We had such a fun experience here! I was in town for the first time and I feel like my dinner at the jones assembly really gave me a glimpse of OKC culture. There was an OKC thunder watch party on the patio, so we sat there and enjoyed the game. The inside had a more laid back environment, but I enjoyed the patio. The food was really good too! Most of us got burgers, but we also enjoyed some good appetizers. Highly recommend the dip platter to start. Just wow. We finally got in for brunch at this talked about OKC spot and I honestly don't even have the words. Everything from my Jones French 75 cocktail to our absolutely delicious entrees, I had the savory ricotta hotcake- OMG. Hubs had the McJones breakfast sandwich-same. The jones assembly is a spacious dual function concept making it a great spot for large groups or a date night. It's a live music venue that also happens to be a bar and restaurant, serving some of the cities' top food. The interior is bougie hipster but not in a corny way. The food menu is a little all over the place in terms of what they serve but they do everything very well. I started with the onion rings and the dips and spreads. The onion rings were crispy and pretty standard when it comes to the onion rings. The toppings on them took it to another level though with added flavors. The dips and spreads was the best however. The bread it comes with may be one of the best breads I've ever had. Pairing it with the hummus and pimento cheese is a killer combination. For my entree I ordered the butter chicken pizza. The crust was the perfect chewiness. The butter chicken toppings had great flavor (a little dry), albeit a little more on the curry side instead of butter chicken. I have wanted to try this place for a couple of years now, but every time I found myself in OKC it was closed. Welllll, was this WORTH THE WAIT! Five of us had a reservation for brunch and our table was ready when we arrived. This place was beautiful, decorated for the holidays and offered such an incredibly positive vibe. Our server, Haley, arrived with a razzle dazzle smile and suggestions for drinks to start. We started with mimosas. Thinking traditional mimosas of champagne and oj, were we surprised when she brought a bucket of champagne on ice plus three juices - orange, pineapple and cranberry. This way we could mix and match for our toasting pleasures! We shared the Dips & Spreads to start. WOW! The wood-fired dough appeared as if a little chef should pop up out of it. Hummus, tzatziki, pimento cheese rounded out this delicious beginning to one of the best meal experiences of my life. And I have eaten A LOT over my lifetime. My brother enjoyed the Winter Greens Salad with butter lettuce, apples, spiced walnuts and persimmon mustard vinaigrette, while I devoured the Avocado Toast. One of us eats clean Vegan and thoroughly enjoyed the Buddha Bowl made with couscous, sweet potatoes, avocado, chickpeas, pickled carrots and all sorts of other tasty treats. It was huge and made for leftovers later. The most delectable at the table was the Croque Madame of ham, egg, gruyere cheese, bechamel and dijon on house sourdough. OMG! Incredible. We love it here! Visiting from out of town, my crew and I very much enjoyed brunch at Jones Assembly on our last trip so it was near the top of our list of places to return to. This time going for dinner, we had a grand time. First of all, shoutout to our server Duchess, who was fantastic with explaining dishes, making recommendations, checking on us frequently, and providing great service. The food was great. I went with the scallops, which were solid but the other components to the dish really put it over the top for me. Great cocktails as well. We have not yet had the pleasure of attending a music show here but it's easy to see this is a great place for it. I believe they told us their capacity is over 1,000 and they have reservable booths for these events if you're able to reserve one quickly enough. There's a seating area outside as well, and I think some upstairs. All around it's gorgeous though. This time we got lobster bisque, burgers, and our friends got an elote pizza. The lobster bisque and the burger was just alright. The fries were pretty good but the burgers alone were just okay. Lobster bisque was creamy, but wasn't your tomato based kind of traditional lobster bisque. It has a bit more spice to it from what I remember. Elote pizza was probably the best one of the night! So glad I attended a retirement celebration here and could up my review from three stars to five. (Albeit that previous review was from 5 years ago). I love this place! We met for drinks (with about twenty of us trickling in) in the bar area around five o'clock. Bartenders could not have been more helpful or accommodating or quick! I tried the Dagwood Dixie. Good sipping cocktail. Other standouts that got ordered again and again from the group were the Jones 75 (with just the right amount of kick) and Disco Nap (a berry-tequila drink). There was plenty of seating in the lounge area for us. We then went to the patio/deck area for dinner. We had a large table around the tree and another picnic sized table. Our waiter (our only server) was great, explaining the new changes to the seasonal menu and answering a lot of questions. By now, our group had grown to about 26. For the large size group, I thought service was great. We were not in a hurry at all. Around our table we tried the Dips & Spreads (always good), the Roasted Brie and the Pot Pie Croquettes. The trio dips is always a great bet but the baked brie was remarkable. I thought the pot pie bites were OK--they tasted like Thanksgiving. They were not the favorite around the table though. I ordered a glass of wine with dinner and chose the Truffle Mafaldine. Delicious. Others had the breaded pork and the scallops. The Steak Frites dish came out a little too well done. Frites were delicious though. While we dined and chatted, the dining room inside filled up. It was cool sitting on the deck because we had the outdoor feel and could see into the kitchen area. They were busy all night! The deck, however, remained uncrowded. :) So glad I returned for this experience. I have friends and colleagues who love this place. I would totally dine here again the next time I'm in OKC!! (Parking garage is close by and only $5 but upon leaving at 8:30 PM, I didn't have to pay. This was a weeknight though.) Almost forgot about dessert: we sampled the Cruller Intentions and the banoffee flavored dessert. While the first dessert, a split donut with a large slab of apple was good (tasted like the state fair in the best possible way), the banoffee dessert was amazing. I just had a sample but the coffee ice cream (shaped like a coffee bean) with the super moist banana-chocolate cake along with the caramel sauce was unbelievable. The caramel sauce was amazing! The Jones Assembly never disappoints. The wait can be a little long (today was 45 minutes for a patio table for 3), but it's worth it. And the area of OKC where the restaurant was nice enough to stroll around to kill time while we waited. The patio is great for rambunctious kiddos. They can be loud and walk around without worrying about bothering other tables, and the TVs with various sports ball events are good for keeping the man child in the party entertained. The food has never been anything less than delicious. I went with the ricotta hot take this time - huge sweet cornbread-esque hotcake, topped with spicy sweet creamed corn, a perfectly fried Nashville hot chicken breast, and a big dollop of whipped cinnamon butter. Holy moly, it's a Southern woman's dream plate. And the portion was huge, so I took half home for a second meal later. The man child said his chilaquiles burrito was perfection, and the dips and spreads (pimento cheese, tzatziki, hummus with a steaming hot fluffy mountain of bread) and the herbs frites were pretty dang good snacks for while we waited on the main act. The inside was huge and was decorated perfectly. The hostess offered us inside or outside seating. We chose inside! We came here with my mom for her birthday and we love okra, so we tried the fried okra for our appetizer. It's so different from other fried okra. This okra is not cut into small pieces. It is kept whole or cut in half at an angle and deep fried in a thick delicious crunchy batter. It comes with kind of a spicy sauce to dip in, which is so good. My mom and I got the turkey club with fries. The sauce in that sandwich is like nothing I've tasted before. It was so tasty and my mom really loved it too. The fries were amazing of course! They had herbs and garlic I think on them. You don't even need ketchup for them they are so good! My boyfriend got the Nashville chicken sandwich. He thought that was pretty good. we had to take the rest of our stuff home because we got so much food. You really get a lot of food for the money. The okra is enough for a meal on its own. It's huge and we had about half left to take home. I had them make a matcha latte with oat milk and that was pretty good. I forgot to tell them I wanted it hot and got it iced. It was still a good matcha, but prefer it hot. We told our waitress that it was my mom's birthday and she came and surprised her with some chocolate ice cream and a cookie at the end of our meal. The Jones Assembly is the pride & joy of downtown OKC - not only does it operate as a concert venue, club/lounge and hangout spot (with multiple full bars), but also serves great brunch, lunch and dinner. Their lunch options are great, especially their salads (as well as the deviled eggs appetizer), and they give you a cool leather placemat with silverware to utilize while dining. Service is also very prompt and attentive (especially from the employees that work at the bar). At night, it becomes possibly the most active location in the Film Row District. I was presented with a messy unappealing looking plate. This teeny tiny flat chicken (more skin than meat), a huge wad of green sauce? and four measly carrots. The flavor of my teeny tiny chicken wasn't bad. The green stuff was alright. I ordered a side salad that came out SWIMMING in salad dressing. I know y'all know what I mean when I say my salad was soggy. I didn't eat or bother to send it back bc by that point I was ready to just go home. I will say, the Brie was good, even if it came with a paltry three strings of caramelized onions and three gI guess they're trying to maximize profit while proving the absolute bare minimum of presentation. Maybe they can save on costs by reducing the volume of salad dressing they use instead of cutting corners in other ways. The booths are beautiful and gotta love the birds of paradise plants that decorate the dining area. The best ambience for brunch! The food was good but nothing to write home about. - Cacio e Pepe wings (5/5) was a unique twist to chicken wings and would highly recommend. Buffalo sauce was unnecessary addition. Another sauce would complement better - Hash money (3/5) a hearty dish that had so much potential but ended up just being a very basic biscuits and gravy was nothing special - flat tire pizza (3/5) had so much potential but didn't deliver. Something was really dry about the pizza. There could've been so much flavor with the rosemary and chives but oddly lacked the final punch. - puppy chow latte (2/5) did not get the puppy Chow flavor at all.
