Wine is delicious! Great service and atmosphere. Staff s all friendly. Menu is appetizing, however, we are before we came to go shopping!

ROSARIO S. CASSATA AT SALT & LOFT IN WESTHAMPTON BEACH LONG ISLAND, NY.

The Salt and Loft in Westhampton Beach is great place to enjoy a brunch or lunch. Grab a seat outdoors during the summer and enjoy the food and the people. I had the burger and it was delicious.

We really wanted to love this place. The space itself was so incredible cute and clean, but the service is so abysmal it's actually like they want guests to suffer. As I suspect most other diners were, we resorted to Salt & Loft because the wait at flora next door was over 2.5 hours. The man who greeted us, who I suspect is the owner, is a little off and has basically no social skills or hospitality. We were seated right away, but unfortunately I didn't check the Yelp reviews until after we were seated. I wish they were wrong, but the service here is pathetic and actually makes you sad for the one server they have who does both the serving and the bar tending and is maybe 20 years old. The owner walks around and doesn't help in any way and the tables are all complaining loudly to this poor girl. The food is delicious, though. The scallops were fantastic and seared perfectly, the mussels were so good we were basically drinking the broth they were in. The drinks were good, except for the plastic (???) wine glasses. For $70 a bottle, they can splurge on glass... I hope I won't be back, but the lack of nice restaurants in west Hampton suggests otherwise. STOP OVERWORKING YOUR STAFF! They were clearly unhappy and suffering At your mismanagement.

Nice corner in Westhampton. Nice place for drinks. The food was limited and just ok but very overpriced. don't mind prices if good.

A big thank you to our waiter Michael for his generous hospitality and for making my birthday lunch…read moreso special! Fauna was on our list of restaurants to try for a while and I'm so glad this was my decision. Hot and dirty martini to start b/c why not! So good. 10/10 Popovers one word. Get! Soft, warm, delicious buttery goodness! 10/10 Lobster bisque rich and creamy, I loved mine, my wife found hers to be a little too salty. 8/10 Almond crusted flounder, decent portion flavors blended nicely with the salad, tomatoes, and capers. 7/10 Green goddess Orecchiette very flavorful. Peas gave a good sweetness, pasta had a good lemony taste, the slow roasted ricotta had a strong sun-dried tomato flavor which paired well with the focaccia bread. 8/10 Expresso martini one of the best I have ever had. 10/10 Pecan chocolate cake for dessert, rich and decadent. 10/10 Highly recommend, and we both look forward to returning. The service from Michael was top notch!

What a terrible experience. We had eaten at Flora a few days earlier and had the most delicious…read morefood and excellent service. Well, we met the complete opposite arriving at Fauna. We only saw the waitress one time. After waiting 15 minutes, she arrived to take our order and we NEVER saw her again. The potato purée with truffle cream and leeks, which we requested to arrive first hadn't arrived after what seemed like 15 to 20 minutes so we got up from the table and apparently they made a mistake and it should've been brought to the table and when it did, it was cold or barely warm. We tried to find someone to get us to help us, but after five minutes gave up and decided to eat it. You couldn't taste any truffle and we ate it just because we were hungry, but it was extremely disappointing. There were hardly any leaks on it and they were overcooked. Next, there was confusion over our entrée which we were splitting and we wanted to come out and we again had to try to track someone down to explain to please send out the entrée. When it arrived, the fish had been pounded down thin and was covered in breading and so much oil that it was completely disgusting and inedible. Instead of a beautiful piece of juicy flounder, we got a dry, oily thin piece, which was mostly breading and really disgusting. It had no flavor. Green beans which they put a fancy name on to make it sound special while they were overcooked and tasteless and the sweet potatoes were watered down. The rum banana was overcooked and would have been better suited as a dessert. We then had to get up from the table again because we never found our waitress so we had to go to the hostess so we can retrieve our bill and left a very undeserving 15% tip. We managed to find someone else to bring us some containers to take on the food that we hadn't eaten and in the end, I don't know why we bothered because it went in the garbage. If you want terrible service and terrible food, then head on over to Fauna . If you want good service and good food walk a few feet and there you have Flora. Flora is a small intimate restaurant that is decorated beautifully had amazing service and cooks their food perfectly. They treat each customer as if they are their most special customer. We felt welcomed there and we felt like they went above and beyond to make us happy. It was such a different experience going to that. We are shocked the same owners owned both restaurants. Maybe they should try switching managers so Fauna can learn how to run things more like Flora. I have a feeling that Fauna makes most of their money on alcohol because you certainly don't wanna go there for the food or ambience. It's noisy and obnoxious. If you want a peaceful restaurant, that's beautiful and knows what their theme is then go on over to Flora. Fauna has lamps with deer, antlers and wood that is dark and uninviting and strange wallpaper with different animals on it in the bathroom and terrible smelling soap. Their menu is confusing as with their music, which was a mix of salsa and a type of music you would expect in a Mexican restaurant. You really missed the mark Fauna.

We walked into the bar area, which was filled with happy, convivial people, and smelt strongly of beer. Oops. I saw "The Look" on my mother's face. But I found the hostess, and we were seated in a lovely, quiet dining area, which did not smell of beer at all. Our server, a cheerful and friendly young woman (I forgot her name, alas), bustled over and took our orders. I ordered a gluten-free bun (yay!), and she asked whether I could have fries that were cooked in a fryer where wheat was fried. I can, but that was surprisingly thoughtful! She has a friend with celiac disease. The food was WONDERFUL!! The Mommy had a Caesar salad with salmon. The piece of salmon was huge and perfectly cooked, exactly the way she likes it! My turkey burger was delicious. Not dry. So yummy. The fries were crispy! We were delighted to have tried this place, and I cannot wait to return! Also, I left the lights on in the Audi, and they made an announcement. This was awesome, as I did not want to call my brother for a jump AGAIN. He lectures me. Ugh.
