Such a fun place to sit and relax! The retro yet hipster patio made you feel super casual to just enjoy company! The food was So good! You quickly ordered at the bar and before you knew it, it was being delivered to your table! Patio is smoke & pet friendly... with that being said, if you're not huge on cigarette smoke, be prepared to move tables or contemplate coming. I'm not a huge fan of being able to smell or taste smoke so close to me while eating but we just loved a table over and it was a good distance to not let it ruin our time. Oh the drunken nights I've had here... Their tiki drinks are really fun. I respect the Oklahoma beers on tap. Some drunk tater tots or chips and queso can really hit the spot. Lots of people bring their dogs which can be fun. Easy to bring a larger group here, since they have a good amount of seating and fun big picnic tables outside. Also, any bartender that treats me well when I not soberly ask toward the end of the night what their cheapest beer is is a good bartender in my book (It's a $2.50 Coors Lite fyi). read more

Every mixed shot I ordered had wrong ingredients in it - green tea had pineapple juice in it, the white teas were purple and tasted like they had rumple in it, my mules were made with lemon juice. Service started out ice cold at this retro and somewhat divey hipster bar, but warmed up as the night went along. The Indie music overhead was just loud enough. Pride flags fly all over behind the bar to signal their tribe. They still use annoying pandemic holdover QR-code menus. The large patio is the biggest draw here and great for groups. Cocktails were pretty good, some better than others. I had two $9 drinks -- the tiki one, ugh, too boozy. But their kiwi margarita was much better, nicely balanced and super yummy. Food was even better and priced right. Their house burger was a good, solid effort with a great medium rare cook. It had some melt in your mouth action going on that I liked, and a great bun. Though it could use a little acid, maybe pickles, and better sauce. The accompanying tots were perfectly crisp and not one bit greasy. Their Tuesday special $4 tacos were hit and miss -- skip the chorizo and black bean (lacked flavor) and go with the very tasty jalapeño ranch chicken taco. Dining room is small and warm due the doors being constantly opened to the hot patio. They weren't very busy tonight but still forgot to bring the condiments we asked for. I know what you're probably thinking: "I mean how hard can tots be?" Trust me...try them. Get extra aioli if you're into it. And just see for yourself. And...excellent staff. The staff works really hard to be accommodating even on their busiest nights. I've seen people get snippy with bartenders over wait times and that's pretty unfair. This is a really neat bar. They have a decent selection of drinks. However, their hours are listed wrong on here and Google apparently. My friend and I were rushed out at midnight when we saw the bar was open until 2am. When we went inside to throw our drinks out, because all the trash cans were taken inside, we were yelled at by one of the bartenders who was counting their drawers in front of the bar. The coolest bar in the paseo district. The pump looks small but spacious bar located off 23rd street. The place is perfect for hanging out with friends in an outside area. I love coming here with friends after work. They have a casual environment which perfect after a long day. The bartenders are always friendly and give great suggestions to drink. They have a food menu which is great! I've tried their wings before and it is always a joy. The restrooms play Harry Potter which is fun but they do have large gaps at the doors and are sometimes a little dirty. Overall you'll find interesting people here and are granted to run into someone you know. read more

The time and menu finally worked out for me and man was it worth the wait. First of all let's talk about the building. It's an open gas station looking building with semi indoor seating and lots of out door seating. Get this, the bathrooms are in what looks to be an airstream! So cool! My food was delicious! This is a hipster paradise in a hip remodeled gas station. This place inspired us to start a local pub crawl (after a few rounds of tasty drinks) and check out the rest of the area. Horrible experience, although the layout is great. I walked in and did not know where to be carded, so I approached two young ladies and asked if they were the ones Id'ing the guest. One of them (which I later find out name was Emily or Emma) says to me "well duh" as I was reaching for my wallet. I was waiting for a few friends and chose to sit in the middle of the outdoor area under the tree. About 15 minutes goes by and my friends show up and we go inside to order a few drinks. Once we get our drinks we go to the outside of the bar on the side and set up the corn hole game. I was unaware of how far we should place the boards (while also not wanting to cause interference with the walk area) I asked the same lady at the front "is this an ok area to place the boards and she responds "dude, I don't know" which caught me off guard. There was however another young lady that proceeded to help me set them up. As the game with my guy friend was going, his girlfriend said she wanted to play, but did not want for me to sit out, so I told her I would try and find another girl to join us. When I turned around, I noticed a lady that had looked at me and smiled a few times while I was sitting under the tree, so I asked her if she wanted to join us. (she was standing just outside of the railing of the bar) when she turned, I noticed that she was on the phone and mentioned "I did not know you were on the phone and proceeded to attempt to apologize to her. As I was doing so, the same lady (Emily or Emma) at the front yells "Dude, she doesn't fucking want you, stop hitting on her" and at this point (three encounters with her) I had had enough. So I approached her and asked what her problem was. and she tells me that I had been bothering people all night a said I was drunk. Granted, by beverage was siting on the side table and I had only taken one sip of it. As I did not want her to feel intimidated (she was much smaller than me) I asked her if I could speak with a manager, or a male that worked at the establishment. (she was being aggressive and I did not want to respond in kind) she told me "dude, it ain't all that serious" and told me to "walk the fuck off" so which I declined and insisted to speak with a manager. My friend then approaches and begins to apologize for the situation, and I tell him "not to apologize for me" He looks at me dumbfounded and says that he knows something must have happened because he knows how polite I am. His girlfriend then tells me to forget about it and to enjoy the evening. As we resume playing corn hole, and then after being told its not that big of a deal and to walk off, I then here the lady at the front speaking with two other women just behind me. The one says (Emma or Emily) "thats him right there, the one that was being rude" and as I turn around, I see them both pointing at me and with a bit of a look of disgust. So I approach and stated "excuse me young lady, are you the manager" (as she looked a bit younger than me) she responds "don't call me that" so I apologize and say "I'm sorry miss, but are you the manager" she says dont call me that. dubmfounded, I say again " I am sorry ma'am, I did not mean to offend. to which she responds by saying "don't call me that either, as a matter of fact, don't call me anything that's endearing" This is when I just asked to get my money back for my drink. I was then told by her, "it ain't that serious, and you should just drop it and go back to doing what you were doing" I do not care to go into anymore detail, but this was a failed evening while back in OKC. It is very upsetting when I was approached in such a manner from the moment I walked into the establishment. LUUUUURRRRRVVVVEEEEEE!!!! Everything about this bar is fan effing tastic! The interwebz recommended The Pump to me while I was in town for work. This bar ended up being a place out of my dreams! The drink menu looked great and my coworkers wanted fruity drinks so I said we should go here due to their tiki drink list. It ended up being a hit! I loved the entire theme of this place! Retro gas station, is that a thing? If so, The Pump has knocked it out of the park. Sprawling patio surrounds the small inside bar. Bonus? DOGGO FRIENDLY!!! I had no idea so was beyond ecstatic to pet all teh doggoz. It was a little chilly out so we decided to sit inside, but it wasn't closed off by any means with big open doorways to the outsideland. The inside decor was amazing complete with retro sparkly blue chairs and booths. If I could've taken one of those chairs home with me, I absolutely would have! Giant retro chandelier and lots of old school toys really made this place dazzle! Service was great, all the servers we interacted with were very friendly and helpful! The drink list (as expected) was great and prices very reasonable! I got the cucumber type drink followed by the Black Betty. One coworker sipped on that tiki punch while the other had a few other fancy cocktails. Everything was very well crafted! They had a nice little cocktail food menu as well but we were going elsewhere for dinner. OMG the bathrooms!!! Total industrial style and I laughed a lot at Harry Potter being streamed over the speakers in the bathrooms. I also giggled at the sky blue toilet (turned into an ash tray) sitting outside the bathrooms. That side of the patio was great with cornhole and a fire pit too! Oh and more doggos, of course. The Pump is an iconic (off) 23rd Street bar. They have a great patio in front and even an enclosed patio out back. One of us ordered blueberry sausage but sadly there was no flavor of blueberries. I ordered the bacon which was really good. I had a poinsettia (a mimosa with cranberry juice.) They have a single for $2 and a double for $4. They also have seasonal bubbles, which is seasonal purée with champagne for $6. This place is all energy. It has a fun vibe. There is music playing, but not so loudly you have to yell. The Pump is my favorite bar in OKC. Not only do they have one of the best Old Fashioneds, but their fried Tacos and tots are delicious. Crispy fried taco shells are filled with savory meats so succulent, juices drip down your cheek. Paired with a side of elotes, you can't go wrong. The tots are in a category of their own. These perfectly-fried pillows of love burst with flavor as you pop them in your mouth. Try not to moan too loud. You will scare the "sane." Wanna up the ante? We were at the Pump last night and there was a guy creeping on one of my friends. I was trying to physically block this guy from my friend, but he was persistent - even hovered over my shoulder from behind me to try to get to her. Despite how busy it was, one of the bartenders noticed this and came out from behind the bar. It seemed like he asked the guy to leave us alone. I couldn't hear the actual exchange, but the guy did walk away. The guy still didn't give up because he tried again shortly after, but the same bartender escorted him outside and he left the bar. Unwanted interactions like that happen frequently, but attentiveness and quick response from staff doesn't always happen when we've been out at other places. We're thankful for the great service from the Pump staff and their attentiveness to keep customers safe! read more
