I was craving a hot dog and saw this restaurant nearby. I was pleasantly surprised by just how good the chili cheese and sauerkraut dogs were! Nothing like a Nathan's dog on a hot day. The only thing I wish is that they had metal silverware since they gave us all individually wrapped plastic forks which just seemed like a massive waste of plastic and contributes to our landfills and microplastics. I went to Hampton Gyro for the first time. I made the mistake of ordering at the Riverhead location through the app instead of ordering for pick up at the Hampton Bays location. I was running late to get back to work on time and would have gone back to work without lunch. The gentlemen running the counter was extremely helpful. He let me know that he will contact the Riverhead location for me as well as remake my entire order at the correct location. On top of the amazing service the food is amazing!!! This is a bright, clean space, with tables and booths. I liked the menu. We decided on hot dogs, and to split an order of fries. The hot dogs, with sauerkraut, were yummy. The fries were crispy. You order and pay at the counter, and then someone brings your food to your table. Service, from a smiling and cheerful woman, was great. I'd love to go back and try some of their other offerings! The food was great, the menu offers lots of choices plus service with a smile. So happy we found this place. When traveling East we usually stop at a chain fast casual restaurant for lunch (think soup, salad and bread) and that's always disappointing but fills the stomach. We'll never do that again... this is fast but sooo much better, fresher and cleaner. In addition we prefer supporting a local business instead of a corporate restaurant. Heeded our east for the day just to take a ride. Came across the Hampton Gyro And Grill and looked like a nice place to grab a bite with my wife and daughter. There was an extensive menu on the wall. They even have beer and wine. We ordered 2 Greek Salads and a Chicken Caesar Wrap. We were able to sit down in a booth, our first indoor dining experience since the pandemic started so we we very grateful to be there. Our food took some time to come out because it was made fresh. My wife and I shared the salad and wrap. Both were vey good and fresh. The restaurant was very clean and well kept with a nice decor. The staff were pleasant and efficient! Felt like O was in one of my fave Greek places in Huntington but yet it was right out here where we are luck to have Greek. Place was clean, bright and bustling. My family loved this place! We didn't eat in, but ordered to go from their robust menu after a long day of fishing and hanging out on the beach. Nice, upper casual place. We ordered 3 platters for the adults and 2 kids tenders and the soup! I'll go back just for the soup-it was delicious! It was the last meal before heading back home, and I must say it was the best one of our week-long trip through NY. You enter to an area where the menu is on the board and the choices are simple and clear to make that important decision....of what you are going to eat! Today I had the gyro with fries $11.41 with tax. They give you a number to take the your seat. In minutes, your food comes to your table. The gyro is plenty full of delicious lamb slices, lettuce and tomato and tzatziki sauce. The gyro was delicious and at a nice temperature. The fries, crisp and plentiful. Starving fam after a few hours of beachcombing, don't worry we were all safe with masks and all. Wanted something quick without having to go to the only 2 fast food joints in the area. Yelp to the rescue! Hampton Gyro was a place I've been wanting to try for a while and though it took a pandemic to get me here, I'm so happy it did. Place your orders online for now off of their website! And their "ready in 15 min" really means "we'll be ready in 15 min" ! Placed our order from the beach parking lot, drove the 15 min to the restaurant and our bag of goodies was sitting by the front door piping hot and ready to go! Sadly no pictures because we literally devoured everything the minute we walked in the house. Accordingly to my oldest their gyro cheesesteak pita was off the chain delicious and my middle son loved their classic gyro. Beyond overstuffed with meat and veggies it was well worth the price tag. My souvlaki sandwich was also amazing and again abundantly stuffed with meat as well and not just the usually pittance of 4 chunks of meat either. Veggies were fresh and crisp and my 4yo thought their kids cheeseburger and fries combo was the best he's ever had. I am by no means a Greek Food expert but I have tried the Gyro's and they are served attractively and are delicious! The other day my wife and I just felt like having a hot dog for lunch! Mine was accompanied with Batter Dipped Onion Rings, my wife's with hand cut fries! Delicious, fresh food! I visited Hampton Gyro and Grill for the first time this evening and I was blown away by not only their menu options but their "Gyro Burrito"! They first start off by asking you what sort of burrito would you want, they had fresh tomato basil, whole wheat, or the original tortilla. I of course got the whole wheat with their suckling chicken as my choice of protein. What was inside the burrito you may ask, well folks they had this delicious, fantastic Marinated grilled chicken that made my toes curl, with some cheesy but nothing crazy Rice! All wrapped up in a whole wheat tortilla! And to top it all off, the burrito wasn't overly stuffed like some other places, it was a perfect burrito with a kick! Very light, truly amazing. Very nice inside. It's set up like the previous establishment, but seems newer inside. The menu is BIG. Plenty to choose from. It's a basic, but extensive menu that covers the usual Greek dishes, including pastichio and mousakka. I was greeted warmly when I stepped up. The young lady taking my order was very nice. You order, pay and then step down to get your food. By the pick up spot the next young lady, using my name, asked if I wanted utensils and napkins (I ordered the food to go). I was quickly packed up and on my way. I wanted to sample as much as possible, so I ordered the Gyro Platter ($14.50) which comes with a very generous portion of gyro meat (I chose the beef), Greek side salad, fries, warm pita and tzatziki. I can tell you the food was delicious. I enjoyed every bite. The meat was done perfectly. Tender. The salad wasn't over dressed and had red onion, cherry tomato and Kalamata olives. The pita was still warm when I got back to my office. The fries were so-so, but fine. I don't expect great fries with a gyro, but I wasn't disappointed with these. You won't be disappointed. Came out to Hampton Bays as a last minute getaway to give ourselves a break from NYC lockdown during the COVID19 situation. This place was recommended as a good choice nearby where we were staying for a few days. We ordered the Gyro sandwich with fries, Beef gyro bowl and the Gyro cheesesteak. Everything was good except that we didn't get what we ordered. The restaurant gave us a Chicken gyro sandwich instead of a bowl. Person getting the wrong item was disappointed.
