Top-notch steakhouse with great sides (like the scalloped potatoes), the beef tamales are amazing, awesome bread and butter, wide variety of wines and beverages, amazing desserts like the sorbet, stylish red-tinted interior that is very artistic and plenty of tables, and excellent service by Capri. Very highly recommended!

Steak pepper crusted, Chile Mac, loaded mashed potatoes, Burgundy mushroom sauce.

In my opinion it was a TINY bit overrated. The mashed potatoes were amazing but the steak was good but definitely didn't meet the expectations I had set for it honestly. My waitress did forget my salad but honestly there was a wine discussion happening and i understand how it could've been forgotten..

Red PrimeSteak is a beautiful, inviting restaurant. We went for my friend's birthday, she reserved the party room with an intended reservation time of 8pm. The party before us ran super behind and we weren't sat until 9:30pm, the restaurant closes at 10. Our apps were delicious. The crab cakes and caviar dip were two of my favorites! I highly recommend grabbing drinks and appetizers from here. I wasn't the biggest fan of my main entree, the Lobster Crusted Sea Bass, a solid 4/10. The taste of butter was overwhelming. Overall fun experience, just a few run-ins. Definitely going back for apps!

My brother was looking for some place special for his birthday so we decided to take him to Red Prime and as usual I was impressed. This was my 4th time and I've not been disappointed once. Our server, Andrew, did a wonderful job guiding us through the menu and off-menu specials. He answered every question and was most helpful making cocktail suggestions. He was also very patient with us as we were the last ones there at the end of the night. I had the prix fixe with beef tenderloin tamales, 14 oz ribeye, creamed corn and chocolate dessert. He had the bone-in cowboy ribeye with loaded mashed potatoes and asparagus and his date had a ribeye as well. We had various crusts and sauce and everyone enjoyed their meal. Red PrimeSteak is my go to steakhouse in OKC. I do enjoy some of the other places such as Mahogany but this is my personal preference because of ambiance and service.

Signed birthday note with one of their cocktails

We went to Red PrimeSteak last night to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a special experience! We had a private room upstairs, and when I sat down there was a "Happy Birthday" paper signed by all the staff--such a thoughtful touch. For starters, we tried the beef tenderloin (gluten free), and when it came out, the manager made sure to let me know it was the celiac order, which I really appreciated. The tamale was a little tricky at first, but once our server explained how to open it, it was easy--and totally worth it. I shared bites with my husband and family, and everyone agreed it was absolutely delicious. For my main dish, I went with the 18 oz bone-in Ribeye, paired with smoked bacon creamed corn and mushroom risotto ( both gluten free) with bone marrow butter. Both sides were rich, flavorful, and amazing. Since it was my birthday, they surprised me with a complimentary gluten-free dessert--a crème brûlée for two, topped with fresh berries. It was heavenly, and I shared it around the table (with lots of happy spoons joining in). Our server was fantastic--he made sure every order was perfect, every bill was correct, and even took a family photo for us at the end. He suggested the staircase for the picture, and he was right--it was the best spot. The restaurant itself is dimly lit with a modern vibe and lots of red lighting, which really adds to the atmosphere. Everyone in my family loved the food and the experience, and we all agreed we'd definitely come back. My husband and I especially left saying, "That was so good!" A wonderful spot for a celebration.

Came for happy hour! This is a beautiful, modern restaurant. Lots of people here celebrating birthdays. We enjoyed the bar seating. It was nice and quite perfect for a date or meeting up with a friend. I ordered the red mojito! One of the best mojitos I've ever had, the black cherry infused rum was chef's kiss! Also had the happy hour burger, was shocked with all the toppings. It was hearty and a solid deal for $12 only thing is it tasted a little burnt around the edges. The fries were also a little overcooked but liked the Parmesan garlic seasoning.

Still dreaming about this delicious dinner! The prix fixe menu was just what I needed to taste all the things & I enjoyed every. single. one. My steak was cooked perfectly and the sorbet I chose for dessert was the perfect way to end the meal. I'm obsessed with the red vibes of the restaurant. Our waitress was amazing and gave us some great recommendations. Definitely saving this place as a top steakhouse to revisit!

The prix fixe menu is fantastic!! It has gotten more expensive over the years (thanks inflation) but is still a great deal. I love that you can substitute sides that are on the main menu without extra cost as well!! Favorites: RP's tomatoes Tamales Lobster tail Next time I would skip the pecan ball ice cream- it was literally a pint of ice cream and I felt bad we couldn't finish it! Overall, this is my favorite steakhouse for the value, the excellent service, and the delicious taste!

Chop House Salad

We went for a late valentines dinner and ordered off of the prix fixe menu. It was a really good deal! We started off with some drinks. The chop salad was delicious, a very unique salad and I loved the flavors. The filet mignon was amazing and the potato gratin paired well with it. We also got these buttery rolls which were so soft. Finally we got the spoon cake and it was warm and chocolatey and so good! Service was great and the vibes were everything. Love the red lighting inside, super unique. Will definitely be back!

Went for my birthday. Delicious food and excellent service. Chairs were a tad uncomfortable but otherwise everything was great! Parmesan salad, filet, some amazing green chili Mac n cheese, and chocolate cake! They even brought me a complimentary birthday mocktail!

Red has been my KRYPTONITE lately. Last week, it was Red Door Grille and now Red PrimeSteak. Had a blast for my birthday at this steakhouse. Walked in, got seated, immediately the waitress complimented me on my RED bow tie, which I personally picked out to wear for this special occasion. Deja vu all over again and my heart sank the second time. At this rate, I might have a premature heart attack soon. My mind told me again, "Oh no, this is going to be another 5 stars. Nothing else matters, not the food, not the service, and definitely not the ambiance." Or is it? We all got the Basil Hayden Old Fashioned and we all liked it. Everything was going great until the jumbo shrimp cocktail came out. Decent size but ONLY 5 shrimps. REALLY? Luckily, the sides (Brussels sprouts and asparagus) were fairly shareable as they were of decent size. I had the wagyu filet 8 oz. This was one of the best piece of steak I've had. The steak was cooked perfectly, medium rare. The steak was soft and melted in your mouth with each bite. LOVED IT. We got a free dessert for my birthday so I picked the Baked Alaska. The candle/light on the dessert was awesome, much better than the dessert itself. Sometimes during our dining, another server from a different section came over and complimented on my bow tie. It was this compliment that signed, sealed, and delivered for me. Instant 5 stars and I didn't care about the food or price by that time.

Crab cakes

If you want a night out at a high-end steakhouse where the food matches the prices, then this is the place for you!! The service is top notch, the portions are huge, and you can taste the quality of ingredients! Morgan waited on me, and she couldn't have been better. So nice, knew the menu, and if I had questions she didn't know the answer to, she found out for me!! Appetizer: crab cakes So delicious - full of crab and light on filler. Everything a crab cake should be. And the mustard sauce served with them is so tangy and compliments perfectly. My only critique is it needs more, so I asked for extra haha Entree: bone-in ribeye Perfectly cooked, juicy, tender, and most of all, flavorful. Then, add the blue cheese crust and out comes perfection. The loaded mashed potatoes came out super hot and were a great compliment as they were creamy and so delicious. No complaints here. Dessert: chocolate spoon cake with homemade caramel. Such a great end to a phenomenal dinner. Rich, sweet, and fabulous. Be sure to give this place a try for a special occasion or if you just want to treat yourself, like I did ‍

Red Mojito

My husband and I went to Red Prime to celebrate my birthday. It was top notch all around. You can either choose to go super elegant or business casual and feel at ease. The entire staff was very welcoming. Our waiter, Brison was knowledgeable and answered all our questions regarding the menu. He was attentive throughout our dining experience. I ordered the Red Mojito that was an absolutely delight! My husband and I both chose to order from the Prix Fixe menu. He ordered the Chop House Salad for his appetizer. It was plentiful and delicious. The warm, herbed rolls were mouth watering. He ordered the 7oz filet (medium-rare) with no crust or sauce so he could taste the quality of the steak. It was perfect! He also loved the Horseradish Potato Gratin. I had the RP's Tomatoes which was their version of a Caprese salad. I forgot to take a picture of the appetizers but we would order both again and again. I feel like I had the star of the show with my Lobster Crusted Seabass. It was absolutely delectable and perfectly cooked. My side item was the Bacon-Sherry Brussel Sprouts. They were good but I've had better. To end the meal we ordered the Chef's Sorbet which came with a scoop of mango, strawberry and raspberry sorbet with fresh fruit. So good, but the warm Chocolate Spoon Cake was great! This was our first time at Red Prime and won't be our last. If it were just a little less expensive we would be regulars.

Our waiter was attentive and did a great job of explaining the menu, etc. I did feel he was subtly upselling simultaneously but it wasn't overkill. We started with the shrimp cocktail and it was a good size with very large shrimp. The horseradish was strong! One of my party took a big old scoop the first time, and it was quite entertaining. We all had the filet and it was one of the best filets I've had. Probably in my top 5, maybe even top 3. It was very tender and seasoned well. They put so much butter on it that your plate has a layer-I wishes that wasn't so much. For sides we had mushrooms, Brussels and a gratin potatoes. The mushrooms were really good. The Brussels were fried and just too greasy for me. Though the sauce on them appeared to be tasty. I didn't try the potatoes but I was told they were really good. For dessert we had the Mahogany cheesecake. This was pretty amazing! It's essentially their cheesecake with a crust (think creme brûlée top) around the whole thing. With some whip cream, chocolate sauce and some boozy berries. Pretty. Damn. Good. If I lived local, this would be my go to for a steak. If you're in town or local, go get some. This was a nice touch, but the restaurant was nearly empty and they still sat us so we were like 3 feet behind one of two other tables. Since we were both on the same side of the booth, we were both staring directly at the back of some lady's head, which I'm sure made both tables uncomfortable. Overall a nice gesture though. The appetizers were kinda whack. French Onion Soup - Exactly what you would expect (in a good way). Burrata Caprese - Very uninspired. Big chunks of blandness. I usually get blown away by Burrata dishes. The Hamilton has one that tastes like crack. Symmetry's Burrata tastes and feels like something I made trying to use stuff in the fridge. Nothing wrong with it, just totally boring. $49 Steak Tartare - Because I am a moron I was intrigued by this absurdly expensive appetizer. When I playfully inquired about the price, the server acted like my question was preposterous because it's locally sourced filet or something blah blah, like I was supposed to know that (she was overall pleasant though). The "table service" is just a guy cracking an egg on it and mixing it together for 10 seconds (he was pleasant too). It also gave us both serious indigestion (avoiding TMI), which is rare for me because I have an iron gut. Maybe it wasn't the tartare, but if it was some other item, that's even more sus. I ordered the pork chop and my gf ordered the sea bass. Both were pretty good and impressive both compositionally and flavor-wise. I especially liked the red & green chimichurri; it kept things interesting throughout the meal. We ordered a variety of sides which were all decent. For dessert we got a cheesecake, which was yummy and it also had "Happy Anniversary" on it, which was sweet. I actually proposed at this restaurant so I will remember it forever, the good and the bad. The ambiance and vibe are great, but some things need some tuning. I don't feel like it quite delivers at this price point, but it's close. I get that sourcing is important blah blah, but that's background noise if the fundamentals are off. I would suggest scrapping the $49 Steak Tartare entirely as it is a lie, and potentially a biohazard, in favor of a normal Steak Tartare. The Burrata also needs to wow or at least be above average. Appetizers calibrate expectations and ultimately skew the rest of the meal, both positively or negatively. I like what they're attempting to do but it's not quite there in a city with so many good options at that price point.

Redrock Canyon Grill - Lake Hefner…read more First visit--and I can confidently say this place just earned a spot in our regular date night rotation. We walked in to a packed house, which is always a good sign, but were seated immediately. From there, the experience never missed a beat. Beverly took care of us and was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaged. You can tell when someone enjoys what they do, and it shows. We started with margaritas, and when Beverly said they were "perfect," she wasn't overselling it. Smooth, well-balanced, and served ice cold. We're both olive fans, so of course we asked for extras--and they delivered without hesitation. Going in, we made a deal: appetizers or dessert--not both. After hearing about the pineapple upside-down cake with vanilla ice cream, that decision was made pretty quickly. For the main course, Beverly walked us through the menu and the weekly specials: * Rainbow trout with roasted peppers and cucumber salad * 14 oz peppercorn crusted steak with mashed potatoes, broccoli & parmesan I know my wife--steak was the obvious choice for her. I went with the trout. Both dishes were excellent. The trout was cooked perfectly with a light, flavorful sauce that didn't overpower the fish, and the vegetables were fresh and well-prepared. The steak was cooked just right, full of flavor, and paired perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes and broccoli finished with parmesan. What really elevated the night was the hospitality. Kirsten, the manager, stopped by to check on us and took the time to have a genuine conversation. She shared details about patio seating and upcoming live music nights, which we're already planning to come back for. Then came a surprise--she graciously covered our dessert. A classy move that didn't go unnoticed. And that pineapple upside-down cake? Warm, soft, topped with melting vanilla ice cream... absolutely worth skipping the appetizers for. The Bottom Line: Great food, exceptional service, and a relaxed but polished atmosphere right on Lake Hefner. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, this is the kind of place that makes you want to come back. Highly recommend for a date night or a nice evening out.

There was an OKC thunder watch party on the patio, so we sat there and enjoyed the game. The inside had a more laid back environment, but I enjoyed the patio. The food was really good too! Most of us got burgers, but we also enjoyed some good appetizers. Highly recommend the dip platter to start. Our server was really nice and attentive, despite the chaos of the watch party and a busy night. Highly recommend coming here for the food and events they host!

The food was outstanding--especially the crab cake on the steak and cake, which had a wonderful lemony sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The only drawback was that the lobster on the lobster tower was a bit tough, but the shrimp, crab legs, and oysters were all excellent. I'd order everything again exactly the same. My husband and son split the Japanese Wagyu Carving Board and absolutely loved both the Wagyu and the Angus. They also raved about the lobster mac and cheese. The banana pudding cake was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed on a Wednesday night at 5:30 PM, and the bar--attached but still separate--was lively without affecting the dining room. Service was attentive without being overbearing. I would definitely recommend this place and will absolutely return!

The patio space in the front was very secluded and lush, we had it entirely to ourselves. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. They even brought out a water bowl with ice for our pups. We loved our drinks. My espresso martini was boozy and not too sweet with a love whipped topping on top. Her Road to Hana was very refreshing and the pineapple tajin garnish hit the spot. Quick shout out to the dinner rolls and butter. I was starving so this held me over while our shareables came out. The Spicy Caesar was nice, loved the hit of heat that came with it. The Chicken Pepperjack Strudel, a signature dish, was really really good. Just wish it was warmer in the center but yea definitely order this. Juan's queso is not a typical queso dish. First, it's real cheese and it comes with a black bean puree, salsa verde, and avocado thinly sliced on top. We loved it, especially my wife. If you're in search of a higher end dining experience in OKC, Cheever's is a must.

I came here with a large group of about 8 of us with a reservation made early on. We were seated in a nice, private room and had an overall very lovely experience! First of all, our server Trey was just spot on with all of his recommendations. He recommended the crab cakes, the halibut, and anything that came with the spicy shrimp risotto. Our table got crab cakes to start, and this was probably my favorite dish of the evening! The crab cake was large, fluffy, and full of lump crab topped with a spicy and delicious salsa verde and pico. For the entree I ordered the halibut which was cooked well, but the side of spicy shrimp risotto definitely stole the show (as Trey accurately predicted). Most of our party ordered this and everyone was pretty happy with it! For dessert, our table shared chocolate cake and the coconut creme pie. The chocolate cake was very rich and was probably one of the best chocolate cakes I've had, and I'm not a big chocolate cake person. I still definitely preferred the coconut creme pie, which I would order again next time! Our service was fantastic for the evening, and when Trey tells you to order something, trust him and do it!

We tried their version of a salmon sushi roll, it wasn't bad. Rice was fried. Our steaks were so flavorful and tender! We decided to try the onion rings and green chili cream corn as our sides. I wished the corn was a little sweet. Onion rings were good but not the best I've had. Old fashioned cocktail was on point though! They delivered an anniversary multi-layered red velvet cake. Pretty tasty. I would definitely return and order the same steaks just with different sides.
