Since this is the whole Casino itself, will be reviewing the establishment itself. I've been to other Casinos from my home country and Las Vegas and I would say, definitely a far cry to those Casinos. Some said there were some designated smoke areas but it seems like people smoke anywhere regardless. People are also dressed like they're just going to walmart or something. There were actually other eating places here, but we went for the Riverwind Buffet. Unfortunately, the rules were not really upheld because it was mentioned that the whole party must be in line but some people in front of us kept going in and out of the line. Not really the fanciest buffet compared to the ones I've been to especially Las Vegas. The selection is also very limited and personally the only best thing here is the Snow Crabs and their good selection of desserts. The calamari may be a good contender. Thankfully my baby loves their one and only soup which is the Broccoli and Cheddar. Unfortunately, even their one and only best thing had issues for me. I felt like some of the served crabs were not fresh and it gave off a really bad smell and weird taste giving me the impression that they've gone bad already. So, I would advise people not to just eat the crabs willy nilly without properly assessing it. Wish they had a cracker and some gloves to offer as well to help with eating the crabs especially the claw part. The server that we had was kind and attentive but lost our receipt. Thankfully the lost receipt wasn't an issue during our stay. The ambiance, like I said, isn't the best compared to other buffets to the Casinos I have been to in the Philippines and Las Vegas. Like personally, unfortunately, the Philippines Casino and Buffet is heaps better and most of the Casinos (which is most I have been to) in Las Vegas is like miles away from the Riverwind Casino and thats also in terms of their Buffet and ambience. It could have been better being one of the only few Casinos near OKC. One major complaint I have is the lack of bathroom inside the buffet area as it only had a one room/stall for each gender. Like you have to go outside the buffet to use the bathroom and even wash your hands if you can't wait for it. Thankfully the bathrooms in the casino area seems to be well taken care of as someone keeps cleaning it. The way to the bathroom in the buffet area is also disgusting as you would see all the left overs and unwashed plates on the way there. Overall, for a family birthday celebration, it was still okay and not the worst but not the best. Despite the crab issues, it is still worth coming back for it as the price justifies it especially if you love crabs (which is only available on Saturdays). Would definitely advise you all to come early as we spent majority of our time (like probably 1-2 hrs) waiting in line for the buffet. read more

We stayed overnight. The hotel room is nice. Ate at Chip N Ale in the casino. I had the chopped steak that comes with a house salad, and a local IPA. Delicious. The ranch and blue cheese are made from scratch. Husband had chicken fried steak. I think it was better than my meal but I liked them both. The other places to eat are Burger King and Panda Express. Always a great time! Sometimes I check out the concerts if invited with friends. I do think there buffet is better than some of the larger casinos I've tried traveling. I love the location and I've had some great memories there going with different age groups. My friends in their 40s love it while seniors can enjoy it as well. Since the location is in Norman, Oklahoma then of course college crowds go for something to do. If you're just bored late nights then I'd imagine sitting at the bar here is great for good convo amongst others. I like this spot! read more

Been here 3 times. We live in CA. My brother lives here. Between, living and playing in Tahoe. Vegas 3-4 times a year, and multiple casinos in Northern California, these are the worst paying slots I've ever seen. Same games, supposedly close to the same odds, far from the same results. I call BS on $3.75 with 15 bonuses on one slot for a total of $100 payout. $900 gone on this 2 hr visit. Could have flown to Vegas and had $500 left. Oh and $.50 ante on black jack is a joke. This was our first visit and we had a terrific time! The casino was active and we were impact very little, if at all, due to the Covid precautions. There were no barriers between machines as all were available. Masks are required and temps are taken upon entering the casino. We played an entire day and the slots were somewhat giving. Riverwind is not a family friendly casino. We are semi local to the casino but came here for one night to stay in the hotel just to get away for a night, but we have a 3yo that we have to bring with us. The hotel rooms are basic, clean but basic, beds are squeaky. There is no pool or anything for kids to do at the hotel. We entered the casino and went to the place where you get your players card. Within about 30 seconds I had security kicking me off the floor because I had our daughter with us. We frequently stay at the Choctaw Casino even though it is 2 1/2 hours away and my child can go anywhere in the casino. They have an amazing pool for adults and kids, huge gaming area, it is just 1000X better in every way. I guess we just came here to chill in the hotel room for the night, because there is nothing else we can do having our 3yo with us. Take the drive to Choctaw Casino, because Riverwind sucks. I guess the all Chickasaw casinos have this policy, so I would suggest avoiding them if you have anyone under the age of 18 with you. read more

They did have a great selection of machines that the other casinos like Winstar and even Choctaw did not have like the Big Cheese and Hold onto your Hat. I did try Huff N Puff and got the bonus with the Dollar Storm and some on Lightning link. I spent a total of an hour here, just trying the machines, I was getting the bonuses, but they were not good. I had an entire morning free on a Sunday and decided to Uber over to one of the local casinos in Norman, OK. The casino is pretty good sized - includes a show theater, a buffet, English-style pub, and casual food court. All the slot machines surround the perimeter, and near the center of the casino you get a few table games and the central bar. Plenty of restrooms along the outer perimeter plus lots of self-service soft drink and coffee stations. Like other Yelpers mentioned, its a bit smokey and I do see several customers wear dust masks. The table games have low $5 limits but apparently Oklahoma gaming laws require a 50 cent Ante per hand. Sort of like a casino tax. If you're on a losing streak, it will accelerate. If you're on a hot streak and betting much bigger than minimum, you won't notice the pain of the Ante. Blackjack pays a full 3:2 on blackjacks and dealers stand on all 17s, which helps the player slightly. I did pretty well here and made most of my doubles and splits. Tip: Because of the Ante, bet at least $10 to $20 per hand so you don't dilute your winnings. I was pleased to see Ultimate Hold'em with $5 limits. Here, I played maybe 5-6 hands and won most of them with aggressive betting pre-flop: A-J, 7-7, and one time I held a Q-2 which turned into a full house after the board came back like K-Q-K-Q-8 Lucky for me the dealer didn't have a K! Overall a fun place to kill a few hours. I recommend playing aggressively (bet bigger than usual) for shorter play periods and not trying to play too long and grind. We stayed at the hotel and right after we checked in they told us there was not any water in the hotel. They weren't sure what happened or how long it would be. We went ahead and waited and around 10 o'clock. The water was on. The other problem was the toilet kept running water, which was probably due to the water issue earlier. The water came out dirty so we could not drink the water and didn't care to use it to take a shower. The other problem was doors shutting all night long. When we told the front desk about all the issues we were told "We are sorry". Never going back. read more
