Friday night AYCE steak night was great! The cooked to order filets were fantastic! The buffet also has 4-5 different varieties of shrimp including their delicious ceviche. All of the sides were fresh, and the dessert bar will dazzle your tastebuds. Top notch customer service from a super friendly staff eager to serve you. Give it a try! read more

My family took us out tonight so we can try their crab legs while Friday is all-you-can-eat steak night. We waited about 30 minutes in line. I enjoyed the crab legs, they were meaty, fresh, and the place kept them stocked despite being super busy. I sampled some other items too. The brisket was a miss--too fatty and burnt. The corn, though, was fresh and buttery. Dessert options could be better, and I wish the salad bar were bigger. One downside of buffets is feeling like you have to "get your money's worth," especially at $50 a head. That said, the service was excellent--our server was kind, attentive, and made the experience great especially since it is my first time at Riverwind. read more

I don't know why I thought this would be decent. I should have looked at the reviews first. By far this is the worst buffet I have ever been at. I almost feel like I was scammed, and bad for wasting all that food, but I doubt even a stray dog would find any of it appetizing. Please don't waste your time or money. They can't even get dessert right. read more

Simply disgusting. Found nothing edible and awfully tough to watch the guests devour the bad food.

We went on all you can eat crab legs which were good I do believe though the rest of the items in buffet needed to be hotter they weren't even warm so I think they can do better on that cua cold food is no read more

Let's cut to the chase as I cannot finish this review without addressing the biggest issue with The River Buffet, THE LONG WAIT. We were in line for 1 hour and 20 minutes before making it the counter. I would bet, this is the estimated wait time for most people. I only go here for the seafood buffet on Saturday as I don't really care for any of their other food. Crab legs are the only thing I eat at this buffet and they are delicious. I would say the crab legs at River Buffet are even better than at some restaurants. Giving the long wait, I don't understand why they are not doing the number system. Sign in and get notified when the table is ready. It's a missed opportunity for a buffet located in Riverwind Casino. One, customers don't have to stand in line for hours and two, they can go play on the floor. I don't know what management is thinking, making people actually wait in line; this is CRAZY! A helpful tip. They are still offering 15% or $6 off when you have a player's club card which you can sign up while waiting in line. read more

I ate there about two hours ago and I am currently on my bathroom floor with the WORST case of food poisoning.

All you can eat steak on Friday nights and never ending crab legs on Saturday. Great servers and staff all around. Witnessed the managers always on the floor and the GM is there taking to tables. read more

Update from my review from 2 years ago. I have to say things have changed significantly since my last review. I definitely recommend the now "Willows Buffet ". I love the all you can eat crab leg night(Saturday) and that is the only day that I eat at willows. If you are willing to arrive 1-2 hrs. Prior to opening at 5:00 pm. On Saturday, it's definitely worth the price of $40. Service is excellent and the crab is very good, sometimes salty but usually cooked perfectly. I definitely recommend and hit this place up usually every other weekend. See you there. read more

Deciding to try the buffet on Saturday evening. In summary, it was horribly disappointing and no worth your time. 21/2 hours in line to find a mostly empty buffer. We were seated at 9:00 and they immediately ceased filling the empty buffet although you're told it will be 11:00 when they stop the buffet. If you're looking for all-you-can-eat crab legs in OKC, look no further! It's only $34 if you have a player's card and $40 if you don't. (You can sign up for one for free if you're 18+) Soft drinks are included. I believe it's only available on Saturday nights starting at 5pm so you might wanna come early and beat the rush. You have to wait in line for the crab legs and they come in buckets! It's 1 bucket per person with about 2 bundles or 10 crab legs. They also ask whether you prefer king crab legs, snow crab legs, or a mix. You can get in line as many times as you'd like. The lady serving the crab legs is so sweet and the line moves fast. The king crab legs were huge, but I was not a fan of the taste. It was more salty and dry than I prefer. The snow crab legs on the other hand were very good. It was easy to crack and tasted fresh. Overall, there was a good consistency with each crab leg. There's also a buffet with some pretty good options to choose from. We had steak, fried oysters, fried calamari and fried fish which were all pretty good. The dessert selection was also pretty nice! I was happy to see creme brûlée! Just watch out for some of the desserts since they can be extremely sweet. The crawfish was horrible and flavorless so I don't recommend trying this. Overall, this all-you-can-eat crab legs experience was definitely worth the price and wait! Where else can I satisfy my crab legs cravings for only $34?! Everyone that works there is also very nice and checks on you frequently! Check. It. Out. P.s I heard there's raw oysters on some Saturdays. read more

The food was pretty good and they have the same menu Wed-Thursday nights. I've only been to this buffet 1 other time and that was their Seafood buffet on Saturday night and it was good!! A little pricey at $40 per person but they offer King and Snow crab legs. Yesterday's menu was the usual fried chicken, chicken fried steak, prime rib, turkey and dressing, meatloaf, baked potatoes and masked potatoes, sweet potatoes with marshmallows and brown sugar, peel and eat shrimp, some really delicious ceviche, and fried catfish. The also a Mexican station and I tried the beef enchiladas. They were ok I guess. Their weekly buffet price is $23.99 with 15% off if you use your players card so I thought that was a great deal for hubby and I. The place was literally empty but we didn't mind because we you didn't have a bunch of hungry people cutting in line to get to the trough, Lmao!! read more

On Friday evening the River Buffet inside The Riverwind Casino, in Norman, has the best "all you can eat" Steak Buffet I have ever come across! There are different cuts of Steak, but the rib eye is by far my favorite! Fresh & Charbroiled right in front of you, {made to order}! Of course they have many, many other tasty entrees besides the awesome steaks! The prices are very reasonable. The doors open at 5pm, the line starts at 4:15. And of course one can go back as many times as desired! The servers are all very friendly & "top drawer! read more

The crab legs are back, so we are too!! The line for the buffet was definitely not as long as it was back in the day, so we got through fairly quickly and were seated after about 15 minutes of waiting. Also, the price of the buffet is usually $30, but since we had players cards, it was $4.50 off! The crab legs were not very juicy and stuck to the shell when you tried to peel them out. And the mussels had a grayish tint to them. But nevertheless they still hit the spot! I really like the clam chowder. It had big bites of clam and warmed me up from the cold weather outside. I also found myself visiting the fried oysters frequently throughout the night. I also had many servings of the cocktail shrimp, but it had a strange seed seasoning of mustard seeds, fennel, and peppercorns that I could've done without. Regarding the meatier options, the prime rib was tender and juicy (my bf waited for the newly cut slab to be brought out) and the ribs were fall off the bone. And for dessert, I loved the pecan cobbler. The fruit tart had a nice lemon-y kick to it. And there was a small desert plate with a white meringue cookie with a light creme dollop that went fast. I got a bite of my bfs but should've just stollen the whole plate because it was so good! read more

I am so, so disappointed in the steak dinner we had last Friday night, Sept.29th. It was my birthday. Three of us went down, my son, my good friend and myself anticipating a fun filled evening plus a delicious meal! Mind you, we have gone done several times for the steak meal and it has always been delicious! well, not on Sept 29th it was terrible!! The steak was so tough and so full of grizzel (spelling) you couldn't even cut it with a steak knife! Neither my friend nor I could finish our coffee. It is usually very good but I guess you let the strange off the street make the coffee also! What has happened to you folks!? Your Friday night steal has always been so good! Did you butcher an old bull straight from the rodeo and bring in someone off the street that has NEVER cooked before? That was $89.97 down the drain!! The service was good though. Jessie always does a good job. Gloria read more

FOOD POISONING! Stay Away! My husband and I ate here on March 12th for all you can eat crab legs. We waited in line for almost 2 hrs before we were seated and able to eat. The food was not great and had a weird taste but having paid $40 per person I wanted to get my moneys worth. And for that thought process, I have been paying the price ever since. I came home with food poisoning. It's been 5 days and I am still having severe symptoms. Went to the doctor and got some meds to help manage symptoms but it has to run it's course. Worst mistake I've ever made. Don't make the same one I did. read more

Update: I stopped receiving comp coupons after I posted this review, even though I gambled the same amount of money in this place. So I can't report if the quality of food has improved or not. So the managers do read the reviews here they just don't care. I won't be back even to gamble. The place is clean and the staff is friendly usually. The only reason to eat here is because you have a free coupon. The catfish and the salad bar is always good in my experience. If you pay money to eat here you will be really disappointed. read more

Three hour wait. Over worked staff can be seen by the amount of empty tables awaiting to be cleaned. We went on all you can eat crab. Crab was cold not nice and warm. All other foods were Golden Corral worthy (not a compliment). If you go go at 4 and good luck. Typical cheap style buffet food. O er priced for what you get outs wide of the crab. read more

When I think of the River buffet, I think of Walmart. During the peak hours especially Friday and Saturday, it's pure pandemonium. The line is very long, everyone is angry, and there's only one checkout person. The food, I would say is equivalent to buying off brand food items; Great Value, Best Choice, ect. I've never had to pay for the food nor wait in line because I hold an elite card so I can give a pass on a lot of this. The food is at the very least not spoiled, it's just a bit bland. My favorite items are the shrimp cocktails and bread pudding. Everything else has been hit or miss. Either it's juicy/tasty or dry/bland, these are the same items just different days. As far as staff goes... At first I thought they were bad, but understanding that they are understaffed (partly due to covid, how are people just not working anymore?) and the insanity that was Saturday night (seafood night, don't bother btw) I could understand their patience waning thin. Every other day I've gone the staff has been very nice, though it may take awhile to get a refill on drinks, again, understaffed. Overall, I'd probably never pay out of my own pocket to eat here unless they lowered the price by at least $10 and wouldn't wait in line on their crazy nights. But I still come by and eat now and then, since I get 2-3 free meals here a month. There are other options in the casino. Chip N Ales is pretty good and there's also a food court (Burger King, Panda Express, IHOP coming soon) read more

Every time we go in we are welcomed by friendly staff. The food is well kept and looks appealing. Depending on when you go it could be a nice Sunday brunch or a packed steak night. But no complaints. The servers work hard and stay busy but never make you feel like a burden. Line staff is welcoming and very well educated to answer any questions. 10/10 would go again! read more

The food is alright. It's a bit over priced, but if sometimes they'll give players a 50% discount or free buffet. The table service is great though. Andre is really good. Ya...not a good night tonight...long wait...30 to 35 minutes to get crab legs. Managers dont seem to care...they say this is normal. Ummm..NO. ITS NOT AT OTHER CASINOS!!! SMDH Please fix this ...its not suitable for me to wait 30 minutes for crab legs. read more

Calling the service here a display of ineptitude would be a compliment. Upon arriving at the counter, the employee behind it did not acknowledge us at all; instead, she continued to mess with a few receipts and then looked up and waited for us to order. Perhaps a greeting is too much of a courtesy to offer one here. I'd like to say that was the worst of the experience, but that just wasn't the case. Absolutely nothing here impressed. The drinks were in the smallest cups I've had at a restaurant; the apple juice within this cup tasted cheap and old (how you have bad apple juice is beyond me); the lack of coordination among the staff in terms of receiving your order and then seating you was not just confusing, but asinine. If anything about my review confuses you, please go to Willows and you'll find exactly what I'm talking about. read more

Line was long. Buffet was expensive. Food was not that exciting. No more king crab or oyster. Snow crab was cold. Not worth the $43 with tax included. After all these years, I don't see why they don't add another restroom so we don't have to wait as long for those wanting to go use the restroom to wash out hands. Definitely will not be back. Very dissapointed. read more

This is my favorite buffet by far I don't thank it can get any better then this great food and awesome staff

Went to seafood night for the king crab legs with a friend. We were both very disappointed. The crab legs were alright, a little bland. The melted butter that you can get with it is very salty and doesn't taste like butter at all. They also have crawfish with corn in the same area they serve the crab legs. Those are also bland. My friend said that it seemed like they just boiled it and then sprinkled some seasoning on it after. The only thing that we thought was good were the oysters, but all they have to do is shuck and clean them so that's not really saying much. Overall all the food is bland and gave us really bad acid reflux. They also raised the price of the buffet to $40! (But you can get $6 off if you use your players card) read more

Steak nights are the best. Would recommend any night though. Awsome staff and customer service

Our service was good...Our waiter was very attentive. I've been to las Vegas buffets...obviously this one isn't going to compare. However, the food was good. Mom enjoyed her salad...commented that it was very fresh. I thought my greenbeans and mixed veggies were cold and and bland. read more

Waited in line to get into the restaurant for 1 hour 50 minutes only to find out that we had to get into another line to actually get food. When we first started going there 5 years ago for the money and the quality was a pretty good deal but lately the quality of the beef they serve has fallen into the ditch. The last year or so the beef have gotten so tough with gristle that I could barely cut it with a steak knife and chewing it really tested my metal. This past Wednesday I'd heard the sunny side up promotion playing Thursday through Tuesday 20 points gets you a free meal at the Willows on Wednesday between 7 am and 4 pm. Well I didn't make it into the Willows due to the extremely long line and it was past lunch hour so I couldn't attest to the quality of the meal. If the cashier service and waiter staff is any indication, I'd have to say the meal probably equaled the poor service getting into the restaurant and that Willows is really taking advantage of Mr. Ken Parkinson (Manager) of Riverwind Casino's generosity by paying for the 50 and over crowds meals. I'm not knocking the staff I know they work very hard but lets face it Willows has been raking in the cash while not giving good service when you run a free promotion people are going to flock in in droves why hasn't Willows responded with greater numbers in employees to service the Casino's clients. Easy answer is more people served, guaranteed money comes in from the Casino, higher profit margin if you don't pay for more workers. Plus buy low quality foods. In the long haul people will stop wasting their money at Willows. read more

The cashier was friendly and quick. Our waitress was the sweetest. she kept our drinks full and promptly removed empty plates and our ONE crab bucket. But every other aspect of the River was deplorable! The buffet opens at 5:00 and our ticket showed that we paid at 5:08. After a short wait to be seated we waited in the longest line imaginable to get a bucket of crab legs, it was 5:57 before I sat down to actually eat. That's insane!! The person serving the legs was much to chatty to be the server. She was rude to the person in front of me who asked for legs out of the fresh tub verses the scraps she was given out of the empty tub. After paying $40 for the buffet then waiting in line for 30 minutes she deserved the fresh legs! No need for attitude! Even though I was the second person to get king crab legs out of the tub i was so disappointed to find that my crab legs were complete rubber. Not sure why they had crackers available because the shells just bent. I could literally wrap them around my finger! It was insanely ridiculous! But wait, it gets better! The cocktail sauce was spaghetti sauce, when it was mention to the server behind he counter they confirmed that the wrong can was opened but they wouldn't allow them to take it off the bar because that would be "wasteful". Management has no clue what good management is. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that the line was the only way they could keep the crab legs fresh.. what?? No, they're not fresh because they bend and are rubbery. I was told it was a "seafood" buffet not a crab buffet and there were other food choices. I was also told I could stay as long as I needed when I complained about the time it took to get a single bucket of crab legs. Really, that's your solution? Tell the customer to stay until close if they like so your waitstaff then has less customers therefore less tips? That manager seriously needed to go back out and work on the casino floor because food service is not her expertise! The River was a complete disappointment. Their "seafood" buffet was a waste of my money, my family will never return. read more

Pretty good Buffet yet items are limited compared to similar buffets. I have been here several times, including a Thanksgiving, which was disappointing. I feel the food could be fresher and of course, more of a selection with salad, meat, fish and dessert varieties...also somewhat overpriced. It could be done much better especially for a casino who wants to have that Vegas appeal and atmosphere. read more
