A fun find waking around the bricktown canal. Not only do they have a great selection of candy, the gelato is what caught my eye. We tried the mango gelato, cafe mocha, and my favorite pistachio! There was so much pistachio in this gelato, more than I've ever seen! read more

Bricktown Candy - Pistachio gelato! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

I absolutely love candy. There really isn't any candy I wouldn't eat. At home I always have an entire drawer full of candy all the time. Needless to say I was a little disappointed in the candy selection here. They did have a pretty decent variety of candy but some of the more popular candies were not available here (M&M's, Snickers, Reese's, Skittles, Kit Kat). Besides the candy options (variety of candy by the pound, Air Heads, Nerds, Blow Pops, Warheads, etc), they serve gelato. I sampled the strawberry cheescake gelato and it was delicious. The store clerk was nice and talkative. I ended up getting two Route 66 magnets and five candies. Total was $36. A little pricey to me. I would come back if in the area but I wouldn't buy too much from here again. read more

Was in the OKC area and had the craving for some ice cream! This place was a candy store with a variety of different gelato flavors. Surprisingly, I didn't see any of the basic gelato flavors. Instead, they had more specialized flavors! I got to try the strawberry cheesecake Gelato, and I gotta say, this is it. Usually, cheesecake flavors are a hit or miss with the flavors, but this place does it well. The gelato had CHUNKS of cheesecake inside. These were actual pieces of cheesecake that had been frozen inside the gelato, and it kept its own consistency. The gelato itself was already very dense, but combining the two really made the gelato stand out! read more

The gelato ice cream was amazing!!! I had butter pecan. Plus I love the service from the two young men that I met there... super sweet & very informative about their city and culture in Oklahoma. I loved every moment of it. The ambiance was your typical old school candy shop. It totally gave nostalgia vibes . Thank you guys read more

The front desk lady was on her phone the whole time, she wasn't rude but didn't say hi to us when we came in or any recognition of the sort. Gelato freezer was disgusting and the place was definitely not clean. Candy is way over priced but I understand because this is a tourist place. I would not come hear again. read more

Great selection of candy, great location but the gelato looked sus and the menu offered root beer floats but the cashier said they were not available. read more

Have a great selection and I found some candy that you can not find any where else, if you are looking for candy from back in the day this is your go to spot read more

Soda selection is okay but candy not so much. Candy they do have is too common and overpriced for what it is. Gelato was even more disappointing..Texture off, it's very sticky and not smooth like it should be, flavors dull. Just look at it you can tell something is wrong, maybe it's sitting too long. The store is quiet and empty. They try for retro character and cuteness, but rather falls kinda flat. And the lone super bored-looking young worker staring unceasingly while you shop made it feel more weird. We did like the classic pinball and video games along the one wall. And only a quarter per play is nice. But it doesn't make up for other shortcomings. I want to be wowed by a candy store. Make it an experience. Make it irresistible. It has to be a destination. This one needs work. read more

Great location. It does have candy and ice cream along with gelato. It just didn't seem to have the "fun" factor when thinking candy store. read more

Prices were a little high but the service was super friendly. It was warm inside the store the day we were there.

Walking around Bricktown trying to find things to do and this popped up. A candy store with Gelato!!! I've only had it once or twice before but I really liked the ice cream here! Large variety to choose from and the girl that helped us was very nice and friendly. We asked for recommendations on drinks and she suggested triple "AAA" it taste a lot different than regular soda since the pure cane sugar and all. I went with the cherry soda but prefer the regular Kola flavor soda, maybe because that's what I'm used to. Acquired taste? read more

This is the worst place to go ever my family and I went in there and October around the ninth it charged us twice for our order and here it is a month and a half later and I have still not received the refund back from them so when I say don't go here I mean don't go here because I will steal your money and they will not give it back read more

This place is a trip down candy lane. Offer a wide assortment of speciality, novelty, and discontinued items not easily found in stores. Also some vintage arcade games. The place needs some serious renovations and decorating but it has a lot of potential. I might be the only one who feels this way but it's kind of a great spot for a photo session with a significant other or kids. It's right next to the river/water. Didn't see a single staff member in the 30 minutes me and my friends were wandering around so can't comment on that. read more

Bricktown Candy - From the movie 13 going on 30!! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Neat place and nice location. Lots of candy selections, new and old. Gelato was good also.

I hopped in here on Friday to get a few Easter treats for Mr K. I'm not supposed to be spending any money until after we close on our new house, but c'mon, it was Easter, and I was within steps of a darling, locally-owned, owner-operated candy shop. Good think Mr K knows I'm not known for sticking to the rules, or the budget, or the diet for that matter! Well I had a chance to visit with the owner Justin, look through the wall of yummy candies sold by the pound, and talk a little bit of shop! I steered clear of the gelato, because I love gelato so much, one bite and I'm suddenly a full-on gelato monster, but it looked amazing! In the end, I settled on delicious gummy bears and cherry sours. In addition to all of this, he has his own brand of Root Beer, and also makes sandwiches, something he started for the ACM@UCO kids so they'd have something easy and affordable to get for lunch. You just fill out a little sandwich order form and walk out with it a few minutes later. Sandwich, chips and a choice of drink for $6.50. All in, a lovely experience right in the middle of Bricktown. read more

It is truly wonderful to have a candy store in Bricktown, especially one that has amazing service. Bricktown Candy Co. has a bit of a '50s soda shop feel to it, but with candy everywhere. They have a wide selection of candy from gummy bears and jelly beans to chocolate and pop rocks. You can find older candies that don't show up on most shelves anymore at the Candy Co. There is a wall of different candy that is sold by the pound, and you are able to mix and match on a few of them. They also have a jelly bean selection of at least 15 different flavors, and although jelly beans can be pricey, sometimes it is just worth it. In addition to all the candy, they also provide a wide selection of soda pop. Even if you don't want the soda, it is worth looking at some of the flavors. There are some crazy ones mixed in with the more recognizable ones like root beer. My absolute favorite part of Bricktown Candy Co. is their gelato. They change out the flavors occasionally depending on what is fresh and available, so don't get to attached to just one flavor. If like me you do get attached, have no fear: You can try samples to find a new favorite for the day. And did I mention that the flavors are all amazing? The gelato comes in three different sizes served in fun colored plastic bowls. And even if the gelato is hard to serve, the staff there are always happy to get it for you and are some of the most pleasant people you will get a chance to interact with. If you have kids or (like me) you wind up babysitting and need some place to take the kids, this is a great option. Definitely swing by and check out this place. It is just too good not to visit. read more

This little candy store is really a lot of fun. They have some old school arcade games which add personality to the store too! They carry quite a few different types of specialty candies and older candies that you wouldn't be able to find other places. They have lots of different taffy options, a huge jelly bean section, old fashioned stick candy, and they even serve gelato. Really, any candy lover would be able to find something they like here. The only downer, is there isn't very much chocolate. I'm assuming it's because it would melt but for a chocolate lover like me, it was a little bit of a bummer. But don't let that stop you! There is so much to love here... Stop by and grab a bag of candy to take home with you :) read more

Thought there would have been more variety of candies, other wise still a good shop. There are even some weird candies like a grasshopper in a lollipop, gross to me, might be cool to other people. Had a sample of their gelato. I agree with another yelper who said the gelato had an odd after taste. The gelato was even gooey like it had been sitting there for far too long. Variety of sodas you won't find in your local market which are affordable at $2 each. Don't forget to use yelp check-in to get 10% off. read more

While it was a month or so ago that I visited this candy hole, I strongly remember my Sunday experience. I would have to say the actual candy selection was limited at best for being a candy store, which sadly, it didn't stop there. What was available for purchase out of their clear bulk containers looked old and tasted so. None more then a quarter full, a few of the containers were completely empty except for a piece or two, and some of the candies were melted together in fist sized balls. I felt like this was the leavings from the canteen at camp. A wide selection of sodas were available, which I greatly appreciate. And a reasonably selection of gelato looked also picked over but still deliciously tempting, though I had none. The one redeeming factor of my visit? Customer service. Friendly and welcoming, double check. read more

Although pricey, this is the best gelato in bricktown. I've came through OKC a couple times and every time I do I make a stop here for some great gelato. The flavor is awesome. Some might argue the pricing is high but it's a quality thing not a quality thing with this place. Also check out the different types of root beer! Great place! read more

A fun fixture off the Bricktown Canal, this is the place to go when you get a generic sweet-toothed craving. With a varied assortment of gourmet sodas, (sometimes) off-the-wall gelato, and - yes - candy, even my indecisive nature can find that special something in the middle of the day. For those looking to pinch a penny, Candy Co. offers decent sack lunches and delectable soups quickly and for under a value meal price. The candy can be a bit on the pricey end, but who isn't willing to shell out a little more for chocolate that looks like a rock? read more

I can't really find a reason to give this any less than 5 stars. It's a small place and has a pretty hefty candy collection for its size, along with some stranger things like crickets (for eating, of course!). I went there for the gelato, though. Yum yum yum. They use sturdy plastic cups for it that are pretty colors @_@. I had bubblegum and it was delicious! I'm willing to venture that if you normally like any of the flavors they have, that you'll quite enjoy their stuff! Other than candy and gelato, there are shirts with the logo, candles, beef jerky, and some jams. Of course like most places with the same product, there are samples so that you can choose the flavor that fits your sparkling butterfly personality, sunshine face. read more

This place definitely took me back in time!!! I saw candy that I hadn't seen in so many years and I decided to indulge in a few of them. It was a bit expensive, but well worth the walk to the place. read more

This is one of the easiest 5 stars I've ever given. Not so much as a second thought. We came rather early in the morning, the girl behind the counter was ultra-nice, and the selection is fantastic, especially the sodas. We ended up walking further into Bricktown to eat, then coming back for gelato, which was great. I had the chili chocolate raspberry, and it was phenomenal. Large selection of candy. It's fun to play the pinball. My family loves gelato but I like to shop the sodas and Harry Potter candy.

There was not enough candy and items in this store to qualify me talking someone to "must see" I walked in and out. It resembles a candy store in every all across America Scratch that they have better selections. Also no worker greeted us and the flooring needed repaired and swept. They did however appear to have frozen somethings but I went thinking candy not icecream read more

Do you like candy? What about soda?! How about gelato? If you like any of these (and who doesn't), you MUST go here! They have a wide variety of candy to choose from... lollipops, sour stuff, taffy, gourmet chocolates, you name it! Soda too... tons of it! And the Gelato, well... it's incredible. My friends and I were on the hunt for some ice cream after eating at Zio's nearby, and Marble Slab had already closed. This was rather fortunate, as we had to search elsewhere to satisfy our sweet cravings. We chose Bricktown Candy Co! I am so glad we could try this place out. To our surprise, they DID have Gelato... and not just any Gelato. THE BEST GELATO I'VE EVER HAD! The owner (Justin) was extremely nice and friendly, and let us sample whatever we thought looked good until we settled on a selection. I had Cappuccino w/ White Chocolate Swirl, and a little Mixed Berry. Both were delicious. Come to Bricktown Candy Co and look around. You'll feel like a kid again! read more

What is it about scooping candy into a plastic bag that makes you feel 8-years-old again? I dragged my friends I was visiting in and even those disenchanted OKC transplants had fun making mix bags. I love the candy pop and gelato.

I love this place. They have the best gelato, and everyone is so friendly, although maybe not as friendly as the owner. I'm pretty sure he'd let you try every single type of gelato in the store if you asked. The gelato is clearly my favorite. I do know that they have a lot of candy. This is especially a good place to go to if you're looking for old-fashioned candy like Cherry Mash or rock candy. They don't have artisan chocolate--you'd go to Cocoflow for that, a couple of blocks north on Oklahoma Avenue. They also have pop made with real sugar. Some people care about that sort of thing. I just like the gelato. They don't have a big obvious sign, so don't miss it--it's right next door to Bourbon Street Grill. Oh! and they recycle. I see the owner at Greenstar Recycling sometimes. read more
