This is one of our favorite ice cream spots! It has such a fun vibe and the staff is always so nice, even when busy. We stopped by tonight after a new special was announced, so they were obviously VERY busy. The staff was transparent when we walked in and told us we would have a longer wait, but after finding a seat and flipping through some of the books in the back with our kids, I think waited *maybe* 15 minutes before our order was brought out. Definitely check out this cute, spooky spot! Also, look through all of the decor! A lot is art made by locals and I find new cool stuff every time we go in! read more

As far as I'm concerned, the ice cream is nothing special here. But....the decor to the place is absolutely unique and neat. The place is worth it....just for the atmosphere. What a unique concept! Fun horror theme and the place was filled with a bunch of movie decor and props!! You can choose a cup or a milkshake and there is a yummy menu or you can create your own. I chose the Sinister which was strawberry ice cream and golden grahams cereal. My husband for the Danny stutsman scare which was really rich chocolate ice cream and brownie bites and other tasty stuff. The staff was very friendly and the place was pretty busy. What a super spooky place! We had such a good time here! Since this was our first visit the folks behind the counter were so helpful and answered all our questions and explained how things worked. Between all the art and movies on the 2 tvs you will definitely be entertained. This place is totally a happy spot for me. The perfect end to a good evening. I had the hot chocolate float. What a wonderful combo! You can't go wrong with hot chocolate and ice cream topped with whipped cream! One of my kiddos had The Grinchmas and the other had the Trick or Treat. Such an incredible and fun ice cream shop!!!! I'm very much a #HalloweeenForever type of gal, and this place catered to my specific niche. The interior is decorated floor to ceiling in Halloween and spooky decor. They have a large skeleton, Michael Myers and killer clown animatronics, and a huge ghostface mural!! The ice cream was so delicious! We ordered the elm street and the stutsman scare as milkshakes and Mrs Voerhees apple pie In a cup. The two workers were so kind and helpful, the service was amazing. The Ice Creamtory is a unique concept that combines great ice cream base flavors with a variety mix ins, using a special blending system that creates a great ice cream dessert. The various Ice Creamations are all scary/horror themed, hence the name and the decor. Great place to take the kids (it's scary, not gory) and most will recognize the characters and decor. If you've read the other recent reviews that are obviously Karens with agendas, don't pay attention to those. For what it is worth, I was there when the alleged "shouting" occurred. Funny thing is, the discussion involved the OWNERS-- the concerned customer obviously took offense when they shouldn't have. If those two had stayed around, they would have seen all of the employees--including those supposedly screamed at--enjoying themselves and having a great time as it was a very busy day, and those folks took care of business, as they always do. They don't have my favorite toppings, but I still like what they have. I like toppings like pecans and almond slivers. Those are not available. I was disappointed but pleasantly surprised that I still liked what they had. It was something with cherries in it. I don't recall the name. They go all in on the theme. Props for that. This place is one of a kind! I took a trip here just to check it out! So many options it felt like I was making a subway sandwich. They can add anything to the soft serve and it was literally the best ice cream I've ever had. SUCCESS. Now, I went in knowing what I wanted. I got the "Captain Spaulding". High key tastes like a bowl of cereal as ice cream, in the best way. My husband got "The Boogeyman". I'm not too big of a chocolate ice cream gal but, DAYUM. (pardon my language) As we sat and ate, we continued reading the menu and realized that we have like 5 flavors each that we still want to try. Because we had to be in Norman, and my companion not only loves horror but is a published horror author, we had to try them. They weren't open the first time we went by so we went to one of our meetings and returned an hour after they opened. They were super crowded and busy, so we had high hopes for the ice cream. Turns out they were busy because they'd become "tiktok famous" and weren't prepared for the massive increase in business. We were willing to wait the half hour they said it would take and made our selection. The horror decor was cute. Some of it was delightful (the upside down ice cream cones where the ice cream was shaped like skulls, the coffin shaped table, the slow flashing lights up in the ceiling), and some of it was well done cinematic photos and art. Under less crowded circumstances,it would be very charming. We had a nice time discussing horror with several people, encountered a fan of my companion's work, and got very over-heated. The crowd, no fault to the business. Nothing can cope with OK heat and large crowds. Sadly, we never got our ice cream. We watched as the people directly before us got theirs, and were anticipating ours coming up next - and it didn't. And then more and more people got their ice creams, and we didn't. After 8 or 9 people got their ice creams who came into the shop after us, we asked. The young man couldn't find our order. They lost our order. So he said he'd make ours next, took the order again. I'm not sure he got it right, but in the end, it didn't matter, because he proceeded to make someone else's ice cream order and handed it off to them. So my companion asked for a refund, since we weren't sure we'd ever actually get anything. I expected it to be refunded back to the card, but he was so frazzled (no fault on him, I guess TikTok famous is not always a good thing) he just gave us cash. I hope he had a better day after we left, bereft of the ice cream treat we'd so anticipated. I don't know if we will ever be able to get back, since they are 25 miles away, but if we do, I hope things go smoother for everyone. RESPONSE TO MR. M: I am not going to change what I wrote above, because it was true when I wrote it. I always try to be fair and honest in my reviews, good, bad, and, for the first time, because *you* made it so, downright ugly. Let's get a couple of things straight here (redone because of new info). I did not know Mr. M was the owner, I never asked to speak to a manager/owner, and I was low-key and polite in asking for a refund for ice cream we'd ordered and paid for and that we were now pretty sure we'd never get - I doubt any other customers in there were aware there was an issue. If Mr. M truly is the owner, he would know how to properly issue a refund and refused to do issue it correctly. And now he's making a big deal out of HIS decision to issue a cash refund in the incorrect amount and is all angry that he gave back a little bit more than I'd actually paid. I took the cash because I didn't wanr to make a bigger scene than he already was. We live far away, this was our first time there and it was meant to be a special treat. Well, it was special. Mr. M sicced his cronies on me to call me a "karen". For asking for a refund on an irder we never got and likely would not get the way things were going. Mr. M should have received my check by now for less than $5 to make up the difference between what I actually paid and the cash he shoved at me. He has not yet redeemed the check as of today (8/12/23) - I checked with my bank. And that's on him, too. May you have the life you deserve, Mr. M, and may your actions always reflect back on you. (Gave 3 stars because we never got the ice cream, just the "customer service".) read more

Had to try it and see what it was about. Overall very good experience. No, you don't have a ton of flavors like Braum's. Yes, it may be a little more expensive but not much more, you have sooooo many choices of toppings, and they are good! The ice cream is better than the average soft serve. It didn't have the ice crystals you get in some of the cheaper soft serves. Everyone in the family got something different and we all enjoyed. I got a Wednesday Adams with chocolate and vanilla mix but could really only taste chocolate. The cup is plenty for a person or to even share if you want to watch the calories (as best you can when throwing on the toppings). I do wish there was a way to get the toppings more spread throughout. They are all on top and go fast leaving you with only ice cream. Also service was a little slow, but they were busy. Space is also limited inside. Toppings issue and speed are my only reasons for not giving 5 stars. I liked the decor as I am a fan of horror movies. Will definitely go back. Might have to try a float and see if we can't create one with some toppings. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Concept 10/10 Execution 1/10 waited over 45 minutes for two ice creams once one was ready was told they were out of ingredients for the other and they made the first one wrong. They remade it and when I got in car to taste it tasted like sour milk. Called owner he was a completely jerk saying that I was the only one that complained about that and all his ingredients are fresh. He gets and attitude about it and acts like his business does nothing wrong wants me to drive up there and talk about it and he is going to take a poll of all the customers. The ice cream is over priced soft serve that tasted bad and they cannot even own up when they have an issue instead there owner wants to just get rude with customers. STAY AWAY Reply: I was never rude to your staff one time so stop making up stories to look like the victim in this situation. You are the rudest owner ever and never tried to find any middle ground at all. Don't paint your self the good guy here. Your staff was friendly and I was to them as well. I just visited The Ice Creamatory for the first time and let me just say I am extremely disappointed and appalled at the management. Let me clarify that the service was wonderful and the employees checking people out and making the ice cream were personable and did their jobs well, despite the heavy rush that was happening when I was there. They handled customers with grace and were very kind when informing us that the wait would be about 30 minutes. However, one of the owners - Jimmy - was extremely unprofessional and rude to one of his employees and my friend when we visited. We noticed as we were waiting that he was speaking to two customers and another employee (possibly the other owner, I'm not sure). We listened further and heard that he was chewing out the employee about not washing her hands when handling the ice cream. Let me be clear, the employees were NOT handling food directly with their hands. They scooped the cereal and ice cream with different scoops and mixed the ice cream with a mixer. One of the customers appeared to have complained and Jimmy brought the employee over to confront her IN FRONT of the customers. He was not kind in this interaction either. He called her out and belittled her for not washing her hands in between every step of making the ice cream. She was clearly bothered by the interaction and soon left to go help out the other employees who were - once again - in the middle of a HUGE rush. Jimmy then continued to belittle her to the customers and explain that she was not professional. This interaction then moved outside where he assuredly continued the conversation about her. Another employee (whose name I did not catch) continued to help us with our orders and apologized for the wait. We assured her that she was doing great and we were not at all bothered by the wait since they communicated it to us when we walked in the door. She was very kind and helpful. As we were leaving, one of the friends I was with confronted Jimmy and told him it was unprofessional to speak to an employee that way in front of customers and other employees. He responded that she "didn't know what was happening" and my friend replied that she in fact did and she was very unhappy with this interaction as it was rude and unnecessary. We then left and saw him talking to the employee he chewed out in front of the shop. 5/5 service from the employees - who were all young women - and 0/5 for the management. Extremely disappointed. EDIT: Jimmy also called out the employee after the interaction with the customers. She handed off an order and he said "Did you wash your hands?" She replied that she did and he said, quite loudly, "Are you sure??" She said yes and he walked away. Jimmy also did not help out his employees during this huge rush. He spoke to the customers outside as well as his (I assume) friends. He did not help take or make any orders. read more
