The waiter was extremely familiar with the menu and it was like he was reading our minds on what we would eat. The food was fabulous. We had ribeye steaks and the children had chicken fingers. The sides are good size and wonderfully delicious. Our waiter then helped out on picking our dessert. Highly recommend the Banana Foster's. What a memorable birthday weekend! I lost a whole bunch of money at Riverwind Casino but Ranch Steakhouse made up for it. I've been to the OKC location a few times in the past but this was the first time to the Norman location. The Norman location is fancier inside and outside. I loved the decorations, especially the fireplace at the entrance and lobby area. Our server was friendly and attentive. I had a Don Julio 1942 which had a nice sweet aroma. I could smell it every day, and I don't drink. I had the American wagyu ribeye steak, a hybrid of wagyu and black angus. This was one of the specials with the other being the Japanese Wagyu for $30 per oz, which I had the last time at the OKC location. The steak was cooked perfectly, medium rare, with a pink red interior. The meat was moist and tender. The only thing I didn't like about this cut was the large piece of fat in the steak, instead of being evenly distributed in the meat. I would recommend to either get the Japanese Wagyu or the regular ribeye because of the "unequal" distribution of fats. I got a free crème brûlée for my birthday. This has always been my favorite dessert on their menu. I also got my go-to appetizer and sides: rock shrimps, asparagus, and sautéed mushrooms. read more

Really good ribeye. Plates were served really hot and the steak was cooked exactly as requested. The creamed spinach with artichokes was a nice dish and the bread was good also. Service was very good and the atmosphere was comfortable but also slightly fancy. Good choice if you're in Norman. read more

Absolutely incredible. We went for a date night. We had a fabulous night. The food.... We started with the tomato and burrata salad. So creamy, light, perfect. My husband got the ribeye, and he ate every bit of it. I got the strip, and it was perfect, but so much food, There was no way I could eat all of it. The sides are family style, but our waitress, Amanda, suggested the sampler sides, which is not on the menu, but are 2 person portions. What a beautiful idea! We got the broccolini, au gratin potatoes, and bleu cheese and bacon brussels sprouts. again, everything was perfection. And then, even though we were incredibly full, we chose the bananas foster for dessert. Again, could not have been a better choice. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Excellent steak house but it is pricey! Luckily the boss paid. We shared the cocktail shrimp and they were very large and fresh. I got the NY Strip, medium rare and it was tender and flavorful. Boss got a Ribeye and he ate every last bite. I don't usually see him clean his plate. We had garlic mashed potatoes that actually were a little flat in my book. Not much garlic taste and I wish they had more butter flavor. The okra was nice and crisp and had a good touch of salt. Tried the raspberry chocolate cake and it was delicious and moist. Moved on to escargot for a starter, pretty good. Then I went for the 14 oz ribeye, a great steak. We ordered a cabernet franc to wash it all down. Crazy expensive but it was really great. 10 oz filet 10/10 but not 30 dollars better than my wife's $45 Sirloin. You would think a side of some kind or a salad might come with a $72 dollar steak but nope. The $12 family style order of Rosemary fries was a single serving at best but fries should never be the star of a show like this. The $12 salad was amazing. Complimentary sourdough bread wad spot on. $4 coke. $5 domestic. Ambiance great, Wait staff great. We had a gift certificate to ease the pain of a $250 dollar tab for 3 people. The food was FANTASTIC!!! The filet mignon were prepared excellent: one medium, and one medium plus (which was mine and I had not heard of this, just excellent!!!). Onion soup wonderful, brussels spouts can't be missed!!! We would come back to Norman for this dinner from Southern Cal! Not going to lie, this place is not for the weak of wallet. However, we were in the middle of a biter winter storm and this was one of the only places open at that time. I had the Sirloin with some au-graten potatoes. FREAKING delicious. The meat was fantastic. Hell, even the bread alone was great. So yeah, if you feel fancy and want to seduce the taste buds with great meat this is it. ALWAYS LOOK AT YOUR CHECK TOTAL BEFORE LEAVING this restaurant! After dinner at the bar, when the check, my husband put a line through the tip line because the tip was left on the table. He paid with his credit card, totaled it with the dinner total only and left. The following day, our credit card company notified us that a 42% tip had been put on our tab. I called the manager who had to research the situation and called me back. She said she saw that we placed a line through the tip total. My wife and I had dinner at Ranch Steakhouse a few years ago for a special occasion since we know it's a pricey place, but the food was great. Not so much this time, I was able to eat about $25 worth of my $50 steak (the cheapest available) this was the stringiest steak I can remember getting from a steak house and my river steak was the same, also the brussel sprouts were tough, they could learn a thing or two from Pub W on brussel sprouts. Very delicious high quality steakhouse that is a must visit on your trip to Norman. The waitstaff was nothing but fantastic and had great recommendations for food. The wine selection is extensive and there is a cellar at the front of the restaurant. I will definitely be visiting next time I am looking for an upscale dinner near Norman. read more

If you dine at the Norman location see if you can sit in Josh's section as he was as impeccable in service as the food. The tomato And Burrata salad was among the best I've ever had. The 35 day aged ribeye ...off The chart as were the other prime steaks such as the 7, 10 and 16 ounce fillets. Dessert -crème brûlée..... get it. You won't be sorry. We were discriminated at this restaurant on Christmas Eve. The salad was ok, watery and didn't have enough dressing. Everything else was fine. I ordered a ribeye and my husband ordered a sirloin. Both undercooked and rare when ordered medium. I couldn't cut into my ribeye and it didn't have any marbling. Steak was very tough. Sent the steak back. I wasn't offered a small plate to eat sides on while I waited. We were ignored by waitstaff for over 45 minutes while I could have used something to drink. They didn't clear plates either. The waitstaff were attending to everyone except us. I watched it diligently for 45 minutes. I told the manager and she said "we're really busy inside the restaurant." Not something you say. I told her I had watched the waitstaff serve everyone else. At the end of the night I had to find the server to give him my credit card and he refused to talk to me. It was bizarre. Evidently they don't like disabled veterans to dine at their restaurant and the manager had a bad attitude to remove taxes when my husband is tax exempt. Mu husband and I came for our anniversary and will not be back. The service was fine, but the food was severely lacking. We started with Shishito peppers which was just charred peppers with a side of jazzed up ranch. I got the sirloin medium-rare with garlic butter. When I cut into it it was very tough, tendony and very rare. Our waiter told me that if I wanted it cooked a little more I could flip it over on my hot plate... Decedent desserts, all steaks are PRIME. The Sirloin is very good, but the Ribeye is even better. One of my favorites is the Lobster Campallini. Oh yes, it's good. Take enough money. This is a beautiful restaurant if you are in the restaurant side. The bar area is basically a sports bar( makes sense in Sooner country)... lots of tvs, which take away from the ambience a dine steakhouse should have. We shared the chicken fried prime tenderloin, which was very good... loved it. It's very easy to share as it is a huge portion. We started with the escargot which was a disappointment. The presentation was not done well and the croutons with it were quite mediocre. We also tried the onion rings which had a crisp coating but were quite doughy next to the onion rings which were undercooked. To the restaurant's credit, they did take them off the bill when I told the waiter we were disappointed . We were there on a Tuesday night. I can't say enough about this place. I went to the location in Norman, OK walked in and knew I was at a great place! I was greeted promptly and sat at the bar. It was dressed with some balsamic drizzle and the pairing of the tomatoes and cheese was a great way to start the meal off. Just FYI, I'm pretty picky when it comes to my steaks and I'm willing to find a great steak no matter the price. The 24oz dry aged porterhouse that I got was amazing!!!! It was cooked to my desired medium rare perfectly. The seasoning on top was heavy and course, but fit this style of steak perfectly while being topped with a little butter to add that rich flavor that brought out the aged steak taste. I can honestly say this is one of my favorite steaks that I have ever eaten. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Norman area or passing through!! Well worth every penny dropped. I also had a whiskey sour with my meal. I knew it was done right when it was made with egg whites. The bar was nice and classy. This place is perfect for a date night, meeting, or a casual night out. Lots to like here. Ambiance is great, service is exceptional, cocktails were really good. Maybe my review of the food should be ignored by most -- who come for steaks. I didn't order a steak. The grilled salmon on a pesto risotto was... well, OK. The salmon was overcooked by more than just a little, and the risotto texture was a long way off, watery and too salty. The Brussels sprouts were fine, but not a long ways above average Probably I made a bad order on an off night. I am not prone to leave picky reviews. Maybe my expectations for the food were too high, based on the first-class atmosphere and service. I will try again and have a steak, and I bet my view on The Ranch changes. read more

I had a full dinner in leftovers, which made my husband happy because it wasn't exactly cheap meal (but worth every penny!) I'd rather pay a little more and get amazing food. Pasta Bolognese was not oily or greasy, others I have tried can be because of the type of meat. The appetizer was Fried calamari and the batter was nice, but the actual calamari was over-cooked and not much flavor. Steak plates come out VERY hot, use caution when trying to move these plates. Our server asked if we were celebrating anything and I told her but interestingly it never made a difference, so why ask if it's never mentioned again? Usually higher end establishments acknowledge through out your experience. But she really was a great server. My FIL and I ordered crab cakes and they were delicious and the sauce was amazing. My husband and MIL's steak were great. Then there were the sides. The creamed spinach was cold, like really cool and scallop potatoes were barely lukewarm and both the cheese toppings on these were hard. We had to peel all the cheese off of it in one hard gloop. First time dining here. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. I was with my coworker and we decided to eat at the bar. Sat down and we were greeted by Charlotte the bar tender. A very nice lady with a great attitude. We had a couple of drinks and ordered som calamari. Almost perfect. The didn't have the tentacles only the rings. That's the only flaw of my experience here. The seasoning was outstanding. I had the wedge salad with blue cheese dressing and Au Gratin potatoes. Now to the steak. A 10oz Fillet cooked rare with a little Pittsburgh style. How could you go wrong with that. It was absolutely perfect. The entire experience was outstanding.
