We had heard so many great things about this burger spot--especially from a neighbor who raved about it, but I ended up not liking it as much. The space is casual and reasonably clean, and it definitely gets busy during lunch. Be prepared to wait, as everything is cooked to order. I ordered the single patty combo. Our meal ended up being more expensive than other burger joints we've tried, especially since everything is à la carte--including sauces--which adds up quickly. It would've been nice if they provided a tray for the food, too. As for the burger, the beef patty lacked seasoning, so the focus really fell on the toppings--but even then, the overall flavor was pretty flat. The bun was too sweet for my taste. The fries were also a miss--more burnt than crispy. That said, their housemade sauces were a highlight. The ranch and fry sauce were both really good and added some much-needed flavor. Great burger spot that we had to try on our trip to OKC. It's right off the highway and if you're not paying attention you'll miss it. While I didn't go inside, it reminded me of a drive in type restaurant. There's a drive thru and a menu but, you order and pay at the window then they ask you to park. They bring your food out and boy oh boy it's hot and fresh!! We got a single with cheese, chicken tenders (subpar but it is a burger spot), onion rings, The Taser, and a double with double cheese. I came here after seeing so many videos of others rating it #1 as they searched for the best burger in OKC. After tasting, I'd agree! The restaurant itself has a steady flow of patrons, and the inside of the building is reminiscent of a Whataburger, except with way better food. This burger is PHENOMENAL. The buns are so delicious and different (maybe potato buns), the beef is tasty, and the veggies/cheese are always fresh. This place is amazing. It has an old drive-in feel. They have a decent sized private parking lot that is shaped like a drive in. They also have a drive through and an adequate sized dining area. The restaurant specializes in burgers. They have an assortment of signature burgers to choose from. you can get tots or fries to go with your burger. The ffries are hand-cut and looked amazing. I saw them after I had ordered tots. They also have sandwiches and chicken tenders on the menu. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. They gave off a family type vibe. They do not have table service, you have to place your order at the counter and then they wwill call your name and bring it out to you when you it is ready. I ordered a Jailhouse Blues Burger with my tots. It took about 15 minutes for my food to be brought out and it was so delicious. One of the better ones that I have ever had. It was packed with flavor and was so tatsy. It also had some size to it. I was not asking wheres the beef with this burger. This place lives up to all of its hype. They have some delicious burgers and firts class service. I am glad that I made it here and highly recommend checking this place out if you are looking for a mouth watering burger. Most of the time, I find the burgers to be "too overbearing" whether it's too unbalanced, too fatty, too meaty, or having no vegetables. Patty Wagon is one of the few burger places that I feel has the most balanced burgers. I am especially referring to their Red Dirt Burger. Juicy patty, cheddar cheese, bacon, grilled onions, lettuce, and BBQ sauce are sandwiched between brioche buns. It may sound like a lot but the combination just works to create one delicious treat. Excellent burgers combined with a fast and friendly service make Patty Wagon the burger shop to beat. To me, it has no competition. Went on a Saturday night when they were really busy. Even so, the staff was friendly and didn't appear to be overly stressed. they were also upfront that it would take about 20 minutes. It ultimately took 35 minutes to get our burgers but it was WORTH IT. Our group all agreed that those may have been the best burgers we've ever had. The buns are soft and dense and grilled on both sides. The patties were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The toppings were quality and fresh. At 2:42 PM, I finally received my food -- over an hour after placing the order -- and it was cold. Stopped by for lunch and it was amazing. I had the double burger with bacon and fried egg. I asked for a runny egg and that's just what I got. So good!!! I also had the onion rings which were obviously made there and not some frozen ones out of a bag. Additionally I stole a few fries from one of my friends and they were cooked to perfection. The only drawback is the price: my blue cheese-bacon burger was $12, but it was pretty small--about 3" across and 3/4" thick. With small (but tasty) fries and a drink, lunch came to just under $20. By far the best mushroom Swiss I've had in OKC, and possibly the best I've had. The toasted buttery buns were really good. They don't skimp on the meat either.
