McJones breakfast sandwich

Just wow. We finally got in for brunch at this talked about OKC spot and I honestly don't even have the words. Everything from my Jones French 75 cocktail to our absolutely delicious entrees, I had the savory ricotta hotcake- OMG. Hubs had the McJones breakfast sandwich-same. We also split the Guinness stew because our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. But so worth it ! DELICIOUS!! Definitely order the stew with the hotcake - trust me. The entire restaurant was just the coolest experience with amazing ambience and fun vibe. Service was great. Easily one of our new favorite spots in OKC now !

Went for my birthday this February, it was an okay experience I been here for events but never sat down to eat, our waitress felt like she didn't want to be there and it felt bad trying to take time to look at the menu. The foot was mid , the cacio e pepe noodles we're a little hard , i did enjoy the Cheesecake platter so yum overall it was a 3/5 . We paid 230 and my friend paid 245. That was with cocktails .

Me and some friends went to the Jones for brunch and their St. Patty's party! It was a lot of fun and they always go all out for special events! Plus got to have my favorite food the make there, their brunch is pretty fire! The staff was all around great and very helpful! Their brunch and all their dips is where it's at.

Went here for brunch on Sunday with a large group of people. Our waiter did a really good job and there were limited mistakes. He handled it all very well. I ordered the McJones and didn't realize it was a sandwich. However, it was still really good. If you are there for brunch, do yourself a favor and get the scratch biscuits for the table. They are awesome! I'm kind of spoiled with Bloody Mary's but was pleasantly surprised at how good it was.

If you haven't tried this place you need to asap! Our service and staff was amazing they treated us with the utmost kindness. The food will be on my mind for days. The vibes inside were great. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know!

The jones assembly is a spacious dual function concept making it a great spot for large groups or a date night. It's a live music venue that also happens to be a bar and restaurant, serving some of the cities' top food. The interior is bougie hipster but not in a corny way. The food menu is a little all over the place in terms of what they serve but they do everything very well. I started with the onion rings and the dips and spreads. The onion rings were crispy and pretty standard when it comes to the onion rings. The toppings on them took it to another level though with added flavors. The dips and spreads was the best however. The bread it comes with may be one of the best breads I've ever had. Pairing it with the hummus and pimento cheese is a killer combination. For my entree I ordered the butter chicken pizza. The crust was the perfect chewiness. The butter chicken toppings had great flavor (a little dry), albeit a little more on the curry side instead of butter chicken. It wasn't enough to sway me away from thinking the pizza was top notch however.

What a great place for brunch. Decorated for the holiday and food that adds to the specialness of the season! A good selection of quality brunch items. Staff are all very attentive. The place is so comfortable which adds to the dining experience.

These are the lunch options

The atmosphere is very cool but it takes roughly 10 min just for a refill on a not very busy day, and there are not many lunch options other than 3 sandwiches.

I have wanted to try this place for a couple of years now, but every time I found myself in OKC it was closed. Welllll, was this WORTH THE WAIT! Five of us had a reservation for brunch and our table was ready when we arrived. This place was beautiful, decorated for the holidays and offered such an incredibly positive vibe. Our server, Haley, arrived with a razzle dazzle smile and suggestions for drinks to start. We started with mimosas. Thinking traditional mimosas of champagne and oj, were we surprised when she brought a bucket of champagne on ice plus three juices - orange, pineapple and cranberry. This way we could mix and match for our toasting pleasures! We shared the Dips & Spreads to start. WOW! The wood-fired dough appeared as if a little chef should pop up out of it. Hummus, tzatziki, pimento cheese rounded out this delicious beginning to one of the best meal experiences of my life. And I have eaten A LOT over my lifetime. My brother enjoyed the Winter Greens Salad with butter lettuce, apples, spiced walnuts and persimmon mustard vinaigrette, while I devoured the Avocado Toast. One of us eats clean Vegan and thoroughly enjoyed the Buddha Bowl made with couscous, sweet potatoes, avocado, chickpeas, pickled carrots and all sorts of other tasty treats. It was huge and made for leftovers later. The most delectable at the table was the Croque Madame of ham, egg, gruyere cheese, bechamel and dijon on house sourdough. OMG! Incredible. Everything we ordered, from the mimosas to Jingle All the Way cocktails to the appetizer to entrees was PHENOMENAL! Excellent cuisine, delicious drinks, amazing atmosphere and extraordinary service by Haley. If I could give this place ten stars I would. Get here!

I can't say enough good things about Jones! I had heard about this place from friends and I was so excited to go and try it for myself. First off, the vibe and decor was so casual but also like comforting millennial chic. And the food was the best part of the experience. I tried the Buddha bowl and there were just layers of texture and flavor that kept me wanting more. If I could eat here every day, I probably would. It's the perfect place to bring family, friends, or coworkers.

Food was DE-LISH-US!! My friends and I had a great time here. We all got pizza that you can taste the freshness. Walking by, I was gazing at a burger on the grill. I will be back to explore! Our server was sweet but seemed a bit challenged. To be fair, it was a busy Fri night and she did have a large table in her service. The ambiance was also nice. Cute and clean

Ask the Community - The Jones Assembly

Is this only 21 and over?

No, it's a restaurant and all ages can attend. As far as their concerts I am not sure but their website has a lot of information.

How much is valet parking on a regular night (no concert)?

Valet was $5 in 2019, for non concert nights. The last time we went, we parked in the parking structure to the west, on the same block, and it appeared there was no fee when we left. Hope this helps.

Is this pet friendly? Indoor restrictions?

You can bring your dog but only in the outside patio area (which is big). You are supposed to bring your dog through the alley area door and not the front entrance. They don't have any mask mandate at the moment.

How do you order takeout?!?

You have to go inside and sit at the bar and order through the bartender. No orders over the phone due to the volume inside the restaurant/amount of staff available

Do they have dining outside on the patio? I thought they did, but Resy doesn't give you an option to book outside seating.

Yes they do, but they don't give the option. Maybe can put it in special instructions, or call them. But it's usually just luck of the draw.

How late do they serve food on a Friday? I know they close at 2am but do they serve food until then also?

Hi there! Our kitchen is open until 10pm. Thanks!

Is there happy hour and when?

No there isn't a happy hour

What is the pricing for lunch?

Above average. I think they have a menu on their website

Is there a dress code and if so, what is it?

No dress code; it's a sexy hipster place but super casual. I've seen shorts and flip flops to evening gowns!

Appropriate for young kids?

We just had brunch there this morning and I saw families with young children, including a baby. Perhaps evenings would be less kid friendly but I saw no reason they couldn't be included for brunch/lunch.

We have general admission tickets for an upcoming concert. Where do we sit?

General admission tickets for concerts generally do not have seating. You are in the lower standing room only section.

How much should I expect to pay for the valet on a concert night?

Concert night valet is $20-$25. However the west village parking garage just west of our building is only $5!

Is it easy to get a table, or impossible without a reservation (especially on the weekends)?

I've always made a reservation. Their website has a super easy system, but I'm old so I just call ahead. The last time I was there we waited about 15 from checking in for our reservation to be seated. They have plenty of places to pre-sip while… Read more

Are there rooms for private parties?

Yes. They have an upstairs area that would be perfect for private parties and it comes with a balcony. Beautiful setting!

What is the appropriate tip for the valet?

10-15 percent

What's the dress code? Are service animals allowed?

Anything goes as far as dress! We saw some folks dressed up for Sun Brunch (came from church?), but many in shorts. The patio is dog-friendly, but I would expect the dining room must allow service animals - aren't all establishments required to?

Are dogs allowed?

Yes! Only on the outdoor patio. Please use west patio door to bring them in.

Approaching the parking lot, I noticed cars parked in an area full of shops and art expos closed…read moreduring non-business hours. I got out of my Uber, and I saw a couple walking into the main building. One would assume that everyone is there for art and passes by thinking nothing of it, but I knew there was a secret entrance waiting to be found. I tipped my Uber and walked in. The couple was gone, and all that was left were closed shops in a long wooden hallway. In the Hallway was a man in normal clothes. He said, "The lounge?" Yes, I replied, and he asked for my ID. I showed it to him, then he pointed to a black box on the wall with a moon sticker on it. I pushed it, and the wall opened like an Indiana Jones movie. First impressions are important, and I was impressed. The hidden entrance established the secrecy and exclusivity that I expected from a speakeasy. The Lunar Lounge featured a 1990s retro space theme. This included decorations and art. They had their business logo on the wall, a mural of a naked women sitting on a crescent moon with long red hair covering her private parts. There was a robot-shaped snack machine with a mini tube television for a head, static on the screen with angry black electrical tape making his eyes and mouth. The music was energetic without overpowering people's conversations. Calling ahead of time, I met with a bartender who explained to me that they had no intention of becoming a speakeasy; they wanted to create a safe place for their friends who were part of the LGBT community to express themselves out of sight of public view without fear of judgment or discrimination. Basically, meeting every requirement of a Modern Speakeasy. The owner did a good job creating a convivial atmosphere. People were friendly and socially warm in this relaxed environment. According to the Annuals of Tourism, "Convivial atmospheres are powerful in that they carry with them a transformative potential in terms of individuals' openness to and anticipation of future encounters, and their attendant feelings"(Rokka). The Hosts, therefore, created an Atmosphere catered to their intended Patrons. Even though the secret entrance and the atmosphere made this speakeasy impressive, the focus is on the drinks. Now, a bartender does not need to be a master at mixology, but for the sake of the evaluation, there are a few things people tend to look for in a drink. I personally evaluate a cocktail based on the balance of sweetness, acidity, bitterness, and aftertaste. According to the International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, "mixologists, with their aesthetic approach, contribute to transforming mixology into a form of cultural and creative expression" (Creta). I ordered a sophisticated drink from their menu, wondering what they might do differently. I ordered their Cosmopolitan, a signature cocktail. Instead of putting one shot or two shots, the bartender put a shot and a half. This made the alcohol blend in with the sweetness, not too sweet, so that someone would not drink it too fast. With the cranberry juice, he added a space candy garnish shaped like the moon, and as it dissolved, it started to dye the drink blue. After I finished the drink, I ordered it again from a different bartender, and she made it the same way. I saw consistency; all their signature cocktails looked cold, full of artistic expression, and used high-quality ingredients. Now, an argument I would consider valid concerning Speakeasies is: "A real Speakeasy is a traditional hidden room within a restaurant or cave with formal attire and with jazz music." And to a point, I would agree, but at that time, cave networks were maintained, and Restaurants were a family business where you could make a secret room without corporate overreach or whistleblowing. Those places were modern at the time. Today, Speakeasy simply means to go somewhere to drink away from the general public to speak easily. This could be two construction workers getting off work to go to an exclusive place where most union workers go to relax after work, to a private room where two politicians talk shop out of earshot of the public, or to a restaurant turning into a bar after business hours and bringing in a DJ, karaoke or actual theatre. All of these activities meet the constantly changing environment that would and could be seen in a speakeasy. Ultimately, the Lunar Lounge succeeds because it captures the cultural purpose of a speakeasy, with secret doors leading to a convivial atmosphere and well-made cocktails. Based on my data and experience at the Lunar Lounge, I would consider it a modern speakeasy. The 18th Amendment wasn't just about stopping the sales of alcohol. It was about stopping people from expressing themselves in America and spreading cultural influence. The Lunar Lounge met my basic evaluation of a speakeasy, not just the physical building, but also the Freedom of Expression that its customers enjoyed.

Fun entrance and vibe. The service was nice and friendly. Great location. Drinks were delicious. We…read morewill definitely be back.
