Restaurant gives off that old turn of the century vibe with plenty of wood paneling but providing quite a few TVs for viewing pleasure across from the bar area. Immediately greeted and seated and warmly welcomed by our server Christian who provided excellent suggestions and honest feedback on specific menu options. Started off with the Bavarian pretzel which was served hot and soft with two dippings ( cheese and honey mustard ). After getting some suggestions we decided on the Thanksgiving and Ruben sandwiches. The Thanksgiving sandwich was outstanding. Turkey was moist and stuffing not too dry served with choice of fries or mashed potatoes. My friends Ruben was very good; meat not to dry and well seasoned. The sweet potato fries were a cut above the usual French fry options. Drinks were healthy pores as well Overall great pub serving reasonably priced food fare with great customer service. Definitely worth a visit when attending an event at The Suffolk Theater or returning from a tour of the local vineyards.

Everything here is indulgently delicious but my utmost favorite is their housemade cold macaroni salad. It's nothing fancy ingredients wise, but it's soo comforting and just the right balance of macaroni, a hint of veggies, eggs and mayo! No reservations taken and it gets packed during peaked season out east but the wait isn't long and watching the interactions between Lolly, the staff and the locals that frequent this spot is heartwarming and fun. It's CASH ONLY so be mindful of that before visiting!

Cabbage soup with bison is incredible and I don't even like cabbage. The beef burger and bison burger both taste really good and I do enjoy their steak fries when they are cooked properly. My biggest grape with this place is the service. I've never had a great waitress there. It's a small place and the service is never adequate. The last time we went there, they brought out my husband's food and forgot to put in my order. My food arrives 15 minutes later, overcooked. I sent my parents here for their anniversary year or so ago and their service was terrible as well.

The live piano, which I believe is on Fridays, was such a great touch and made the experience different than many of the other establishments in Riverhead. The food all around was very yummy. It was my first time trying bison and I really enjoyed it. It was leaner than beef yet still had so much flavor. The corn could have had a little more on it but I think it was just a bad piece.
