They do have a few menu items that are a little more unique for those who are a little more adventurous. My waitress was very patient and helpful because I could t decide on a few items. Since the Santa Fe location is in limbo and currently closed, we tried the Bryant location. The place was busy for Sunday brunch. We had the same server as at the Santa Fe location which was good as we knew to expect good service. This location is large and open with hard surfaces. It was a bit louder and more hectic than the other location. My Cobb omelet was very good except for the chunks of chicken which don't belong in an omelet, IMO. My wife could not finish the large pancakes. The coffee seemed a little weak. Our experience was ok and this location is closer to our church, but we both prefer the Santa Fe location (hope it re-opens). read more

"Meh" describes Joey's pretty well. I'm a hard pass on returning to this place. We went for brunch. They seated 4 of us at a table for 8 even though there were tables available that would have allowed us to actually speak to each other - which is difficult because the room is loud. Then there's the food. 2 of us had menu items which included Hollandaise sauce. The orders came to the table in a timely manner, but the hollandaise did not taste like hollandaise. It was a bland white sauce with a yellow tinge bearing only a slight visual resemblance to Hollandaise but tasting nothing like it. The eggs were expertly poached, but I don't need to go out for a bland poached egg. My son had chicken and waffles. No syrup. Just their hot honey, which was OK when added to the corned beef hash, but my son ate his chicken and waffles dry. No big deal because the chicken seemed to be fresh from the Costco chicken strips bag via Joey's fry cook. They served potatoes with each dish. The honestly were mushy with no hint of any browning or crispy. They tasted OK, but I can make them better at home. Their hash browns were... Hash but not so brown. They also seemed to have some flour or something on them and tasted slightly fishy. I had a bite or two of them and set them aside. The egg "cordon Bleu" was bland and served on a croissant that seemed to be from Costco or some other grocery. The coffee was better than Starbucks, but then again so is a mug of gasoline The food here is edible. It's calories you can swallow. But Edmond has a lot of places to eat and I see no reason to spend your hard earned dollars here on bland food in a loud room when there are other places available that are serving tasty meals. I have been here a couple of times before and so this visit was a bit of a surprise. One hostess and two servers but the servers apparently didn't feel like serving. We were ignored for ten minutes until the hostess returned to take our order. We did watch as these two servers hovered over one table in particular. Not sure how they acquired gold label service. There were five tables occupied including us when we arrived, hardly a difficult job for one server let alone two. But the hostess needed to step up while these two sat, at a table, or socialized with this one gold label table. Soon two other tables filled with patrons and the hostess was in action again providing menus and water. But we've been here nearly twenty minutes and no orders have been taken at the new tables. One fellow has been here five minutes now with no attention. In the end all of the new tables were serviced by Sara, our hostess. She did a fantastic job and the food was on point. So the kitchen was doing their job. I don't know what kind of power struggle was going on with the other two ladies and truly I don't care. Keep that ish in the back of the house. It should not be on display for the customers. And if you have time to sit? Someone doesn't need to be on the clock. And on a day when there isn't a heavy dining room? Inexcusable. Do better. The ambience is perfect. It's quiet enough to actually have a conversation with another person. It's one of my absolute favorite spots in Edmond. Horrible! Had a Reuben sandwich, the corned beef was rotten. Yes, rotten! They served old bitter coffee. Cream for my coffee came in a dish that was so dirty it hadn't been cleaned in ions. Had a side salad the lettuce was wilted and the cheese tasted like a refrigerator. I requested mayonnaise for my burger-wasn't chancing another rotten reuben-the mayonnaise container was gross. hadn't been cleaned in months. It's the little things but in this case it adds up to a bad experience. I looked around and the window where we were seated had smudges and fingerprints like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. As we left, noticed that the entrance door was filthy, too. This used to be a clean restaurant with great food. Now it explains why there were ver few people in the restaurant. Save yourself from food poisoning and try another restaurant. read more

The waitress was super friendly and kept coming over to top off coffee! Big and spacious with lots of seating. I ordered the Cobb omelette for $12, which was huge and came with hashbrowns, fruit, and two pancakes. I took home enough for a whole nother meal. The hashbrowns were crispy, the omelette was alright (nothing exceptional in flavor and the chicken bits were dry), and the pancakes were a little rubbery. So, once again the wifey and I decided to enjoy a nice breakfast out. This time, at Joey's Cafe in Edmond. Upon entering, we waited about a minute or so before being greeted and seated. Not how I would've preferred our experience to begin, but not the biggest deal. Once we were led to our table, we were moments later greeted by our waitress, Jennifer. She seemed pretty cool. Not the most personable, but not the worst either. My wife and I ordered our drinks. I won't speak for my wife, but I ordered an ice water and orange juice to begin with. What would come next was not particularly pleasing. My wife and I weren't quite ready to place an order yet. It was our first time eating at Joey's and we wanted to take our time in considering what culinary delicacy we wanted to pick from the menu. Well, after asking for a moment to look it over, it would be another approximate 10 minutes before Jennifer would return to take our order. In a restaurant, during a not-too-busy time, anything over 5 minutes seems like a lifetime. Once Jennifer did return, I ordered the Country Fried Steak and Gravy with Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs, Fruit and a side of Chicken Sausage. Now, I must say. The last few times I ordered country fried steak, I spoke of how tender they were. I didn't think it could be any more tender than the last time. I was wrong! This time is now the best time. It was O-SO TENDER! I didn't even need a steak knife to cut through it. The butter knife practically fell through it, piece by piece. It almost seemed as though it was precut. The scrambled eggs and fruit were delicious, and the pancakes, though not the fluffiest, were decent. I'd never eaten chicken sausage before today, but it was surprisingly quite tasty. I can't complain much about any of the food. It was, as they say, the breakfast of champions! Jennifer did make sure my wife's and my drinks were topped off about two-thirds of the way through our meals and that our food was to our liking. She did her job, but I think she could have been little more attentive, perhaps a bit more personable. That can at times really make the difference between a so-so and o-so great experience, but such is life. All in all, I'd say if you're looking for a quiet and cozy place to eat a good breakfast, Joey's Cafe is not a bad choice. Just don't expect to be made to feel like you're that 100th customer. We went to Joey's on for a special weekday lunch coworker get together. I wasn't so sure what to expect, just hoped for the best. I have to say, I was completely impressed! They absolutely nail the Reuben sandwich. A good Reuben has just the right amount of corned beef, strong cheese presence, a zingy-tangy sauce, not too much, and a crispy, not too greasy bread. This sandwich was a 10/10. It came with some seasonal fruit. I also got a side salad. It was a good standard salad with just the right amount of tasty croutons. We've been to this location twice now and are not impressed. We had bad service the first time and our service today was even worse. They get 2 stars only because the food is -usually- good and the coffee is good as well. Today we ordered our food and told Claribel O. exactly what we wanted. I told her I wanted plain grits and my son wanted no avocado on his sandwich. Instead, I got cheesy grits and my son had avocados on his sandwich. She never came back to refill our drinks unless we flagged her down. She barely came back at all if she wasn't dropping off food. My husband asked her for ice with his water and she only brought water. I told her 3 times that we needed 2 sides of Ranch. After the 2nd time, she brought 1 Ranch. I had to tell her again that we needed one more. It was just a bunch of little things like this the entire time- repeatedly having to ask for things that we told her we'd need when we placed our order. Then, when I'm eating my Burrito, I see a short, brown hair in the potatoes. My hair is very long and goes down to my lower back, so I knew it wasn't mine. I am grossed out and my husband tells her what I found. She laughs and walks off. Doesn't say a word. Doesn't do anything. No apology, nothing. The food (sometimes) and clean restrooms are the only redeeming features here. We called the manager after we left to tell him what kind of employee he has representing his company and all he could do was apologize, which he did. Honestly, I doubt we'll be back. I haven't reviewed Joeys? We're here at least once a month for breakfast. The coffee is ground fresh and we can usually get away while the kids are in school. I am a fan of their breakfast potatoes and sausage. My husband prefers the bacon and pancakes. The quality ingredients keep the price reasonable for us. Generally good service and they have a manager there that watches the floor very well. We've never had an issue that wasn't taken care of. Parking is tight as you first approach but I can usually find a spot around the side. They also have limited patio seating if you can catch Oklahoma weather on a good day. read more

I got the pot roast sandwich which was pretty good. Came with a consume that was decent. Nothing special but good enough. My sister got a Cobb salad that she said was really good. My mom enjoyed her mushroom and swiss burger as it was hand made there, not a frozen preformed patty. Server was nice and they were quick getting us fed. I wouldn't hesitate to eat Joeys again, but probably wouldn't drive across town to do it. read more

Stopped by here w the family before a softball game and the menu looks legit. I nabbed the eggs Benedict and the wife nabbed the Louie. The eggs were cooked perfectly so high five in that! Hollandaise was legit and very good and they didn't skimp! We nabbed the fruit but prob should nabbed the taters or the hash browns. Well I did it. I found the worst patty melt in town. The sandwich was soggy, the meat was cold and dried out, the onions were tasteless and I had asked for mushrooms on it but none with it. If the sandwich wasn't bad enough the fries that came with it were cold and stale. The food was the good part of the meal. The waitress I had struggled the entire time. It wasn't just me. There was another couple next to me that when their food came to the table they didn't have any silverware and it took awhile to chase some down. Then they asked for ketchup and she brought them an empty bottle. I was in Edmond to do some handyman work for my daughter and saw this Cafe. I was really hoping it was going to be better than it was. Overall grade "D". I don't think I'll try it again. read more

We went back for breakfast and loved it! The wait staff was great! I had the corned beef hash, I could order my poached eggs to any texture, a pleasant surprise, the hash was a fantastic mix of shredded corned beef and country potatoes with a perfect mix of crisp and soft potatoes. There was a bearnaise sauce listed on the menu with the dish, I ordered it on the side as I've never had it with corned beef hash, it was a delicious combination!! The fruit option wasn't the ordinary melon mix, it was pineapple, oranges, and blueberries. All fresh and delicious! My husband had the hash omelet, which he loved, along with a short stack of blueberry pancakes instead of bread (absolutely worth the extra $1 for the fruit in the pancakes). Once inside it's a beautiful open space with televisions and adequate seating. Again its Saturday so I expect the crowds. Once seated we ordered quickly because we've had a chance to check out menu. I ordered cobb omelet, hubby ordered pancakes, sausage and eggs. Heres the problem. It took over 1 hour before we got our food. The waiter explained our wait time about 30mins and apologized profusely. After 55mins she said I'm sorry not sure when your order is coming. In the meantime we ordered a cinnamon roll just to eat on something and frankly after waiting for 50mins I'm committed to getting my food. First off cinnamon roll was cold and hard. Second once we received food pancakes, cold, hard and gummy taste. Cobb omelet was good..hot and filled with bacon, reason for 2 stars and also the waitress was phenomenal considering she couldn't control timing of food. The pancakes we left on the table and got to go boxes. Joey's please get it together. Maybe you were overwhelmed with crowd. I saw several people get up and leave after waiting for so long. I saw several meals going straight from kitchen to trash because customers left. I'd consider returning because the wait staff was so kind and personable in a tough situation. read more

Went there today for lunch after an appointment because we were in the area. My husband and I were seated quickly. It wasn't busy at the time. I ordered coffee and water. My husband ordered a coke. I got my water and was so thirsty I took a big gulp and almost vomited. My water taste like bleach!! It burned my throat and made my stomach upset. Took a while to flag down the server but he brought me back a new water saying in broken English he doesn't know he got same ice and water and to try again. I ordered a Diet Coke instead. I still had the taste in my mouth so it pretty much ruined my meal from the start and then it got worse!. Husband got a vegetable beef soup and the soup had thin lunch meat in it as the "beef" not actual beef. He liked the broth though. I got the key lime chicken salad and the dressing wasn't even key lime, it was orange something. The chicken breast was cut in a couple strips and laid across the top of my salad. I had to use the butter knife to cut my chicken into small bites and the bowl it was in slid salad out all over me as I was trying to cut it. The chicken was bland. My husband went to the restroom and he couldn't go to the bathroom because it was so foul smelling/dirty in there. I don't think I've been to a worse place for lunch. High prices for bland garbage. Great brunch place! Everything we had was delicious and incredibly fresh. The atmosphere was open and airy with friendly and attentive service. The menu had a nice selection of breakfast and lunch options at incredibly reasonable price points, especially for the quality of food served. Waitstaff was sufficient, not overly helpful or friendly, but quickly brought our food. Pricing was average. Their website really promotes Joey's being owned by a high-end chef. The food did not live up to that billing. I ordered the homemade corned beef hash. Very simply it was homefries with chopped up lunch meat. FINALLY OPEN!! We ate at the new Joey's in N Edmond. Same great food and more than pleased to be greeted by Billie, my favorite server from the Edmond South location. A suggestion for management. We are in our 90's and do not eat all that much and Joey's piles it on. We always end up taking half of it home. I would love to have that great food in Seniors portions at a lower price and not take any home. We would eat there a lot more often with a senior menu. read more
