Sunday Brunch at Rococo. We thought we would break out of our normal Sunday brunch routine and try something new. That took us to Rococo on Western. It's a lovely venue with a nice bar. In fact, they have a wood burning, free standing fireplace in the front of the restaurant facing Western, which is out of site from the majority of the restaurant. Seating in that area can be reserved. I ordered A Bloody Marry. It was OK, but not one of my favorites. The price was right. Jan ordered a momossa, and it was good, more bubbly than orange juice, which is normally not the case. We both had the Chicken Fried pork Chop. It comes with black beans, pan fried diced potatoes and a fruit cup. The pork chop, covered in brown gravey, was very good. The black beans were dry and lifeless. The diced potatoes were OK, but nothing to write home about. The fruit cup was enjoyable. Really liked the venue. It's nicely appointed and confortable. It has a nice vibe. This is a very quaint place right next to Sushi Neko. I have been in this area before but didn't notice it. I am glad we tried it. The waitress was so very cheerful and helpful. My drink (Rococo Water) hit the spot. The only reason I cannot give it five stars is because the fish and chips was lacking. It should have been called fish nuggets and chips on the menu. My friend and I decided to try this place for lunch. I have been eyeing it for a while. We started with oysters. We did half east and half west coast. Both were yummy. It didn't come with full saltine crackers though. Just the tiny crackers I'm used to putting in soup. Not a big deal but think I'd prefer crackers. For the main dish, we split the lobster roll with slaw and brussel sprouts. I appreciate when a restaurant splits the food for you if you are sharing. The lobster roll had a great flavor. Wish it was a bit bigger for the price point. Sprouts were good. The inside of the restaurant is nice. Appears to have a decent patio as well. No issues with service. read more

This place was worth the coins. Tons of seafood options, even shark sausage (which I don't condone but it was yummy...). Service was solid, can't complain about that at all. Our waitress was very friendly and knew her stuff. The ambiance was good. We went for a business dinner and everyone enjoyed themselves. Stopped by Rococo on Western today for a late lunch. Ordered the amazing Clam Chow-Da as Chef Bruce like to call it. Truly a very good dish. I had a hard time finishing my Double Cheese Burger on top of the Clam Chowder. I have to tell you. Rococo's Doible Cheese Burger Rivals an in the OKC area. It is truly the best I've had in OKC. My first time to have the burger. It was incredible. I had his amazing Rueben Sandwich. Incredible as well. I was explaining why the food here is so delicious. Its ALL FRESH. No canned no made it yesterday and served it today. It's fresh. You truly can taste the difference. Lots of love, skill and a heart to please those who eat in his restaurant. His Italian Grinder Sandwich is also a delight of fresh Artesan Bun and sliced meats and cheese. French Onion soup lovely good.. If you want a place to dine a know you'll eat the freshest and best. I would forego the salmon pastrami next time, as the smoked salmon was much better. The dishes were creative without being over the top. Went in on a rainy Friday evening with reservations for a party of three. We had no wait to be seated and were placed near a window with couch style seating, which was comfy and chic. The noise level was acceptable. We ordered the Sharkuterie board from the recently revamped menu as a starter. It was visually appealing and tasty. For main courses we ordered lobster Mac, meatballs, and risotto. All three were excellent. The high point of the experience was our server Ben. He was attentive, offered solid suggestions, and was friendly to boot. I will definitely be back and suggest you give it a shot too. read more

Seafood imported every other day at least so you know it's fresh- even tastes it! Small parking lot with maybe 20 to 30 parking spots so be sure to arrive early to your planned dinner time to make sure you get a parking spot. The crab cakes and lobster rolls were very good!! Had a nice Sunday dinner at Rococo with a couple of friends - the vibe was nice, quiet, and relaxed. Our waiter was knowledgeable of the menu and was happy to recommend items to us (which we loved). For appetizers we ordered the oysters, crab cake, and calamari. Everything was fresh and tasty. The oysters didn't need any special sauces. For dinner, we ordered the Lamb and also shared the Catch of the Day (perch). They very nicely brought our split meal out on two plates. Again, everything was so yummy and light! Rococo Western delivered the most delightful brunch for hubby and I today. Being cooped up in the house from the latest snow storm, we decided to treat ourselves to a place we hadn't been to in a while. Rococo has a great oyster on the half shell menu and we loved the Blue oysters today. Also the hangover pasta and shrimp and grits are yummy! My Bloody Mary was infused with a vodka made in house and the complexity of the flavors made the drink that much more enjoyable. Everything was outstanding! We were celebrating my mom's birthday and they had a card waiting for her at the table. The food was awesome, we had fried clams , clam fritters, and clams in a light butter sauce, is usually served with a garlic cherry pepper sauce, for appetizers, we asked our waiter if we could get just the garlic sauce on the side he said yes, but when he delivered the sauce it was the cherry pepper sauce and when we tried to ask for just the garlic he kept cutting us off to the point we asked if we could finish our sentence, not good! For our entrees we had scallop risotto, which was supposed to be 2 orders but only got one, clams and bucatini which just happened to be the order he brought two of. The manager came and apologized offering to make the risotto , we decided not to wait for that and enjoyed the clams with bucatini. All our dishes were delicious and recommend each of them. Just beware the waiter may not get you order right. The timid hostess brought over a dish with a warm napkin and a lemon slice to witch the waiter a had no idea what it was for other than putting the shells in, so there were four of us and one warm napkin. It seems to me that the wait staff need to be educated on what is what and how to listen to the customer. We went at 6:30pm and the restaurant wasn't busy, but the bar seemed to be. So what I am saying about the ambiance is it was quiet, but couldn't really tell you what it would be like on a busy night. The food is worth putting up with subpar service. read more

We had a nice dinner for Hubby's birthday. The fried wild mushrooms were amazing. Seasoned and fried perfectly. I was very happy with this dish. The raw oysters were good but there were some shell bits. The baked scallop dish was too heavy for me. Tons of cream and cheese and VERY garlicky. I love garlic but I saw 3 vampires die at the table next to me just looking at that dish. The whole fish special was cooked very nice but the accompanying vegetables were not. They were soggy and sad. Our server was sweet but could be more polished. Very example, she didn't tell us which oysters were which when we specifically said we wanted 6 from east coast and 6 west coast when we ordered so obviously we cared. Been wanting to try this place for a while and so glad it didn't disappoint came here on a Monday for dinner place was pretty empty but the staff was amazing and greeted us expeditiously and was super nice along with the hostess and waiter and I assume the owner or manager who greeted us and made sure we was having a pleasant evening. Service was superb and our waitress explained everything perfectly to us on the menu expressing the most popular dishes along with her personal favorites. Food was as very flavorful and cooked to perfection. My halibut was blackened and seasoned perfectly it had a crispy exterior in some bites that was perfect with the rice and broccolini. My husband lamb was moist and delicious and my daughter tenders had the texture of fish sticks which I loved. The crab cake was similar to the Maryland crab cakes and the calamari was good as well. The service was amazing. We had the Rhode Island style calamari ($16) for the appetizer and it appears that it may have been the highlight of the entire meal. The chicken piccata spaghetti was mid ($14). The grilled salmon dish ($17) was probably the worst. The high rating goes to the sweet server who made our time enjoyable. We have eaten at Roccoco several times! Delicious Clam Chowder, Wonderful East Coast raw oysters, Steamed Littleneck Clams on point, and the Rhode Island Style Calamari delish! A miss was their famed Crab Cake $34, it was just ok, have had better- certainly not worth $34 for 1 crab cake! Another miss was their Tuna Toast, tuna was overcooked- to the point of being served gray not a vibrant pink/red like most tuna is served! Very friendly staff! We will for sure return! read more

Excellent experience. We arrived a bit early for a brunch reservation with friends, say we passed the time at that bar. I had what may be the best Bloody Mary I can remember having in a long time. After our friends arrived,, we were seated on the patio, as the weather was perfect. We had a fairly large group (7) but the service was spot on, the food was excellent, and the owner even came out to converse with us; a sign that he's really invested in his customers. Rococo on Western is our favorite restaurant in Oklahoma City. The ambience is always very chill when we've come in for dinner or brunch. My wife and I love how quiet it is and how we can have a conversation without having to raise our voices. The food is always well seasoned and very delicious. My wife and I have tried most items on the menu and have always been satisfied with our choices of the night. I will normally get their catch of the day blackened because it goes well with the dirty rice and the andouille cream sauce. My wife and I love their crème brûlée and they do it very well. While the good seafood (rarity in the Midwest) brought us in the first time, the crème brûlée is what kept bringing us back. The service is always outstanding every time we've come in. We've done special events (anniversaries and birthdays, etc) multiple times we've gotten to our table and there is a card waiting from the staff signed and personalized. This latest visit, the chef came out and apologized about how the lobster was not up to his standards and they would make it again with little delay. The personalized service is the biggest reason why we've continued to come back to Rococo on Western. We look forward to the next time we come back to Rococo on Western for 7th visit and my wife and I know you'll enjoy it too. read more

My man wanted to have a romantic evening so, we decided to try the new rococo location. We used to frequent rococo when they used to be on N Penn. I used to really enjoy their mushroom risotto, but then when I ordered it again at the Penn location it no longer tasted the same so, we stopped going. Fast forward to last Saturday evening. I had the salmon stuffed with rococo's famous crab cake and a veggie medley of some sort. The veggie mix tasted awful. I am not going to lie.. I got nauseated, because the flavor was just not good. The salmon skin on the salmon was soggy. If you're leaving the skin on, it should have been crispy IMO. Luckily, I can eat good salmon and bad salmon. My hubby's pork chops were overcooked, he thought it was okay. He enjoyed his calamari the most. The clam chowder I had was okay, not really that great. I've had clam chowder in New England, and this was just so-so. So, overall for the food quality.. the price does not equate to the quality of food we were served. However, it was edible and okay. Where things shined was the service. The lady that took care of us was amazing! The ambiance of the place is lovely as well. We were seated next to a sweet older couple, and had a good time. I am giving 3-stars primarily due to the excellent service we received. I would most definitely come back for drinks and apps, but never for a date night as the food isn't impressive. read more

First time dining at Rococo tonight and it fell short, honestly. For starters, we had the fried mushroom appetizer. The sauce was good, but the fried mushrooms were unfortunately, soggy. We did not finish this appetizer. I got the crab cake as an entree and I was SO disappointed.. it was SO salty and almost inedible. There were good chunks of crabmeat, but the breading was soggy and too salty. The best part of it was the tiny lettuce garnish with 3 grape tomato halves. I wouldn't have been able to finish the crab cake without the relief of the little salad. My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs. They were just okay. Sauce wasn't bad, but the meatballs were dry. For dessert, I got the s'mores trifle. It's a huge dense chunk graham cracker cake thing with thick, rich chocolate and an in house marshmallow on top. They brûlée it table side. The marshmallow was the best part, but after they brûlée it, it melts down to almost nothing and the flame burned the chocolate. I was unable to finish the dessert. It's a good idea, just executed poorly, in my opinion. I was unable to finish it. Overall, the restaurant is nice and the service is good. The food is just okay and overpriced. read more
