We stopped here to watch the Thunder game. It because more of a date night than just going to a sports bar. They have about 4 TVs and it wasn't super crowded. It's $5 to get in but all the games are free after. It's a $10 minimum at the bar as well. The drinks weren't too over priced but just know if you're going to get a drink you're likely spending $15 at a minimum to be there. Not too bad for a date night spot. The games are retro and fun! This is a very neat and fun place. It was only a $5 cover per person (cash only) which included playing all of the games as many times as you wanted. They have a huge assortment of different games from back in the 80s and 90s to include ski ball, Pac Man, Tetris, Ninja Turtles, Mario Brothers, Sonic the Hedgehog and much more. there is a $10 minimum charge on any credit card purchase from the bar and they do add 20% gratuity for the bartenders and staff. If you don't want to drink, they have water and canned sodas, but each can of soda is $3 each. It wasn't busy at all so we were able to play the games we wanted as many times as we wanted to play them and had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

We stopped in on a weeknight with our daughter. It was her 21st birthday. The bartender was nice, and gave us a run down on how everything worked. We ordered a round of shots, and drinks for our party. The drinks were very weak, but they tasted ok. We went off to play some games, and had fun with that. After a bit, we came back and ordered another round of drinks. We quickly realized they were mostly mixer. They were too expensive to keep ordering basically flavored sprite at $9 a piece. This place is awesome! If you have two drinks, games are free or $5 cover if you don't want to drink. Had the karate kid shot, it was so good! Also got a beer, and my tan was about $15. Daniella treated us so well and was very informed about the menu. It is also beautiful in here! Vintage video game arcade/bar in downtown OKC. Unlike other arcades I've been to, games are unlimited and FREE with the purchase of two beverages. The space is massive, and packed with every arcade game you could hope to find. Decor is colorful and distinctly 1980's. My husband and I came here at 5pm on a weekday, and had the place to ourselves. We ordered alcoholic slush puppies, which were delicious. They offer a fun menu of inexpensive speciality cocktails and shots. I loved the neon blue "Weekend At Bernie's", which contains tequila, pineapple and orange juices, and a little coconut. We met a group of friends here. I had heard of it and had wanted to go check it out for awhile. It was a lot of fun. I played centipede and millipede a million times. Pac-Man and several others a bunch too. So nice to be able to play free. There is a 2 drink minimum but we were there for a couple of hours so it was easy to want 2 drinks. I'm not sure if we got happy hour prices or if their drinks are very fairly priced. My husband had several beers and I had a mixed drink and our bill was $25!! I do wish they had food though. The onion burger shop next door smelled really good when we were leaving. I recommend this pub for a fun evening but eat before you go. read more

I have been to a lot of arcade bars in my life, but this one has to be one of my favorites. For just $5 on a Saturday, you can play as many games as you want - this includes classic arcades and console games! One of my favorite things about this place are how creative their drinks are. They have many different drinks themed after popular video games/candies, same with shots. They also have a slush puppies machine, which you can get with the liquor of your choice! There's so many games to play here, and it looks like they also have a DJ at certain times. I also found a 'free Blockbuster' setup, where you can borrow games/VHS tapes for free and bring them back whenever you're done. So cool! I was visiting OKC and heard about this place from one of my Uber drivers! We went on Thursday around 5:00pm (which happened to be when they open) and had the whole place to ourselves! The bartender was super nice. My friend got a local beer. I got a blueberry lemonade with Titos per the bartender's recommendation - it was delicious! We had a lot of fun playing all the games. This place has a good atmosphere. The drinks were extremely weak, and half of the games worked. Still had a good time despite both.

They refuse to put Duck Hunt on the High scores board even though I got the high score. Honestly, just make your customer happy. You can erase it when I leave if you wanna be petty, but it's ridiculous not to just add it when a high score was achieved. The bartenders are disrespectful and hateful when we asked why it couldn't be put on the wall. Honestly, paying customers should be granted the happiness of having their name on the wall, even if it's just for the night. Like what does it hurt. But I'm pretty upset about the entire experience and likely won't be supporting their business anymore. read more

A fun bar with a plethora of video games, from old school side-scrollers to console games and skee ball. The games are "free" to play, but you're required to pay a cover or order a two drink minimum to enter the bar. I enjoy a good game and if your looking for an adult barcade this is a fun place. So it is 21+ and when you get to the door the people from the bar call you over to check ID. It is a 2 drink minimum(Water doesn't count) or $5 for unlimited game play. Although if you're out at a bar that's kinda of half the fun. They have signature drinks and some of them were a hit and others were a miss. The princess peach was extremely tart, but the tron was a success. They have all the old arcade games, nintendos(Older and newer versions) on bar tables, and even have skeeball. The decorations were all set in the 80s experience so it was fun and entertaining. If you love cabinet-style old-fashioned arcade games hosted in a fun era-centric atmosphere, then you need to visit Flashback RetroPub in Oklahoma City. First Impression: I instantly flashbacked to playing Offroad at my local Pizza Hut! My inner 8-year-old just shouted out for joy. Wait, they have alcoholic beverages that bring you back to your childhood... WHAT?!!! Can I live here? At the time, the games are unlimited as long as you pay the cover???!!! Menu: When I visited I had a lot of the "Not your father's..." products. I was also obsessed with the Nerds shot. I am not sure if they still offer them, but if they do, they're worth it. Expect a sugar high when you visit this place because your inner child says so. Atmosphere: It's fun and energetic. It has all of the classic cabinet video games. When I visited, the cost of the games was included as part of the cover you paid to get in. The cocktails are fun and they had a theme night where all they played was 80's music. I won't age myself too much, but I knew all of the songs. Customer Service: The bartenders were great and had the right attitude for the atmosphere. They were always smiling and their energy made you buy that extra Nerd shot that you said you shouldn't have. Price: I didn't care about the price. I know my bar tab was a little high, but it was worth the experience. Overall: Just go to the FlashBack RetroPub as often as you can. Dress in your best 80's attire (if you got some). If you're part of my generation it's like heading down to the local arcade (or in my case my local Pizza Hut) and playing as many games as you can. Make sure you have a designated driver or call an Uber. I hope you have as much fun as I did. I will say, I wanted to play a few games that were on the premises but they were only for those who rented the special event spaces. Arrrrrgh! read more

Love the concept! Pretty awesome that you potentially have a whole night of fun for $5. That's a genius way to get me to buy cocktails! However, I did have a few suggestions: There are not many places to sit Very dark Not enough sit and play games I wish they had basketball because the skeeball is awesome VERY HOT inside Besides for that, the prettyinpink is delicious. Very dangerous because I could sip on those all night before I realize I'm buzzed. Love the free play! I get to try games that I never knew existed. I was sheltered as a child and never went to an arcade until I was an adult. Because of that, I really appreciate that it's 21+ only so kids don't kill my vibe. My favorite is the giant Connect 4 because I am the champ of that game and it makes it feel grown-up. The bar staff is super nice and helpful, they are just obviously way understaffed. I only saw two bartenders the whole night on a Saturday night! That's nuts because several times people didn't feel like waiting so they left the lines. Place was dark and loud. Pretty clean and the decor was just all over the place... keep looking y'all you'll see something new every few minutes. Then look again. The games though.... so many old games I felt like I was back in my childhood. Several games were not working but enough were so that was ok. It was slow when I went so I also had plenty to play when I was there. Drinks are overpriced but I will guess it's because they're a specialty place. I mean... the 80's - 90's is the "thing" these days! I had a wine that came in a can... don't recall the name but it was decent for canned wine. It's a vibe and I do love being in here, it's great for if you have a group of people, but I only go from time to time, this definitely isn't a spot you would want to be a regular and come in everyday after work. Parking sucks, not a ton of seating and I've never gotten a heavy pour here, but for what it is I do love this place. I love Flashback and bring friends here with me regularly. I don't recommend going here to game by yourself as a woman just because there is no way to watch your beverage if you're arcading and I don't see many (if any) women customers there unless I bring my crew of gals. I love that they have slushes now! They have also gotten some new games! other than arcade games, they have retro TVs set up at tables with old video games and there are two skeeball lanes in the back. When it comes to food, you can order from Joey's Pizza Shop (bougie pizza restaurant down the street) until 11pm on weekends, but no other outside food is allowed. A lot of times on weekends there will be a cover charge to enter for a DJ on one side of the arcade that isn't too discernible from regular streaming music. It took me and my friends a while to figure out why there was a cover until we saw a guy playing on his phone sitting at a DJ table. Although there is a new trendy game available too, the games new & old lack maintenance, so you may find joysticks not working or buttons sticking on many of the games!! There are even unplayable games with old screens that just can't be read anymore for example. With all that being said, this is a very inexpensive place to play because all the games are free with the purchase of drinks. It is my favorite place to play Ninja Turtles if the joysticks work. read more

I've never taken the time to review FlashBack, and I have no idea why I haven't. I love the concept, and I had been to retro arcade bars in other cities, and for years I longed for one here. That whole time I was pining for one, Jose was hard at work trying to get his concept off the ground. I love to get to play the arcade games I grew up playing (Crystal's Pizza on Northwest Expressway, for those who know what's up)! But now, I get to play the arcade games I love (I'm looking at you, Tetris) while drinking a delicious cocktail. I love anything that feels like a true destination bar. This isn't just any old bar, it's a place you seek out. We come here every time my brother is in town, and we make an evening out of being in Film Row. Cocktails at one place, walk to dinner, walk to FlashBack. It makes me feel like a tourist in my own city. Now, I really need a 90s themed bar. Think all the Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage and Hole you can handle, with lots of flannel, How I Married an Axe Murderer on repeat. Theme nights could include some Rockaroke (karaoke with a live band), live Rock Band Battles (I know not from the 1990s, but many of the songs are), and some slam poetry nights. Who knows, I might even smoke a clove cigarette. We could add in some Beastie Boys and Fugees for good measure. C'mon, Jose, whadda ya say?? read more

FlashBack RetroPub's name might be a mouthful, but it's one of the only arcade bars in town (maybe THE only) that is adults only. There are some key games here that I love to play, and now that the space has expanded there is so much more room. It felt cramped before with a lot packed into a smaller space. The 80s theme goes a bit overboard for my liking, but that's what a lot of people love about it. I prefer to wear my headphones while I play, because when they aren't playing 80s music it's Top 40 which is also not my style. Be aware that the games are free but you're supposed to buy a drink. They also have a $10 minimum on cards. I know they used to have a $5 cover on the weekends, not sure if that's still the case or not. There are definitely things about this place that I really don't like, but I can get my arcade game fix which still makes it worth it to me. read more
