This is one of those places known for what they do, and what they do... they do very, VERY well. It's simple really. Burger. Grilled onions. Cheese. Plus all the fixings. However, the flavor is somehow dialed up to 200%. For reals. It's certainly one of the best onion burgers in the area. Beware that they do command a high price, but there wont be any room to eat for the rest of the day anyways. It's a monster burger with monster flavor. Cheese oozing, and juice drippin'. This is part of the experience and I enjoyed every bite of it. Good service and experience.

My family and I were disappointed by how unclean it was. We came early at 10:30 today cause we heard about limited seating. All the A/C units had dust and grease on them. The one tv that was off had smears. The buffalo taxidermy had dust and what looked like grime on it. The flies were constantly flying around us. The bar seats had big wear and tear on them. And the floor and tables hadn't been cleaned after the breakfast crowd. The staff is at least nice and the food was good, but not great enough to understand the rating of "best burger place in Oklahoma". I was surprised to see that this place hasn't been inspected since 2024 according to the Yelp inspection report AND that it passed health inspection.

This place isn't only about the cheese burgers and fries, which are very good, it's an experience. Nic is a real character in all the good ways: friendly, talkative and polite. If you want to experience (one) part of Oklahoma, this is a good start. There might be as good or better onions burgers around (Tucker's?) but what Tucker's has in cleanliness, seating and modern interiors (see a previous review complaining about cleanliness) this place makes up in character.

Nice little place. They don't stay open for very long everyday but it is worthy to go there to get great food. The curly fries are awesome, freshly fried, crispy and not oily at all. Service is super quick. The burger is cooked to perfection. It is full of wok hei, which is caramelization to the fullest, I am not sure if I should use a Cantonese cooking term here, but they are very experienced cooks. If you need a good burger, this is place to go. Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10, the restaurant is older but it is very clean Food: 10/10

Nic & Jovon are super friendly! They been running this joint for decades! My second visit here and it's still as tasty & juicy as I remember! Worth our road trip down to OKC!

Nic's is busy for a reason. I've been trying to eat here for years and I finally got to the other day. Nic, who works behind the counter taking orders, was great. The guy who was flipping the burgers was really great, too. The one thing I will complain about is the price. I know eating out can be expensive, but in my opinion, ordering a single patty burger, French fries and a water should not cost $20, which it cost me eating here (this did not include $5 tip.)

The burgers are cooked right in front of you, the smell is intoxicating ... absolute perfection in taste

Good little spot-great grilled onions on the burger. Fries a bit mistimed for the meal-not knocking the score because of it. Thin place on the corner of Pennsylvania

Stopped in here while driving through Oklahoma on a road trip. Saw this place on the diners drive ins and dives list and thought it was worth checking out. Small and quaint exactly how it was described. There are only two options on this menu, a burger and a cheeseburger. I would have gotten more toppings like bacon or jalapeños but was never asked. All good. Burger was juicy and delicious as is. The fries left a lot to be desired. Not sure if the oil was old or what, but they had a burned taste even though they clearly were not. I'd stop by for a burger again, skip the fries.

What a tiny little gem if you're looking for a good cheeseburger and fries! Also ask Nic's if he has any of his mother's cookies available!

Ask the Community - Nic's Grill

How much are their burger and fries?

I believe it's around $11 without the drink. I think I paid around $25-$30 last time for two people for burgers, fries, and a drink each

    Where did they move to?

They are at the same location. They opened a second location.

This is a place worth an absolute flaming of a review.... But they already wasted enough of my time and energy today so I'll just summarize. No management on scene, no hostess, one server, two bartenders and a restaurant at 50% capacity on Mother's Day at 1 p.m. From walking in to having our orders taken, 30 minutes. 45 minutes later our order of roasted vegetable salad, steak eggs Benedict, and sourdough toast arrived. Salad was very well burnt but my mom was trying to be nice and didn't want to walk out. Eggs Benedict came out with two eggs boiled through, a hollandaise sauce with a sour smell and cold steak. I didn't eat it and no one seemed to notice, had it removed from my bill easy enough, but again zero F's given and no management showed daylight. Wife's toast actually arrived 5 minutes after the 'rest' of the food and the only thing hot and delicious. Toast here is $11, so there's that. No one cares here. From the health violations and poor food safety I saw in the kitchen, the multiple tables I witnessed sending back food to the multiple parties puzzled as to why they weren't being sat or once they were entirely ignored... it was so wildly bad I was embarrassed for everyone else having the same experience. Again, don't go.

The patio space in the front was very secluded and lush, we had it entirely to ourselves. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. They even brought out a water bowl with ice for our pups. I came here with a large group of about 8 of us with a reservation made early on. We were seated in a nice, private room and had an overall very lovely experience! First of all, our server Trey was just spot on with all of his recommendations. He recommended the crab cakes, the halibut, and anything that came with the spicy shrimp risotto. Our table got crab cakes to start, and this was probably my favorite dish of the evening! The crab cake was large, fluffy, and full of lump crab topped with a spicy and delicious salsa verde and pico. For the entree I ordered the halibut which was cooked well, but the side of spicy shrimp risotto definitely stole the show (as Trey accurately predicted). Most of our party ordered this and everyone was pretty happy with it! For dessert, our table shared chocolate cake and the coconut creme pie. The chocolate cake was very rich and was probably one of the best chocolate cakes I've had, and I'm not a big chocolate cake person. I still definitely preferred the coconut creme pie, which I would order again next time! Our service was fantastic for the evening, and when Trey tells you to order something, trust him and do it!

If you are not familiar with affagatos An affogato is a simple, decadent Italian dessert consisting of a scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream "drowned" in a hot shot of espresso. In Australia they add a shot of walnut liqueur. Hazlenut liqueur is an acceptable replacement for walnut liqueur as it is hard to find, espically in restrauants. MAHT has walnut liqueur.
