Came in here for the second time to get some goodies for Christmas Eve. Not only was the staff welcoming and patient while I tried to figure out what I wanted amidst the many options, they offered helpful tips on how to keep it all fresh until the day I plan to serve them. I had to explain that my concern was more like "how to I keep my greasy little hands out of these decadent chocolates until then" which gave them a good laugh. This is the most unfriendly store I've ever walked into. I visited in March 2024 I walked in with My Son while visiting him at the University of Oklahoma went in to get some chocolates. No one welcomed us. No one acknowledged us. No one helped us so I walked out. I was in town again this past weekend for the first university of Oklahoma home game we all flew in from Illinois, Florida, and Arizona to see my son march for The Pride of Oklahoma. There's so much school spirit in the campus corner and generally in the town of Norman Oklahoma. It is a very quiet town but again I didn't say anything to my sisters, walked in the four of us again into this shop for they wanted something sweet, three people behind the counter. No one helped us. No one acknowledged us. At the very least, you should teach your employees to say welcome... Thank you for coming in... How can I help you... What kind of sweets do you like?... Thanks for stopping by... This is hospitality 1010 my goodness, My sister had to be "hello, can I have some chocolates? I did not buy anything again! When I walked outside the store all my sisters looked at each other and said "well they're grumpy!" I will not be coming back to the shop and I will be telling all my out-of-state university of Oklahoma band parents, which is a group of thousands when you're visiting for these football game weekends do not go there instead go to like insomnia, cookies, or that place at campus corners that has Ice cream sandwiches. The employees here are great, my friends and I ran in about 15 minutes before they closed Saturday night and the they were more than helpful. We tried to pick out our orders as fast as we could so we could leave before closing, and if the employees were irritated at us (which I would be lol) they sure didn't show it. How have I not know about this delectable shop. If you love chocolate, you will love Apple Tree Chocolates. I was first lured here after an internet search for caramel apples. I was in charge of Dead Week Treats for an organization at OU and wanted to do a sweet & salty bar comprised of caramel apples and popcorn with mix ins. The website pictures are spot on. I chose a combination of 6 different types caramel apples for our treat trays. For a small fee the will place them on serving trays. If you would rather place them on your own trays, they will cut up the apples and pls e them in pizza style boxes. We managed our set up to coordinate with their Apple cutting so as to keep browning of apples to a minimum.the flavors i chose included plain, turtle, Cookies & cream, dark chocolate sea, Samoan & butterfinger. They were delicious and much loved by the collegians. We made a quick trip back to the shop a few days later to pick up another apple (turtle), some fudge,truffles and a few stocking stuffers. Everything was wonderful. The hand made chocolates were not only beautiful but yummy. They also offer gelato and an array of packaged novelty candies. The owner was quick to respond to my inquiry email and made the order, purchase and pick up so easy.
