Great little place. The food was excellent and the service was fast and pleasant. I will definitely be back!

One of my favorite American food restaurants in Oklahoma City. Atmosphere takes me back to when things were cheap and times were easy. Friendly staff who can represent good old down home hospitality. Can't beat the prices anywhere in the city. I loved the Specialty burgers which come on a brioche bun. Excellent meatloaf, great catfish. The sirloin steak dinner is a dish I can't stay away from. Chicken fried steak and chicken has no equal. Don't go anywhere else if you think you're an expert on chicken-fried-anything. Another cool thing about this place is they have karaoke every Tuesday night. Great for those who want to try their vocal talents in front of a small friendly crowd of like-minded people.

So went back today, they took the Philly cheese steak off the menu...I got chili, I think it was from a can, but the salad was good.

Little greasy spoon type diner. Food was decent. Server was nice. Nothing super fancy but the prices and service were good.

The patio space in the front was very secluded and lush, we had it entirely to ourselves. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. They even brought out a water bowl with ice for our pups. We loved our drinks. My espresso martini was boozy and not too sweet with a love whipped topping on top. Her Road to Hana was very refreshing and the pineapple tajin garnish hit the spot. Quick shout out to the dinner rolls and butter. I was starving so this held me over while our shareables came out. The Spicy Caesar was nice, loved the hit of heat that came with it. The Chicken Pepperjack Strudel, a signature dish, was really really good. Just wish it was warmer in the center but yea definitely order this. Juan's queso is not a typical queso dish. First, it's real cheese and it comes with a black bean puree, salsa verde, and avocado thinly sliced on top. We loved it, especially my wife. If you're in search of a higher end dining experience in OKC, Cheever's is a must.

I came here with a large group of about 8 of us with a reservation made early on. We were seated in a nice, private room and had an overall very lovely experience! First of all, our server Trey was just spot on with all of his recommendations. He recommended the crab cakes, the halibut, and anything that came with the spicy shrimp risotto. Our table got crab cakes to start, and this was probably my favorite dish of the evening! The crab cake was large, fluffy, and full of lump crab topped with a spicy and delicious salsa verde and pico. For the entree I ordered the halibut which was cooked well, but the side of spicy shrimp risotto definitely stole the show (as Trey accurately predicted). Most of our party ordered this and everyone was pretty happy with it! For dessert, our table shared chocolate cake and the coconut creme pie. The chocolate cake was very rich and was probably one of the best chocolate cakes I've had, and I'm not a big chocolate cake person. I still definitely preferred the coconut creme pie, which I would order again next time! Our service was fantastic for the evening, and when Trey tells you to order something, trust him and do it!

The kind of place that knows exactly what it is. The hospitality was exceptional. The host made me feel genuinely welcomed, and my server was knowledgeable, warm, and clearly passionate about the chef and the menu. Not a rehearsed performance, real enthusiasm. That's rare. I ordered the chef's signature: sea bass with black rice. The fish was perfectly executed, delicate, flaky, with a sear that gave the skin just the right amount of texture. The black rice was earthy and dramatic, the ideal counterpoint. Every element on that plate had a reason to be there. Some restaurants impress you. This one made me feel like I was exactly where I was supposed to be. Come for the sea bass. You'll be back for everything else. 10/10 -- Return without hesitation.

For the price they were charging, I was expecting the food to taste better than it did. They charged $7 for a prawn that was just a regular shrimp. I ordered them grilled but it came out burnt. Just not enjoyable. We wanted to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday so we brought our own cake, but we were surprised with a cake cutting fee regardless if we or they cut it. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience from top to bottom. But I will say that my server tried his best to make it a better experience.

I was delighted to find out that our hotel was only 2 miles from this highly acclaimed restaurant. Upon entering, I immediately felt the welcoming atmosphere. We were warmly greeted by the host. The inside is lovely, modern and well laid out. It's perfect for date night or hanging with friends. The host chatted with us, explained the restaurant concept, and answered all my questions. We got the Baked Chèvre for our appetizer. It was layered with flavor and a most delicious and perfect bite for a cold evening. My entree was the Rainbow Trout. The fish had crispy skin and was moist, flaky, and well seasoned. The broad bean mixture served with it was equally delicious. The hubby had Honey Roasted Lavender Chicken which he declared to be one of the best chicken dishes he's ever had. He even raved over the vegetables that came with it. Of course I also had to try dessert. I loved my warm spice cake with a scoop of ice cream and swirls of buttery caramel rum sauce. The cake was so moist and paired perfectly with the sauce and ice cream. Our wait staff was friendly and professional. I forgot to jot down names so I could give them a shout out. Excellent staff is always a part of an excellent dining experience. This was just a delightful experience. The host even gave us the name of some nearby live music venues that we enjoyed later that evening. We will certainly return here the next time we are in OKC. Just don't go here…read more I've lived here for 5 years and by far the worst restaurant experience I have had in Oklahoma, and if you see my other reviews I'm pretty forgiving and tend to give spots the benefit of the doubt. This is a place worth an absolute flaming of a review.... But they already wasted enough of my time and energy today so I'll just summarize. No management on scene, no hostess, one server, two bartenders and a restaurant at 50% capacity on Mother's Day at 1 p.m. From walking in to having our orders taken, 30 minutes. 45 minutes later our order of roasted vegetable salad, steak eggs Benedict, and sourdough toast arrived. Salad was very well burnt but my mom was trying to be nice and didn't want to walk out. Eggs Benedict came out with two eggs boiled through, a hollandaise sauce with a sour smell and cold steak. I didn't eat it and no one seemed to notice, had it removed from my bill easy enough, but again zero F's given and no management showed daylight. Wife's toast actually arrived 5 minutes after the 'rest' of the food and the only thing hot and delicious. Toast here is $11, so there's that. No one cares here. From the health violations and poor food safety I saw in the kitchen, the multiple tables I witnessed sending back food to the multiple parties puzzled as to why they weren't being sat or once they were entirely ignored... it was so wildly bad I was embarrassed for everyone else having the same experience. Again, don't go.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was super friendly and welcoming, which set the tone for a great dining experience. We ordered at the counter and were seated while our food was freshly prepared. The burgers? Absolutely delicious! Each one came on a buttery toasted bun with a thick, juicy beef patty cooked to perfection. Topped with melty cheese, crisp lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and creamy mayo--it was everything you'd want in a classic burger. The seasoned fries were fresh and flavorful--crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. My only wish? That the combo came with a few more fries (they were that good!). While the soda fountain was temporarily out of order, the team quickly made up for it by offering canned sodas, which was a nice touch of customer service. I also recently learned you can customize your burger with extras like a fried egg or even go all out with chili if you're feeling bold. Same goes for the fries--you can deck them out with chili, cheese, peppers, and more! Today was just a simple meal with the family, but we all left full and satisfied. For great burgers, friendly service, and a laid-back vibe, we give The Garage a solid 10 out of 10. Highly recommend!
