I had the Caesar Salad and Certified Angus Petite Filet with vegetables and sour cream and chive mashed potatoes. This is by far THE best restaurant in Norman and has been for decades. The ambiance, the food and the service are all top notch. I love the Kelly green walls, terracotta floors, eclectic art on the walls, music coming from a live piano player...it's so much fun especially around the holidays. Even the bread is spectacular. I have came here a couple different times and the atmosphere is always so moody in such a good way. I've only ever gotten the lamb chops, but they are so tender and the cherry sauce that they glaze it with is amazing. I believe the atmosphere is perfect for a date night. The only reason I am doing a four star is because my girlfriend has never really liked anything she's had but she's also very picky. read more

I prefer to have fresh cherry or diced tomatoes with my wedge salad. Also the blue cheese dressing was watery and no fresh blue cheese curds :( My honey got the chicken crepe and it was just ok. The hollandaise sauce was overpowering and the crepe was swimming in it. My grown children took me to Legends last night for my birthday. Fifty years ago, I sat at the very same table for my 21st birthday. It was just as special! The drinks were fast and right, the food was tremendous. Our table had steak, duck and two chicken entrees. Everyone devoured their dishes! My duck was prepared perfectly, the side potatoes were insane. French onion soup- indulgent. Desserts were outstanding. Server was sweet and approachable, very efficient. Legends is a Norman gem. Elegant dining, with fabulous service. This is one of the few places to bring your out-of-town guests, for birthdays or other special occasions. This was my second time to Legends. My family went for my birthday dinner. This place is such a gem. From the beginning it feels like walking into grandmas house. The atmosphere is quiet and has a cozy vibe. Everyone from the hostess to servers are extremely friendly. Now, the food. My family and I each ordered differently on the menu from pasta, to chicken, to fish and each tried each others. Everything was so delicious! We also got desserts to go which was also very tasty! We had a wonderful Pre-Valentine's Cocktail testing tonight. The cocktail creations were truly unique and delicious. The bites of food served with it were very well matched and quite substantial. The atmosphere was cheerful and it looked like people were having a good time. The servers were delightful but had to deal with an occasional delay of food or drinks, which was a little surprising since Legends is known for hosting private events. But however, it wasn't a big deal. Unfortunately, what put a real damper on it at the end was the slice of their lemon cake. It's a favorite of mine and I was looking forward to it. The slice was half the size it used to be for the same price. I understand that prices go up and I expected that a cut might be less than it used to be but my slice wasn't even half and smaller than my friend's. What a great disappointment. The best restaurant experience in Norman thus far! We were greeted promptly and warmly before being seated immediately. Our server Cassandra redefined the word "customer service." She was warm, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about the menu and treated us like we were the most important people in the restaurant. We've only been here one time, and the service was good and the food is excellent. I had the certified Angus petite fillet. it comes with salad side and potato for the one price of $40. Quite a bargain compared to some of the à la cart steakhouses. My husband felt the same way. He just had a different steak, a larger one. We will definitely go there again!
