This is a very cute smoothie and açaí bowl shop in an unassuming small shopping center in the village. It's a lot bigger than you would expect. There is the main dining room and bar where you order and to the side there is a room where kids can play and even a large outdoor area that is shaded with a huge tree and lots of sitting areas. I was going to order an açaí bowl (they have GF granola upon request) but opted for an Açaí Smoothie with Peanut Butter and Oat Milk. It's pretty sweet and I doubt it's all that healthy, but I can pretend. They don't sell bottled water but they have filtered water and will provide a plastic cup with ice. I really love all of the options here! It's a great space for a meet up that's a little different than a typical coffee shop. With all of the smoothie and bowl options along with a full coffee menu, I love inviting people here when I need to meet at a spot on the northside. I get a quad Americano on the daily and I like to check out different spots but I can't find another coffee shop in OKC that charges me more than $6 for the same drink so I won't be returning. read more

Modern Barry was a cool little coffee shop my sister-in-law took me too while visiting Oklahoma. I ordered the Chai latte which did not disappoint. There were 2 young girls working the counter late teans possibly early 20s and had the personalities to match. The girls weren't rude but didn't know how to interact with other human people. This is just an observation though and did not take away from the overall experience. The place has a chill vibe and the drink was delicious. I'll definitely stop by again when in Oklahoma. read more

We came here based on a recommendation from local friends. This is a very quaint and clean shop. We stopped in just before lunch on a weekday, and it was not too busy. The acai bowl was fresh, and the hot chocolate beverage was sweet and warm. The service was average, but we were disappointed they could not deliver on the customized art for the hot chocolate despite paying extra for it. The staff claimed the machine was not working properly and they could lot fix it. We may stop in again if ever in The Village or Lake Hefner area. read more

This place is so cute!! I can't believe we haven't dropped by sooner honestly. The interior is adorable and super peaceful too. I can see coming by this place to study with a nice cup of coffee and a snack. We got a few coffees to start with, the mocha latte, maple latte, and a lavender latte. All SO good. I'm not the biggest fan of mocha lattes because they always tend to be too sweet, but this one was perfect. Not too sweet and had the perfect amount of chocolate. We got a berry bowl and a croissant special as well. Berry bowl was refreshing and delicious. The croissant was a relatively good snack too. But above all the customer service was great!! They were very accommodating to us and our dogs who came along for our little cafe getaway and opened up the patio area for us. Love the food, love the service, and love the ambience. Stumbled upon this new gem in my neighborhood! It's quiet, a great place to study. There are bar stools, tables, outlets, and free Wi-Fi! The manager was very helpful in deciding what to order. I went with the thin mint latte, not exactly the taste of thin mint-- but more like a peppermint patty haha. Still delicious! Next time I'll have to opt for a half sweetened version. They also serve housemate salads, smoothing bowls, and other healthy snacks. For beverages other than coffee; they offer tea and blended smoothies! There's a small parking lot, but doesn't appear to be a heavy traffic location. Love this space already! read more

There is a nice outdoor patio with tables, chairs and benches and greenery. We enjoyed the following items: *Seasonal Toast* the seasonal toast (October) was honey ricotta on toast with apples, cinnamon, caramel, and almonds. My son loved this as well! The flavors were so balanced and very Fall-vibes...it felt like dessert but healthy! *Baby Pitaya bowl* a smaller sized smoothie bowl perfect for toddlers/kids. It had a Pitaya (dragon fruit) base and granola on top. *Matcha Latte* I ordered a hot matcha latte...warning on the matcha if you want to get latte art on this it won't show up as nice as it would on a regular latte. This latte was so delicious...quality matcha! *Reeses Frappuccino* my husband ordered this because he loves sweet frappes...it satisfied his craving and he said it tasted like exactly like Reese's chocolate *Latte Art* I sent in a pic of my son's face, and for $1 extra they printed it on the matcha but it didn't show up too well, so the friendly barista offered to print it out again on white foam for free so I could get a pic! I want to give this place a better score bc the food and drink are good. But the mobile order ahead is a joke. Today is the 2nd time I've ordered well ahead of arriving and my order is never ready when I arrive. Last time I actually had to wait in line behind multiple other customers, then Let the staff know at the counter I had a mobile order id placed 15 minutes earlier. I waited another 10 minutes to get my order as the patrons who were ahead of me in line all received their order first Today I gave it another chance and again my mobile order wasn't ready despite that the place was completely empty and no one waiting ahead of me .... I got an acai bowl topped with fresh blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries! It came drizzled with honey and had a thin layer of granola. Disclaimer -- I moved here from Orange County, where acai bowls are just really really good. So I have been pretty spoiled in my life! With that said, the bowl was super tiny for $10! I was surprised by how small the bowls are!! I did really appreciate the heaping topping of fresh berries, but I would have expected to pay around $7 for the portion size. I thought there was a bit too much honey drizzled on top, and the acai wasn't very flavorful. However it was better than at least one other acai place I've been to in Edmond, and I did appreciate the fresh berries. Overall, I rated this place 4 stars because of the variety of seating and drink and food options. I thought the acai bowl was decent for OKC, but the portion size was just super super tiny. read more

I love the idea of smoothie bowls but I have a lot of fruit allergies, bananas being a big one. Unfortunately, with most smoothies and smoothie bowls, banana is in almost every one. Not here! I came here because it is one of the few açaí places that has seating for studying, which is about the only reason why I didn't give this place a 1 star. The açaí seems to come pre-poured into the bowl and frozen, which means it is just hard like ice. Not smooth at all. Second, the bowl is very small for $10. There is very little açaí actually in it. Finally, I'm not sure how this is possible, but the strawberries and bananas don't actually taste like anything. At first I thought it was because they were cut so thinly, but I don't think this is it. The fruit is extremely bland. I did not try the coffee so I cannot speak to that, but for a place called Modern Berry, if their berries are not good I would not have a lot of faith in the coffee. Good food, great ambiance and really pleasant and quick service. We got the matcha latte and thin mint latte. The thin mint latte was really good. The matcha latte had some lumps in it. It wasn't fully dissolved but when I brought it to the lady's attention. She made me a new one, using a different brand she had. The matcha isn't sweet. We also had the seasonal dish which was toast with cranberry jam, whipped goat cheese and nuts. I felt like the cheese was overpowering. My wife got the croissant with Nutella and banana. Can't go wrong with that. Place is clean and inviting but wanted to bring to attention their service. Not sure if she was the owner but she was very very kind and pleasant. Very cute new coffee place. I met a friend here this morning for catching up on life. I was greeted by someone who didn't seem like a morning person, but they were kind enough. I ordered a matcha latte and the daydream bowl. The matcha latte was good, I added vanilla syrup so it's not so bitter. Pretty smooth drink. Their daydream bowl was chewy. The acai part of the bowl was frozen, with the nut butter on top, so it made the nut butter pretty solid. The granola was a little tough, but the fruit was fresh and sliced nicely thin. I'd probably not get a bowl next time, I'd like to try their sandwiches. Their space was clean with plenty of tables at 9 am on a cold Saturday and was still not busy at 11 am when I left. Their bathrooms are clean and cute, with fruit painted on the walls. Their Wifi passwords are printed and on every table. You may bus your own dishes, or leave them when you depart. I noticed their bar seating had hooks under the bar, which I considered very thoughtful of their audience. I will definitely be back once I'm in the area again! read more

A big lover of açaí bowls here! My boyfriend and I stopped by for some bowls and we're immediately greeted with the friendliest doodle ever. The menu was very straightforward and not overwhelming at all. I got a build your own (you can choose açaí or dragon fruit as your base) & I forgot the name of his, daydream? Then we added a chocolate banana croissant as well. The atmosphere was nice and vibrant with free water & wifi. I will admit the size/portions of the bowl was a little disappointing but that would be my ONLY complaint .....I'd rather support small businesses that I've never tried.
