Clam Pizza
Daniel G.

I really wanted to try this place or their sister location in the city for years but it never quite worked out until now. We had to wait a while to be seated- definitely easier for two people than for parties bigger than that because they don't really have bigger tables! Once we did, I loved the clam pizza which lived up to the hype and makes me want to try Frank Pepe's in New Haven for comparison. It was also bigger than your typical coal-fired pizza which makes the price seem more acceptable. Service was friendly and helpful. Would like to go back and try some of their other pizzas too.

Closer to a 3.5 but just didn't reach that 4 star realm for me. This establishment was designed for smaller, intimate groups preferably 2 people. Anymore than that, you may be waiting a while, we had a party of 4. Is it worth the wait? That is debatable.... it's essentially a rustic Neapolitan wood fired style pizza place - smallish menu. Very cozy and incredible service. Burrata salad was just ok, could have used a little bit more depth in its flavor profile. The mushroom pizza was unique and crispy, absolutely delicious but I found the dough was a little too charred for my liking, a bit burnt. Vodka pizza was also just ok, needed a little more pizazz. If I came back, I would either have a smaller group or just took out.

Gelato! Kids loves it !

Great Food, nice atmosphere... We tried three great Pizza pies which came made to perfection. We also enjoyed delicious appetizers of zucchini balls which came with a side of sauce which made great dipping starter. They were fresh and hot ! The salad my wife had was also very flavorful for the perfect Summer dinner. We closed with a nice expresso and some gelato. Great Spot the family enjoyed it !

Margherita

Best pie I've ever had. Margherita was simple and perfect. Crust is lite and sauce is rustic.

Brunetti Pizza is the BEST of the BEST. Wow. What an awesome experience it was to eat at this amazing pizzeria. We had to wait a little to be seated but it was totally worth it. This place is booming during the summer and full of laughs and life. Once we were seated our waiter was just so so nice. We absolutely loved Michael aka Michele! We ordered the Quattro formaggi pizza and the mozzarella di buffala one. Just wow. Our pizzas were paired with a Peroni and the pink pepper IPA that happens to be from my hometown where I grew up. It was such a great experience. We felt right at home. It wasn't just about the pizza and the amazing food but the sense of community. We can't wait to be back on our next trip! All the ingredients were so fresh and delicious. Side note: I accidentally butt dialed 911 and the cops came LOL, also that same night they lost power. Still. It was such an amazing experience and we just had the best of time sitting outside, enjoying the breeze, watching the night fall, sipping our beer while enjoying a BOMB pizza. Grazie mille Michele and the staff! You all were wonderful.

Small pizza joint on the strip with great pies. Crust is A+. Sauce and toppings were solid. They also have chili oil and flakes - love having both options. They have a few outdoor tables and we were able to walk in on a Saturday night. The bar seats look like a good vibe. I'll definitely have the pizza again, but it took 3 tries to serve us the correct salad, so perhaps we'll take out next time. Love having a local pizza place with individual sized pies.

We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday and let our server know we were there for a special occasion. He treated us extremely well, bought my mom a birthday cocktail and dessert, and walked us through the menu to make recommendations on what we definitely had to try as first timers. For appetizers we had local oysters on the half shell which were fresh and delicious, and shrimp cocktail which was sizable. We went with the endive salad in between which was crisp and well balanced, the honey mustard dressing really brings it all together. We also had the baked clams which were cooked perfectly, and burrata which was so, so creamy. For entrees we ordered the spicy vodka rigatoni which I think might be the best I've ever had. The sauce was rich and perfectly spicy. We also had the whole branzino which was excellent, cooked just right. The steak frites were also the right temperature, and the truffle fries hit the spot. We had the chocolate souffle cake for dessert which was rich and decadent. If you're looking for somewhere to celebrate a special occasion, I would recommend this place.

Roman Roth [and his wife]. He had multiple wine dinners where we had an opportunity to try some of these new red and white wines and really took a liking to them. We joined their wine club as soon as we returned home so we'll have more to enjoy during the year. Let me be honest... I have been drinking and collecting Roman Roth wines for years now and have always enjoyed them. The team that took care of us was amazing. Nothing but smiles and service. We were very lucky to have the opportunity to experience this wonderful visit. The only downside is that the drive from mid-island to the Hamptons can get a little long. This was a small price to pay for the wonderful experience we had. KUDOs to the team at Wolffer Estate Vineyard

Why have I been walking past Alpina everytime I'm in Greenport?…read more Was it the dark atmosphere? Did I think I was getting just another American-German influenced restaurant with only brats and potato pancakes? Did I expect polka? The experience was actually slow and refined, without the white tablecloths. Alpina has German, Swiss, and slightly Northern Italian influenced cuisine, along with a selection of alcohols I was completely unfamiliar with... which made the experience feel full of new things. The most memorable food was actually one of the simplest. The chef prepared incredibly creamy, caramelized onions with a slight sauerkraut tang that was amazeballs. I told our waiter that I'd write him a love letter over it, and here I am! The pappardelle had shredded duck, cheese, and big, fun, chewy noodles that were satisfying to slurp. It just needed a dash of pepper to elevate it. The meat and cheese board included a few things I'd never tried before, and it was so good I was searching for a meat shop in Manhattan so we could buy them again. Portion sizes aren't huge for the price, but it was worth it to us. We read a recent review where someone proclaimed the owner to be nasty & unfriendly (sure, I am paraphrasing). Those types of reviews are generally emotionally charged and written by plebs I find. More on that toward the end. Pulling up to a rather unassuming east end Long Island small shopping plaza drenched in rain; opening the door, you are taken back to a semi rustic and dim interior. Perfectly elegant in its bucolic charm- with nice lounge music playing. It is a sit where one likes atmosphere. This is meant with the utmost of respect and candour. We were greeted kindly by the proprietoress (Jacqueline), and handed pleasantly robust binders with the wine list and food. Deciding to treat this in the more European café type, we had glasses and charcuterie. I, the Sagrantino, and her the Kerner. Jacqueline was vocally pleased with our interesting choices. The night drew on, more wine ensued, more food, multiple conversations, and I completed reading through each page and wine choice...finding much to be recognised and appreciated (Kirwan, Moric, Georg Breuer to name but a few) At the end of the night, I asked Jacqueline to pick an appropriate nightcap. She not only delivered, but gave us a wonderful story including the provenance and her experiences - ultimately, the word genius came up more than once. To wit, there was nothing here but an exceptional experience with a like-minded wine enthusiast. I felt welcomed and in the frith of old kin. Nasty, belligerent, dullard atmosphere- indeed not.
