Blackened catfish on top of grits

Very imPRESSed!!!!! to say the least. This is like my backyard over here grew up as a kid right down the street and to see how things have changed and to watch this Plaza grow is really inspiring. Now onto the food I've eaten here several times, but this is by far the best thing that I've had the black and catfish was so good! Our awesome bartender gave me the great suggestion because you know I love Cajun food lol the service was really amazing! And you know you can't go wrong with the vibe of this place for a breakfast brunch or dinner! Love coming here

The press is a comfort food staple in OKC! A gem in the plaza district with sweet vibes! While it's not your grandma's flavor, it's decent American comfort food with a modern vibe! Great place for family dinner or lunch with friends! The service is pretty good and the food is always ready in good timing!

We've eaten at the Press several times recently and it was delicious both times. Great service even though we were on the back patio furthest from the door. Everyone's drinks we good, and the food even better.

We had dinner at The Press in Oklahoma City around 8:30 p.m. and found it to be a real gem. The restaurant was quiet and tastefully decorated, with a couple of TVs by the bar that weren't at all distracting. Our server, Taylor, was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. On her suggestion, we both ordered the pot roast, and oh my goodness... it was incredible. Pure comfort food at its finest. We couldn't stop raving about it! Taylor also mentioned that their Cobb salad and quesadillas are phenomenal, and I have no doubt the rest of the menu has plenty of winners. She noted the place is often quite busy and lively earlier in the evening, which I was glad to hear because a spot this good deserves a long, successful run. Great service, wonderful atmosphere, and absolutely delicious food. The Press has my full endorsement.

Impressed with their comfort food! The restaurant has a very cozy family atmosphere. We got there during a super busy time but were seated very quickly. I got the chicken sandwich and my bf got the steak and both of the meals were yummy!

This may be one of the best restaurants in town when accounting for multiple things like decent Southern options, flavor, consistency, price, and lastly, value (i.e., quality with respect to price). The Press Cobb may be one of the better salads (if not the best) in town. Filling, flavorful, and packed full of good ingredients; something to be especially appreciated in this shrinkflationary economy where every other restaurant bilks you by either cutting portions/ingredients while also simultaneously jacking prices up. Also, their fries are truly delightful. Honestly, I've never had a bad thing yet. Never change, the Press. My heart would probably break because you're like... one of three reliable (reliable in the sense that you can trust that you won't be disappointed) local restaurants at this point.

Fun little place to grab some food with your friends and family. As you wait in line to place your order you can look at the menu and drool over the baked goods by the cashier.. The menu has several options from light to hardy and everything in between. They even offer some seasonal favorites. You're sure to find something that you'll love!!

I love The Press but we went here for a group lunch and they were out of several things so I finally ordered the veggie burger and sweet potato tots. The tots are my favorite. The service was slow and our food was not hot or even warm. We also went for brunch last weekend and had the burrito(no tortilla) and tacos and it was not great.

The Press has a very young serving team so we give them grace. My table of 4 was sat about 10-15 minutes before a large sport group showed up, they were tended to first and with a bit more care. It took about 10 minutes to even get water on the table. Just some things to work on. As far as the food, the shrimp and grits was amazing, I added a piece of the super crispy catfish for some razzle dazzle. Star of the show! My friends enjoyed their catfish & grits & the hot honey chicken sandwich . The quesadilla was VERY oily. Glad I was able to give this place a try. Great for latge groups atleast!

This is only my second time ever eating at The Press, but it's beloved comfort food! It was years ago, but I distinctly remember enjoying the buffalo Mac and cheese. So it made an impact! We had 2 servers checking on us, so service was great. My colleague even got fresh chips to-go with her queso. It's located a little in a back alley, but has great indoor and outdoor seating. I was also excited to snag a parking spot right in front because parking in that area is pretty limited. My catfish was delicious. The cheddar grits were the best part!

Great food and the back patio was perfect for dining with 3 small children. They had gluten free bread, which was a bonus for our daughter.

The patio space in the front was very secluded and lush, we had it entirely to ourselves. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. They even brought out a water bowl with ice for our pups. We loved our drinks. My espresso martini was boozy and not too sweet with a love whipped topping on top. Her Road to Hana was very refreshing and the pineapple tajin garnish hit the spot. Quick shout out to the dinner rolls and butter. I was starving so this held me over while our shareables came out. The Spicy Caesar was nice, loved the hit of heat that came with it. The Chicken Pepperjack Strudel, a signature dish, was really really good. Just wish it was warmer in the center but yea definitely order this. Juan's queso is not a typical queso dish. First, it's real cheese and it comes with a black bean puree, salsa verde, and avocado thinly sliced on top. We loved it, especially my wife. I came here with a large group of about 8 of us with a reservation made early on. We were seated in a nice, private room and had an overall very lovely experience! First of all, our server Trey was just spot on with all of his recommendations. He recommended the crab cakes, the halibut, and anything that came with the spicy shrimp risotto. Our table got crab cakes to start, and this was probably my favorite dish of the evening! The crab cake was large, fluffy, and full of lump crab topped with a spicy and delicious salsa verde and pico. For the entree I ordered the halibut which was cooked well, but the side of spicy shrimp risotto definitely stole the show (as Trey accurately predicted). Most of our party ordered this and everyone was pretty happy with it! For dessert, our table shared chocolate cake and the coconut creme pie. The chocolate cake was very rich and was probably one of the best chocolate cakes I've had, and I'm not a big chocolate cake person. I still definitely preferred the coconut creme pie, which I would order again next time! Our service was fantastic for the evening, and when Trey tells you to order something, trust him and do it!

Sorry, got carried away with the catfish and forgot to take a photo of the egg rolls. The egg rolls were OK, but over fried.
