the last second to their pulled pork sandwich. Their pulled pork is legitimately better than many (or maybe even most) BBQ restaurants in the area and their different types of loaded fries are downright delicious too. We were unfamiliar with MOB grill but desperately needed a place that was family friendly for our 2 year old and infant kiddo. The outdoor area of Parlor, where MOB is located, was perfect for that! We came to MOB after checking out the Tulips at Myriad. I got the original onion burger and it was divine. Perfectly cooked and seasoned and my toddler would agree the fries were outstanding. That seasoning, chefs kiss. Parlor's selection of beer/ciders/cocktails were on point too! I got the Blackberry cider from OK Cider Co. and I will now be looking everywhere for it because I want more. I feel that it's easy to create an exciting place where young, single people can gather but to create somewhere that a younger family can come for mom and dad to get a drink and feel safe, THAT's saying something. I had the MOB Burger Basket because that burger doesn't need any accessories. 1/3 lb of fresh ground Angus Ribeye, mustard, American cheese, pickles, marinated grilled onions (who marinates grilled onions? they do!) on a La Baguette fresh baked bun and hand cut fries seasoned with MOB's house made bada-bing spice (it's not hot so you can handle it). The location of their restaurant is inside The Parlor so when you go look for signage it's not going to be large. Parking is free in a lot south of The Parlor on NE 6th. I understand that there is also a free lot to the North of The Parlor that is close to the venue & no street crossing. Went on a Wednesday around Noon. Not too busy. Place your order, pay for your food. I didn't actually make my order as I was a lunch guest so I can't tell you if they take your name or give you a number to pick up your order. Fountain drinks are order here as well. There is a "fountain" station on the East wall. There is also a full bar on the Northside of the space. You might consider hanging around the counter as I don't think they called our names, but put our orders on the counter saying the baskets names. So remember what you ordered. Maybe they did it that way because we were standing there. There are different size tables from 2 tops to 6 top or move tables together if you need more room. The burger was as great as I remember and that's saying something. My party got a Theta Burger basket and one got the XL Burger. The fries were good. Nothing like a hand cut fry. I've been a huge fan of MOB for well over 6 years - starting with following them around in their food truck to their latest spot at parlor. It was their classic onion burger and fries that drew me in and hooked me for life. If you've never been, MOB (Marcos Onion Burgers) is known for changing the game on the classic onion burger by introducing some real flavor. Starting with the blend of meats to their marinated onions (and jalapeños if you want a kick). They've been able to find the balance between tradition and flavor (not knocking the classic onion burger, but traditionally it's just meat and onions on a bun - with the finely shredded onions adding a lot to the texture and flavor with the way they are cooked into the meat on the flat top. MOB just kicks it up a notch with their flavors and preparation. It's the best onion burger in Oklahoma to me. Oh, and don't skip the fries or their homemade tots (actual hand made not from a bag - made on the spot tater tots!) - they have mastered the art of a crispy flavorful golden fried potato that makes an unbeatable combo. Now that's a tasty greasy spoon cheeseburger. Simply made but with care..Soft bun, exceptionally juicy patty, lightly seasoned. Just oily enough to enhance flavor, made the wrapper shiny but no dripping or running. Only issues was sauteed onions are too few and their added flavor is minimal. I could barely even taste the marinade they brag about. They don't burn them into the patty here, which many including my husband say is not authentic. Still it's a very good burger. Especially with added pickle slices. Fries I didn't dig as much, too limp and overdone, tasted oily. Service is cordial enough.
