We have been wanting to try Salted Edge for a while, and we finally got around to it! To start, the location is very nice. Everything is so clean and bright, and the service from everyone from the host to our server was fantastic. We started with the bread board and Brussels. Honestly, these are both must haves in my book! The bread seemed pricey, but you get a ton of it along with several unique and delicious butters. The Brussels sat on a bed of apples and had an incredible peanut sauce on them. My burger and fries were very good. My husband had the short rib. The short ribs was fall-apart tender, and the jalepeno potato cake it sat on may have been the best part of the meal. I'm excited to go back and try more!

We came back for Valentine's Day and man they did not disappoint! They have a deal for a Prixe fixe menu and it was perfection. Out of the 3 apps we chose the short rib aranchini and cacio e pepe. Shared a 32oz porter house steak with crab legs, potato puree and carrots as sides and chose their crème brûlée as our dessert. It also came with a chefs app and a prosecco. The food was so rich and indulgent. It was the perfect Valentine's Day selection. We already talked about coming back next year!

Love this place!! The view is stunning, the service is always top notch and I love that they rotate menu items. French onion soup is a must order here

Dinner at the salted edge was just as good as brunch and just as abundant... If you want to try all the things, like I do, I would recommend taking a good dining companion who is willing to share because we had all the breads and all the things and also all the leftovers! If you're planning to dine at sunset, maybe consider where you are seated because there can be a lot of light coming in through the windows but also apparently the outdoor experience is great for sunset though I haven't experienced that yet myself. Service is always so friendly and I can't wait to come back again!

I've been here multiple times and enjoyed the meals. Salted Edge has a sophisticated but welcoming ambience with a somewhat older crowd. Beautiful place to watch the sunset and they have a bar with heated seating on the patio. We went for HH recently and enjoyed the chicken wings (great value!) and some regular priced salads. The house wines I tried were just so so, I'd go with a cocktail next time.

I really enjoy this place. The service presentation is solid. Wait staff seems to have a handle on the menu and ingredients. They do a good job of talking about menu changes and upcoming culinary changes. The bread plate is a must! A creative variety of baked items including flavorful butters. I've been about a half dozen times and there's no loser on the menu from what I've experienced. Plating creativity and portions are solid. If the weather is nice I suggest trying to sit outside. Definitely in the top 30 Omaha area restaurants!

This is a great happy hour place! HH runs Tue-Fri 4-6 pm. We arrived at 4:30 and were they're only customers. It was a windy warmish fall day but decided to sit outside on the patio. The patio is amazing! Glass windbreak panels block most of the wind and the 2 large gas firepits and several large portable heaters made sitting on the couches so cozy. The view of Westshores lake can't be beat. We chose to have the house wine but there is a tempting list of cocktails to try. We didn't try any food this time and thisisn't your typical bar food menu either. We have eaten dinner here before and it was fantastic so I'm sure these appetizers are nothing less. We left at 5:30 and the bar was pretty busy which was good to see. IMO this is one of the best happy hours with a great view. Will be back soon!

My husband, daughter and I had an amazing dinner at Salted Edge right from the beginning. All the food was cooked to perfection, we had the 16 oz dryer aged prime ribeye, lobster Mac and cheese, and the French onion soup. My daughter had the pizza from the salty kids menu. Food was hot and the wait was approximately 5-10 minutes for the appetizers and cocktails. Our entree arrived shortly after, they were freshly made. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable she explained the menu gave us recommendations and ensured that we had everything we needed. The ambiance was quiet and romantic perfect for a date night or birthday celebration.

Bison bolognese - I could not stop eating. Nearly licked my plate.

The food was exquisite. Service was excellent. Drinks, delicious. Views, lovely. The only thing I'd complain about is the noise - it's very loud, and the style of music makes everyone need to talk louder. Still, I would gladly return again. It seems tailor made for groups, and would be a really fun place to go with friends. They have a bread board that would have been too much for two, but amazing for a group! Highly recommend!

I went to Salted Edge for my 22nd birthday! They gave me a card with happy birthday written on it and free donuts at the end (totally forgot to take photo) :( Our waiter was so sweet and they give you warm towels before you eat which I think is awesome. I got the lobster mac and cheese and it was delicious! I also ate a slider and loved it as well. The brussels sprouts were good, and my family loved the food! Salted Edge also has the coolest view of West Shores and is such a cute picture spot if you want a sunset or lake background!

Although the Salted Edge is considered a pretty far drive from where I live in Omaha, I would say that it was worth trying at least once! The restaurant itself is very clean and it's nice how it's right by the lake. The food was definitely pricey, so me and my boyfriend just split a pizza! We got the hot honey pepperoni pizza and truffle fries (pictures included). Both were pretty good and it filled us up. The food did take a little longer to come out, but I won't hold this against the restaurant since it was super busy. Our server was also very nice and stopped by a few times to check on us while we waited for our food. The only thing is we had reservations for 7:30 but we weren't able to be seated until a little past 8:00 which is why I took a star off. Overall, I would recommend this place if you want to go on a nicer dinner with your significant other or a group of friends :)

We celebrated our anniversary at The Salted Edge and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming--congratulating us with a signed card and a glass of prosecco, which made the night feel extra special. The ambiance was warm and inviting. The food was outstanding: the short rib croquettes melted in our mouths, the beet & burrata salad was the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and savory, and the spa rib French onion soup was pure decadence. My husband loved the wagyu bolognese, and the Kentucky bourbon cake was truly the icing on the cake. We'll definitely be back!

    Brunch bread duo
    Julianna Z.

I've been here a few times for dinner but first for brunch today and I have to say I'm underwhelmed unfortunately. Service was inattentive and seemed like we were a mild inconvenience, the brunch bread duo was pretty underwhelming as well, the monkey bread was good but a little dry, the breakfast pizza was the star of the show and was well done but other than that I don't think I'll come back for brunch. I expected significantly better service as I've gotten at dinner service and was touting how wonderful it was to my guest and felt like I may have disappointed them. Overall, wouldn't recommend here for brunch. Espresso martini was good though but not worth the drive when there's many other better brunch options in my opinion elsewhere.

I'm always down for a steakhouse, and Farmer Brown's has all the old school, classic vibes that I & everyone love. We had a big party, so there was just a slight wait, but we were able to grab tables in the bar & get drinks until our table was ready. Zach got a Pint 9 beer, and I got a blueberry mule. Their cocktail list was extensive which I always LOVE. Great service in the bar area carried over to our actual dining experience. Quick, kind, & friendly. We got some appetizers to start: stuffed jumbo tots (my fav), onion rings, & steak egg rolls. Zach got the club steak dinner, a 10oz sirloin, with green beans & garlic mashed potatoes (a FAV side). His meal was less than $25 (crazy). I got the shaved prime sandwich with fries. Portion size was insane. Flavor of the meat, cheese, & caramelized onions was insane. It was amazing. But all the sides you get fills you up, fresh rolls, side of spaghetti (there's a different option), and hashbrowns (choice of potato). We will definitely be back, just make sure you get there early they open the doors at 5 and there was a line standing outside at 4:30 and they don't take reservations.

It's a very old school, western, and rustic type of vibe. There's a sense of rugged individualism, resilience, and Western identity. Cowboys are a big part of the theme here, hence the brand name, The Drover. Various murals of impersonations of these vaqueros plaster the walls. The lounge area gives off old mafia movie feels, as you can picture how it could be filled with clouds of cigar smoke as mafioso Capos & soldiers belly-up to the dark bar sipping on their Scotch. Once the drinks start flowing and you get relaxed then the magic starts! You won't be disappointed in the Old Fashioned, or any other type of cocktail for that matter. The fresh baked bread comes out first with a significant portion of spread butter, which is absolutely delicious! Then you realize, that this place actually still has an old school salad bar. Like as soon as I seen the salad bar with all the fixings and the homemade Thousand Island dressing, I was hooked! Finding an open buffet style salad bar these days is as rare as finding a good woman who cooks and cleans. They're like unicorns. The Drover has several cuts of meat to select from. You honestly can't go wrong with the cut that you choose. They have seafood selections as well, just in case you want to get your Surf 'N Turf on. There's one thing that you can definitely say about this place, and that's the fact that it's a no-frills type of joint. They don't waste any time with any fluff. It's strictly meat & potatoes...literally. You won't find any bartenders here doing stupid bottle tricks and begging for clicks like they do out in Vegas. Instead you'll find Tony, who just keeps the glasses full with the concoctions that you wish to imbibe on. One of the female bartenders would fit right in at home in NYC as she drops an F-bomb or two. But, I'm no Karen, so I welcome the realness. She stated, "it's so fucking hot in here", as the bar fills up and the workers get slammed! Now onto the main course: I went with the 8oz Filet and the loaded baked potato. It was delicious! Simple, tasty, and loaded with flavor. They're famous for their secret "whiskey marinade" recipe. The baked potato comes out still wrapped in its foil, which will bring back memories of when your dad would cook them on an open flame charcoal grill. Did I mention the butter? I think I ate enough butter to kill a baby cow! And, I still couldn't get enough. Overall, this place is the epitome of Midwest Steakhouses. It gets right to the point and its customers will appreciate that! One guest told the bartender that he's not from Omaha, but every time he comes into town he comes directly to The Drover to eat dinner. He stated, "I've been coming here for 28 years". Later adding, "except for the years it was burnt down". Another female bartender quickly corrected him, "it was only shutdown for 9 months". Well, when your favorite restaurant is closed for any amount of time, "it felt like years", I added, as we all got a good laugh. As one old timer who came to sit at the bar said, "this is our favorite place". Well...old cowboy, I can see why. And, just like any Old Western movie, The Drover packs a serious punch. Pro tip: they open for dinner at 5:00pm, so get here early, unless you have Reservations of course. I got there at 4:55pm, no reservation, sat at the open bar, which is first come first serve and by 5:40 the place was packed! And, this was on a Wednesday.
